Hi there,
I have used a Helix prostate massager in the past but didn't get much benefit from it and I actually threw it away because I thought that there is no use in keeping one if it doesn't work for me and I doubted the whole concept of being able to milk your prostate. The main reason that I wanted to get a prostate massager is for medical reasons as I suspect that I have some kind of prostate problem due to the fact that I have lower back pain, dribbling after urination and sexual problems even though my doctor denies that there is something physically wrong with me, he seems to think its all psychological. I am desperate to solve these problems and after checking out the reviews on Aneros stimulators, I want to try one of these massagers once again. Since the Helix didn't seem to work for me last time, should I try again with the Helix or should I try something else. I purchased a Rude Boy massager recently but found it to be a bit big (i.e. the diameter) and somewhat painful to use and it kept on slipping out.I don't have the patience to keep my hand on it to keep it in place for any length of time. The Aneros stimulators seem more suitable but I have doubt if they'll work properly. Does my height make any difference (I'm 5ft10in). I was thinking of getting the Euphos because its a bit longer but then on the website it says that its more for advanced /experienced users which I'm not. So, I'm a bit confused as to which one to choose.
Has anyone else managed to cure prostate problems through the use of one of these stimulators?
Any help is much appreciated
N
Hello, noor.
First, note that I'm no expert and only have 7 months experience with Aneros.
Many of us here have reported improved prostate health after using an Aneros regularly for at least 3 months. That said, there are no peer-reviewed, published medical studies to support the idea that Aneros massagers provide health benefits.
Since you had no success with Helix, it is unlikely that simply changing models would make a difference unless you change your way of interacting with the Aneros. A fresh start using any of the devices, with attention to the procedures presented in the Aneros Wiki (linked above on this page) might, repeat might yield better results. With these things, it's 90% you and 10% device in terms of potential success.
Sincerely,
Dave
noor,
Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers. I think you must first understand the Aneros is not likely to "cure" anything but it can definitely provide symptomatic relief for some conditions and does promote healthy prostate functioning.

IMHO, your attitude has a great influence on the efficacy of your massager. If you think it won't work for you, you are probably correct. If you believe they will be effective, you are also probably correct. 'Milking' your prostate of seminal fluids can be learned. You can read a short paragraph about Prostate Milking in the “Your Body” chapter of the Aneros WIKI. You can read a longer treatise on prostate milking technique and issues from Lady Lubyanka. There is also a well written blog by Andr. titled HOW TO MILK A BULL which gives step by step descriptions of the process.

High Island Health LLC is the parent company & manufacturer of the Aneros® brand of prostate massagers. This patented device was originally and is currently offered for sale as the Pro-State® line of massagers on the High Island Health website. The HIH website is primarily oriented toward the health aspects and benefits of prostate massage in accord with Oriental medicine for prostate related issues. A forum for users to discuss practice with these devices also exists on that website, I encourage you to check out that site to learn more about the health benefits, the ongoing Columbia Medical School study using the Pro-State massagers and testimonials from users regarding their experiences. The Aneros® website, by contrast, is oriented toward the sensual pleasure aspects of prostate massage.

No, any model would be suitable for a man of your height. You could even accomodate the SGX, which is recommended for men under 5'-6" (1.68m). I would recommend you try either the MGX or the Maximus in lieu of the Eupho model.
P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started here.
Hey noor,
I'm not a doc but have been around long enough that many friends and golf buds commiserate with me about their Prostate issues. I've suggested the HIH website to several those gents and have shared my Aneros experience with two guys who visited the HIH website and said, "that HIH gadget sure looks like a sex toy I've seen."
In my not so humble opinion your complaints of pain and dribbling are not "normal." I would ask for a diagnosis for each and a concise referral to a professional who can help.
To me, that means that you should be seen by a Urologist for the urinary issues and some sequence of professionals (I know not which) to nail down the pain issue.
With over 15 years of solid experience with an over sized Prostate, I can vouch for the ability of Aneros massagers to significantly reduce the amount of medication I take to pee freely, anytime I wish. I no longer have frequency, urgency or poor stream control issues and manage that on half the medication that I used to take.
I've recently moved to the VIce as my most effective massage tool. It's faster than my old routine with two massagers.
I strongly suggest you see our doc again. Living with undiagnosed pain is a bummer. ...rook
