It is not my intention to offend anyone, but I am just asking if most Aneros customers are gay men?
I am a married straight male and I purchased my Aneros for 2 reasons:
First, I have read and heard about prostate massages and their affects. For example the movie Road Trip when the guy who played Stifler in American Pie is in the sperm clinic and the nurse gives him a "anally induced ejaculation"... it is just something that I have always wondered about and heard that it can happen and is incredible.
And second because over the years I have spent hundreds of dollars on toys for my wife. Other than buying a self masturbator which I think would be stupid the Aneros appears to be the only sex toy available for men...
So, to the forum, are most customers gay men?
I would be interested in hearing about succesful Aneros experiences from straight men, so far for me it just feels like there is something stuck in my ass and like I have to go to the bathroom... I can't imagine anyone enjoys the way that feels but I don't know, maybe it is a sensation gay men enjoy...
I really don't think I can be more sincere, no disrespect intended, I am just asking...
Thanks.
What if they were but you enjoyed the sensation, would that make you gay?
Many are not gay. I am not. However all are open-minded, otherwise, they would not have been willing to experiment with an aneros. If sounds like you're open-minded enough to buy one. Now, use it and don't worry about what it means if you enjoy it.
I'm not gay but still like the feeling i get from the aneros products.
No super O yet but i'm getting close.
You could ask the same question why men masturbate, because it feels good or do they like the feeling of touching a penis.
I think a lot of members are straight but it really doesn't matter does it ?
If you don't feel comfortable putting the aneros in you probably won't progress in the journey to achieve these feelings.
I don't know what you have but should better start with the smaller aneros to get familiar with the sensations they give.
Hello phillysalesguy,
Welcome to the Aneros forum. 🙂
It is not my intention to offend anyone, but I am just asking if most Aneros customers are gay men?
According to the following pol, the majority here are straight.

Your question and implied concern is one that most straight guys go through when they start Aneros practice. I'm straight, and I went through it in the beginning. This is a false cultural belief/education you have to get past. And you will be much more free once you do. Liking anal play does not make you gay. Only when you want and desire sex with men does that make you gay or some other form of it e.g. - bi,curious.

It sounds like you have just started your Aneros journey. It will change. If you have not already done so, I highly recommend that you read the Aneros WIKI.
Aneros Main Page - Aneros Wiki
And also read, search, and participate in the forum as much as possible. And the blogs are a great way to document your progress.
For myself, I have yet to achieve super orgasms. I've been at this for three and a half years. So be patient, make no expectations, and practice regularly, as not every guy gets results within the first month. It took me a year and half of infrequent and intermittent Aneros sessions before I starting getting any pleasurable sensations from it. Now just imagine how much I could have cut that time down if I had practiced it regularly. At this point I get very pleasurable sessions, and just recently I believe I had a mini orgasm.
Also, there is a fair amount of terminology you will end up hearing here concerning Aneros usage. Referencing the Aneros WIKI glossary will help you out there.

There are also many married, Christian men here as well. Somewhere here I read that the vast majority of the posters/members here are straight, reflecting national demographics, and gay members are a small part of the forum. It does take a somewhat brave/bold sort to stick something up your butt to derive pleasure, but I believe many here were desperate to find relief from prostate problems, at least at first.

Very well said, Badger, and totally correct. Philly, I'm straight, Christian (if that matters, at all) and married for decades. Same with many, many others here. Aneros is NOT about gay/straight/bi or anything else. It's simply a path to a much higher level of self awareness and physical pleasure. Becoming a multiple orgasmic male is the most enlightening, thrilling and gratifying thing that has ever happened to me. I'm just sorry I was in my 60s before I became aware.
Not only do I derive indescribable pleasure from my Aneros toys, it has opened a whole new world of possibilities as to what the body and mind are capable of. Mind expansion is mental growth. There's a whole world of experiences, all of which fall inside the limits of ethical and moral responsibility, that can enhance marriage/partnership and bring both spiritual and physical growth.
Aneros has nothing to do with sex (unless you wish it to) for me. It's asexual, but powerfully erotic, sensually delicious and morally satisfying.
Bring yourself to a new reality. Develop a new sense of what is possible. It's absolutely mind boggling.

