Hi, I've been following a few guides and using my aneros. I had a quick question about the process for all the experienced guys here.
Here's my progress:
I use the aneros syn, I recently took the advice to stop masturbating and porn and I've seen a sharp rise in general pleasure in my aneros sessions. (Solid 10-20 second long P-waves, whereas before I was feeling twitches with no pleasure at all).
So my question is, relating to saving cum to increase sensitivity.
a) Does the body only need to save cum (as in don't ejaculate) before an aneros session to build sensitivity over time?
OR
b) Does the body need to save cum, AND abstain from nightly aneros sessions to build sensitivity?
I ask because I've stopped touching my penis at all, I dont cum, but I have an aneros session every day or every other day now and I'm wondering if I'm shooting myself in the foot here or if it's okay to do regular aneros sessions to build practice and sensations AS I build up cum storage (i.e. more sensitivity).
Do regular (daily or almost every other day) sessions dull the sensations? Or does the regular practice help create more sensitivity?

Those aren't really either/or questions. First, I question the use of the word 'need' here. Since there aren't really any "RULES" on how you employ your Aneros tools, it might be better to use the words want or desire in lieu of need. Biologically, pleasure is probably the primary motivating concept overlaying the genetic programing for reproduction, which for males, involves the ejaculation of semen during copulation. Thus, the species may need to ejaculate to reproduce but does not need to ejaculate to have pleasurable orgasmic experiences.
Please forgive me if I'm misinterpreting your use of the word "sensitivity" here but I think you are equating this with arousal level. I applaud your desire to incorporate temporal abstinence into your Aneros practice and that you've discovered the heightened arousal level the practice of semen retention can induce (reference Are you "aroused"? & Aneros, Arousal & Abstinence/Semen Retention.)
... IMHO, daily use of an Aneros or any prostate stimulator may actually lead to a desensitization of the prostate. We have no data or studies to support this so it is just my intuitive thought on the topic. I think breaks between Anerosessions allows for physical revitalization of nerves and neurotransmitters employed by those nerves, promoting prostate health in general. Like getting a good nights rest, giving your prostate a rest seems like a good idea to me.
Studies have shown that temporal abstinence following ejaculation induces a rise in testosterone which peaks about 7 to 10 days following that last ejaculation. This is what probably accounts for reports of increased arousal levels as the prostate becomes full having replaced all the fluids lost from the prior ejaculation.
... does the regular practice help create more sensitivity?
IMHO, regular practice (but not necessarily daily) allows you to take advantage of the heightened arousal level that semen retention may induce. Regular practice also helps you fine tune your focus and awareness of your body's sensual output. This increased awareness may be interpreted as increased sensitivity but I think your body's response to stimulation stays pretty uniform so IMHO, regular practice doesn't necessarily increase prostate sensitivity. This may be impossible to know as we don't have tools to measure such phenomenon.
Good Vibes to You!
The answer to the question lies in your own body. Try every day if you have the time. Try every two days. Once a week even. Try 30 minute sessions, 2 hour sessions. Try at different levels of semen retention.
everyone is different. Some guys here swear by hours long sessions, some spend no more than 15-30 minutes. Some have their sessions exclusively in the pre-dawn hours, some have them anytime, some only at night. Some need several days of semen retention for a good session. Some need none.
So just see if there is a difference in different choices of session frequency and semen retention. Advice and ideas on this forum are to be read, thought over, and IF applied, then applied without expectations. Because we are all different. You can only listen to your own body to find out what works for you, and listening to your body will only expand your ability to understand it.
