Hi guys! I'm new to the Aneros world but I was so inclined to buy my first prostate massager after reading some of your comments and feedback. I decided on the Progasm for myself because I've got some experience already with receptive anal play. I've spent a lot of time reading on the Wiki, the learning centre and various blogs about prostate orgasm techniques and how to use the Progasm and I'm seeing some positive results but also not sure where to go from there.
Anyway.. I've had just under 10 sessions so far with my new toy. I'm definitely noticing pre-cum (although its not white fluid like the prostate milking techniques i've read.. for me it's translucent), and when I get really excited my body will be shaking a bit. Usually starts with my legs starting to wiggle and then grows to a full body shiver.
I've gotten myself to that point a couple times, while watching porn, but I don't really know how to progress past that point. Should I hold a kegel contraction as long as possible? Should I hold a rectal contraction? Both? I don't know if it's a "keep doing what you're doing, just do it longer" type of approach or rather "take it to the next step / next level by doing ___"

One thing I would humbly suggest as a one year user, with some success is to refrain from watching porn during your session. Before is ok though. Porn can visually distract you from the very small sensations that you start getting during your session. It's these small sensations that you can subtlety feel that can build up to a mind blowing orgasm. Porn takes your mind away from these sensations. At least it does for me. I noticed that early on and some longtime P-play veterans here can confirm that. Before your session is ok as it can help with arousal. Total Mind/Body arousal is the key to success most if not all of the time. Good luck.
A lot of this is about developing the sensations over time, so if you're enjoying yourself already you're doing ok.
For a lot of people it's a matter of managing expectation, as some people get frustrated if they aren't progressing or expect things to feel a certain way instead of letting things happen naturally. It's a good idea to pay attention to how you feel, but try not to steer the boat yourself and let your body do what it will.
On the other hand, doing contractions regularly might help to sensitize your prostate, it depends on the individual whether "do something" or "do nothing" works.
That seems to be great progress for not even 10 sessions, legs and whole body shaking are a good sign. At that point you could try to amplify what you're feeling with more stimulation, since you're already using porn, you could add nipple stimulation, caress your body everywhere, or vocalize, let out some moans and groans in sync with what you're feeling. See if you get more sensations or if you stay at the same level.
On the other hand, what I would recommend at that point is to try to relax into the shaking, breathe deeply, close your eyes and see what happens. That's seems counter intuitive but what seems to work best for most people. You want to let your body to take over and try to not interfere.
You'll have to build arousal and relax at the same time, but for now it might be hard for your body and mind to separate the two. Basically it's quite possible that you'll progress without changing anything as you get used to the new sensations, its still early to tell.
The shaking and the translucent precum happens to me too. Personally, I don't know if the shaking is from the aneros working, or if I'm in the wrong position for me, as in there might be too much tension.
I've had some success from long contractions, but nothing major. You should definitely try it. Try everything you think might work, because each person i different, and you never know what could work for you.
It sounds like you've made good progress, so I'd say keep it up.

IMHO, @Spikester71 is correct about porn watching, @jspad is correct about letting things happen naturally, without expectations. @Zentai 's words about relaxing are also wise. As @Lakesky noted everybody is different and you need to try all the combinations you asked about, this is your learning journey and it sounds like you are doing just fine with only 10 sessions under your belt. Just continue with your experimentation, there is no specific formula for success (please see Super-O Myths & Illusions regarding a couple of myths). There are various combinations which each individual needs to discover through trial and error for himself.

You mention your bodies physical response to the toy (shivering, pre-cum), but you didn't mention the sensations you feel. Not watching porn will help you concentrate on those sensations. See if you can feel the toy inside you. Through very slow micro-clenching (try and stay under 50% if possible, even 10-30% is good, whatever those percentages mean to you), see if you are able to discern different sensations. Do you feel warmth or even a burning (not the pain kind of burning, but a lit-up feeling)? Do you feel tingling? Can you find a spot that feels nice and keep the toy gently rubbing against that spot? As others say, moan into those good feelings. Close your eyes, partially or fully, to help concentrate on those sensations. With eyes closed, you can mentally envision the toy. The imagination is very helpful, even a trigger for for some of us. If you really are turned on by porn and don't want to go without it for now, find some good audio porn, and have that playing in the background. Otherwise try ASMR or music. Or nothing.

Had to laugh a little. In a good way. I can now almost literally move my prostate with my nipples. Never would of thought it would be possible a year ago. I can now have some pretty intense dry Os by nipples with the aneros in place.

Personally I think it's the most important thing together with concentration and mindset. Worth reading about it. Deep breaths and abdominal breathing both work wonders.
