Age and success with aneros

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it seems that the older users tend to have success more easily/fully than the younger ones. Now even if that's true of the forum users, that is not necessarily a representative sample of all Aneros users, and it could be due to a different variable that correlates with age. But I can't help but think: greater brain plasticity (easier re-wiring) and reduced sex drive (or at least frequency of ejaculation) have got to help a lot with the journey. And perhaps greater patience comes with age, too...

Disregarding the physical elements that I'm not qualified to comment on, I'd say patience is definitely a factor - both in pacing the sessions from each other, and what occurs during a session.

It's long been my contention guys that younger bucks have a more difficult time because of the strong urge to resort to traditional means and stimulus. They're too accustomed to straining, tensing, holiding the breath and pushing toward climax that doing the opposite that's required for success here is more of a challenge with the hormonally charged backdrop. Certainly not impossible but harder to deal with in those days when the slightest brush brings a raging erection.

As a matter of personal experience I would not agree. I'm one of the OTA's (Older Than Average) at 68. I've been using the helix for almost two months now and patiently waiting for response. I just got a progasm, and am now at least experiencing some faint tickle.

A buddy of mine, who is also on the forum, and age 30, got his about 3 or 4 weeks ago after hearing me talk about and what I should eventually experience. He began to have significant response in his very first session. The other night he said he experienced what he thinks were two Super-O's.

At least for the two of us, our experience doesn't fit the theory.

We would have to do a very carefully constructed poll to discover whether or not age is a factor. I believe that you would have to have a poll for each age group, perhaps by decades to gather the data. The compare the result between the polls. Forum polls need to be carefully crafted to yield meaningful results.

To clarify I was referring to the 18-25 age group with my comments. Of course there is no hard and fast rule with this or any black and white - there's always a bit of gray. However based on conversations in the forum and chat it seems to be the case that younger (18-25) will occasionally experience a bit slower pace in the rewire.

As one of restorme's 'OTA gang' I'd say that age isn't a major factor.

I think that personality profile, the breadth of orgasmic experience, anal experience, cognitive mindset, homophobic concerns (getting more scarce), and spirituality are central to the ease of rewiring. If we ignore all those factors, I'd hazard that if there's a 'sweet spot' it's probably in one's mid-20s.

Some time back a poll looked at age and we noted a lack of forum presence by men in their 30's. General discussion attributed that to family and professional commitments and the concomitant lack of spare time these gents have to undertake a relaxed Aneros journey. Those same stressors probably affect speed of rewiring for guys in their 30's and 40's.

I realize that we aren't reaching solid conclusions here, and of course anecdotal evidence could support either side. However, the phenomenon of brain "rewiring" generally occurs more as we age (50+). The thought behind this is that while our raw cognitive power (learning & speed of processing) decreases with age, our brains become more plastic to compensate. Anyway, I'm mostly just speculating.

I'm 24 and have had trouble with the re-rewiring process. It's been over a year and 4 months. I know that Arctice Wolves is pretty young, though, and he's had great success.

Hi, guys...age 64 here and loving my toys. I have wonderful, full blown Super O's regularly, and "rewired" after about 6 months of Aneros use.

I don't know if age has anything to do with it overall, but I know that younger guys do experience quicker response, almost always have erections with Aneros use, and often ejaculate in conjunction with Aneros sessions.

I know that I have had a wonderful time, and hope for similar results for all men. I guess it's a surprise to me that some guys just don't get there, but if you're on your way, keep working at it.

Restorme, be patient, man, you're just starting! I hate to tell you this, but it could be 3 months OR MORE before you begin to achieve success...but keep working on it, man...it's worth the work, believe me.

Maybe it is because older guys are more experienced in life and have learned to accept and savour pleasures that our bodies are capable of and not try to run a marathon or climb a mountain. I am nearly 57 and know my erection is not as strong as it used to be and my 'morning glory' does not happen as much as it used to and Mrs c doesn't want sex as often as we used to. But hay if it happens then it is a bonus.

Maybe it is we more mature people have more time to investigate and therefore, don't need to rush it. Early retirement has many benefits one of which is 3 to 5 hour undisturbed session is possible and therefore, no need to rush. Achieving a Supper O within 2 hours waists the remaining 1 to 3 hours. What next...

I would have to agree with Rook on this, that age is not necessarily a major factor in ones success with the Aneros. But in as much as age can be a factor in developing ones mindset, it may be something to consider. I would say that a case could be made that older men have an easier time discovering the Super O as well! Older men having had a longer history of ejaculation are often more open to the alternative experience and are more able to defer gratification (which is a major factor in the rewiring process). Offsetting this however is the tendency for more mature men to be resistant to change. These are generalizations of course, how this plays out in the individual is a function other factors, as above.