Hi phillysales guy and welcome !
You'll be fine here. Be sure to share your experiences with your wife.
I started this game early in 2009 having cum from an early background that was devoid of facts about the "in's and out's" of physical gay relationships. I am still wired as a monogamous "breeder" and didn't give up any part of my hetero sex life to gain a dry-orgasm capability. I do masturbate MUCH LESS than I did before I started here. As you'll find out by reading the forum, horniness is a quality that many guys hate to give up easily and we get very thoughtful before we scatter seed without purpose.
In late 2008, my wife and I were retooling our toy box during a great Oprah / Laura Berman Internet series on couples sexuality and improving the quality of female g-spot orgasm in women (my batting average on helping my mate with other than simple clitoral orgasm hadn't been all that great -- g-spot wise, we'd have only a few home-runs a year). Oprah and Berman showed off some cool sex toys for gals and discussed g-spot masturbation. Someone mentioned that the g-spot vibe also worked for men on the prostate. My wife bought me one. The vibe was overpowering and that led me to a local sex store who sold us a Helix. We adopted it as a foreplay tool. I made the move to the dry-Orgasm journey a couple of months later and made it to spiritual orgasm country on the first of March, 2010. Years from now, you'll remember your children's birthdays and the date you first Super-Oed. After those dates the lessor priorities like your anniversary and wife's birthday will fall into place.
About the gay side. Don't sweat where you are on the gay-straight continuium or what someone else's orientation might be. As Love_is skillfully pointed out, our common denominator is lust for dry Orgasm and whether gay or straight we get there pretty much the same way.
For most of my sexually mature life my 'second glances' at other humans have been about 80% at females and 20% at guys. Until starting the Aneros experience I'd always discarded those "errors" in instant judgement. Now I understand that these are normal. My wife and I joke about my homo-phobia having melted away but her "bi-phobia" runs rampant. Being monogamous is sort of like driving down the road and seeing a Ferrari or Masserati. I look but don't touch. I don't go into Ferrari dealerships. I don't hit on either females or males. Part of my marriage vows -- made it over 40 years so far and have no intentions of giving up now on a marvelous life-long experience.
You may experience times when you fanticize that the expensive plastic rod in your ass of plastic is flesh. You may cary that fantasy over into a dream or nightmare. Happens, probably to more guys than it's admitted even here. So, have fun, enjoy, relax, breathe etc.
You'll find that mature gays and bis are usually more knowledgeable and matter-of-fact about the nuts and bolts of male sexuality than most str-8s. You may find that you get more accurate information and a broader spectrum of second-hand experiences from gays than str-8s. Lean on them for info---you'll profit. You may also be surprised when you run into a gay gent who's in a strong, loving relationship that doesn't include penetrative sex. Aneros use can cause those guys more emotions than we str-8 can imagine. That situation is very illustrative that anal play doesn't define the man's sexual orientation.
We all cherish our anonymity and respect that desire of our brothers in this fraternity.
Enjoy. "rumel," who's a great resource for what's written and what's not will contact you as a new comer and point you to a great range of resources.
There's a misconception among straight people that all gay men engage in anal sex. In fact, the truth is, surveys have shown a very low percentage of gay men practice anal-penile penetration. The Aneros is no where near the size or thickness of an average erect penis. Most are much smaller than male dildos. So, putting an Aneros in you doesn't come close to approximating receptive male on male anal sex. Male anal pleasure has been experienced by straight men for thousands of years. When I was a teen working with older guys, they would tell me tales of service men in Japan going to Geisha's and the Geisha would insert a string of pearls in a mans rectum and as he was cumming, slowly pull them out to create a sensational orgasm. I often incorporated anal stimulation of some kind when I masturbated, as I'm sure other guys have here and my wife enjoys giving me this pleasure with her finger. The anus, rectum, prostate, perineum complex is a part of your body intricately connected in the sexual pleasure and orgasmic response cycle, there are tons of nerve endings, all this area feel good when gently stroked and this brings a whole new dimension of pleasure to your sexual experience. I wouldn't worry. If you like women, opening yourself to this won't make you gay any more than going into McDonalds will make you a hamburger. Relax and enjoy.
Hi phillysalesguy-
I am straight. I have gotten more open to new experiences as I have gotten older. Like most people on this forum I was looking for sex toys that my girlfriend and I could enjoy together. This brought me to the aneros. I was skeptical at first, but the mechanics of it made sense. Plus the forum was the best selling tool, real life experiences of success with the aneros. I HAD to try it. The first couple of months I had the same experience as you, it was nothing special. But the more I read in the forum the more I learned, till I thought I finally understood how it worked. But I could still not get anywhere. I put it away for a while and came back to it now and again. Two years later I finally had success (you can read the story from the link in my signature).
My life has completely changed. This is like Sex 2.0. Last night I had an orgasm contest with my girlfriend and I WON! I had twice as many as she had. Life is SWEET! 🙂

