Hello,
I have the Helix and the Helix Syn, but I stopped using the Helix because when I first got it, it felt like it was putting too much pressure on my prostate. I purchased the Syn and have been using it instead until recently. Since I could at least feel something with my Helix, I reverted back to it. I could feel the pressure, but after a while, it started tingling in a good way. I waited a day and used it again and got the same results however, afterwards, my prostate (or maybe the muscles?) ached a little bit. Not even really aching, it just kind of felt tired if that makes sense. It was like this for a couple of days. Should I wait a little bit and try it again, or go back to my syn?
@noobtube, its really up to you if you wait. I doubt your doing any harm. Most likely your just working muscles that arent used to this kind of workout or are weak, which is normal. Some people have sessions everyday while others wait a few days inbetween. I've been using aneros for almost 2 yrs now and still have times where i get achy muscles down there.
Why is it I don't feel pressure from the syn like I do from the classic?
@noobtube, I'm not sure on that one, since i have no experience with the syn, other then i have read reviews that say the p-tab arm on the syn is more springy-like compared to the rigid helix classic. Also the silicone coating might be soft enough to seem like its not touching. To be honest with you though, how much pressure you feel on your prostate is no indication of how well the aneros is working in my opinion. The aneros massager gently massages your prostate, so there are times when it will feel like it has disappeared on you, so that is a normal feeling.
You feel more pressure with the classic because of the rigidity of the P-tab which causes the head of the massager to pivot into your prostate gland. The P-tab of the Syn is quite flexible which causes the head of the Syn to slide up and down more over the back of the gland and pivot into it less. How much pressure you consciously "feel" inside is no indication of how well the massager is stimulating the gland, but is rather a newbie's typical response to what they're feeling inside before the gland becomes "awakened" to the subtle sensations.
