The Aneros product line began as a device for self-administered prostate massage to deal with various medical issues.  An unexpected side effect was discovered - orgasms.  Does stimulation of the prostate via Aless orgasms have the same beneficial effects as prostate massage with an Aneros device?

@OntheJourney, Good question! Yes, the Aneros was developed in the mid 1990's, I believe, by a Japanese urologist, for a self-administered prostate massage without having to go an urologist's office. The Aneros was developed to alleviate such issues an enlarged prostate (BPH). Many guys noticed that using the Aneros has huge erotic benefits too.

I began using the Aneros in early june 2012. I had to have regular Aneros sessions, about 3-4 times a week. In the process, not only did the Aneros stimulate my prostate, it also awakened it. Also the Aneros toned my anal canal and musculature. The Aneros directions for use recommends practicing the Kegel Exercises every day. The Kegels became a highly erotic practice.

Then in mid September 2016, I reached a tipping point and began experiencing Super-O's and MMO's which I could produce either the Aneros or even in Aless. About that time, my nipples came alive. Nipple diddling particularly at night became a major source of pleasure. Just by diddling my nipples, I now can rev up my Aless and produce Super-O's and MMO's anytime of day or night, particularly in bed in night.

I believe through my own experience if you have a toned prostate and anal musculature and perform the Kegels, you can exercise the prostate. But it is good to have an Aneros session once a week, perhaps more often if you choose. The Aneros does massage your prostate and your anal musculature nonetheless. The Aneros is a highly erotic device!

Thanks for the insight and advice.  Thinking back to when I started using Aneros products I was so focused on achieving an orgasm that I was getting in my own way.  It wasn't until I truly followed the product instructions and suggestions by Forum members that I began to feel anything remotely leading to an orgasm.  If I had to start over again I would focus on getting a good prostate massage, relaxing, deep breathing, Kegel exercises, nipple diddling, being aware of any little sensation and just enjoying the moment.  I believe the "side effect" of orgasms would have occurred much sooner.  Hindsight is 20/20.