Hi phillysalesguy,
Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers. There is a wealth of information to be obtained on this website. Hopefully, you will be able to avail yourself of this knowledge by tapping these resources.
The 'Road Trip' movie did spur many men to begin their investigation of this activity known as prostate massage. Yes, it is real; yes, you can experience an anal orgasm and ejaculation from the technique but there is even more...
While prostate massagers are not the only sex toys available to men (cock rings, testicle cuffs, sounds, etc.) they are perhaps the most effective for delivering pleasure. Considering you've already invested many dollar$ in your wife's pleasure, investing a few dollars for yourself seems only fair to me.
As the previous posters have asserted, the majority of members on this Forum have identified themselves as straight males, but we are a mixed group of individuals which happen to include bi-sexual males, gays, transgendered men and also some female members. All are equally welcome to share their knowledge and experiences here in a unique Forum dedicated to helping each individual optimize his or her experience with Aneros products (BTW, did you know the Peridise is a unisex model?)
I invite you to read some of the threads in the Testimonials Forum and the threads contained in the Sticky: My First Super Orgasm... for successful experiences by straight, bi and gay men (I don't think any women have posted there...yet).
IMHO, the best resource available here is the Aneros WIKI. e.g. In response to your initial posting, - some mythology concerning Aneros use, from the Aneros WIKI -
" Homophobia
Human beings are creatures with enormous curiosity, especially things of a sexual nature, both male and female. Interest in knowledge of all things sexually related is perfectly natural and external devices do not dictate those thought processes.
* Use of the Aneros prostate massager will have no effect on your sexual gender identification. If you are heterosexual, bi-sexual or homosexual in orientation that is who you are! The Aneros will not change your orientation.
* Your sexual orientation will have no effect on your ability to experience the intense pleasure states the Aneros can induce. Your Aneros massager is an equal opportunity device, it doesn't matter what your race, creed, religion or sexual orientation is, every man gets the same access to the Super-O, regardless of his sexual preferences."
You can rest assured that Aneros use will NOT turn a straight man bi or gay. However, the level of emotional intensity attained during a Super-O may reveal to you aspects of your own personality that you may have been declining to acknowledge previously. This could include a level of interest in sexuality at variance to your normal way of thinking. You need to remember you are the generator of your thoughts, an inanimate object, such as the Aneros, is NOT the source or reason for those thoughts.
It is not unusual for new users to feel[COLOR="Green"] "...like there is something stuck in my ass and like I have to go to the bathroom..." because you have not yet 'awakened' your prostate.
P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started.
in case you have not gotten the picture yet Philly, you dont HAVE TO BE gay or straight or anything for that matter, you just HAVE TO HAVE OPEN MIND and an anus... Im definitely gay, but the only thing i've allowed inside me so far is my helix... have fun and dont stress out, i say this to you as you put it: respectfully
