So do you get better results from Aneros syn models or the more rigid models?

There's not much difference IMO. Though I wouldn't buy a Syn model again, because they generally hold the stink of ass, are harder to wash, and the p-tab drifts out of its proper position over time. They do have a softer feel, and that's nice... but the cons outweigh the pros for me.

I prefer the syn. For 30+ min they stay comfortable even when they start drying out. The only Trident I have is the MGX and I have to take it out after 30 mins. I can go about an hour with the SYN version. The MGX is my least favorite tho that may be the problem(It makes my ass itch). I have a nasty habit of seeing how long I can edge full staff. Yes all my silicone toys do stink so I try to avoid sniffing them unless I am doing something kinky... I have LubeLife Toy cleaner and it has a pretty strong fragrance to it. Helps some but not enough.

I don't know if silicone lube can be used on the Tridents but that may help with the drying problem.

I agree with Clenchy.  Besides the odor, after a couple of weeks the of non-use the syn  toys get a white 'frost' from the coconut oil I use for lube,  no matter how well I wash them.  My wife's silicone toys also do this.

You can use any and all types of lube with Non syn models.

Silicone lube and some oils, petroleum oil (Vaseline)...ETC  can NOT be used with the syn models.

Both coconut oil and silicone lubes outlast my longest sessions, without having to refresh the lube.

I have both syn and non- syn Helix's . As for for comfort I can not feel the difference.  If anything, the harder non-syn 'tickles' my prostate more intensely.

Just sharing my opinion and experiences.

Cheers

I prefer the silicone models myself, almost to the exclusion of all others.  Honestly I don't know what to think of the ABS plastic toys, my Progasm JR. model developed a crack in it somehow, and now I'm leery of using it.  So something tells me they're more susceptible to taking hits.  Comfort-wise, I would also agree that the silicone models do tend to be better for longer.  I've even slept with my Helix Syn inserted.

I prefer the Syn models for comfort. Have used Anal Glide along with coconut oil and have not had any residual white on any but I always wash them thoroughly with hot soapy water after each session. Also enjoy my Progasm and Jr but if you do a lot of strong contractions can be painful after while - moderation is a must!

Amazed at the responses.

The syns are weak, never enough pressure and they are generally just not as good as the mainline plastic ones.

It's fascinating how much the lube quality can affect a persons experience. One can dislike certain models, meanwhile the blame should be on the lube he uses.

I don't have the problems with my syn models you've mentioned. It's all because of the lube I use: it's Natural jelly. I use food grade almond oil, unrefined shea butter and beeswax to make it.

* frosty effect: as p38 wrote, coconut oil is the culprit. Almond oil doesn't have this effect on silicone.

* stinky odour: Natural jelly creates a protective layer on the silicone, preventing anything else to be absorbed by the material. My silicone models don't have any bad odour. On the contrary, they have a quite likeable mild sweet scent of honey. I'ts not too strong, I can only notice this when I lift them close to my nose. I've stopped doing any douching before sessions since I use Natural jelly, it repells anything from the toy.

* drying out: (much) more than 4 hours hours. Excessively long sessions aren't a problem for it. Without lube reapplication! I bet they can last at least half a day, if not more. I can notice the shiny effect of Natural jelly on the ***** when I first empty my bowels after a session, 12-24 hours later.

* +1 In my opinion it is safe to use it with silicone. I've used Natural jelly on my Eupho Syn Trident about 20 times up until now, and I don't see any degradation on it, caused by the lube. I think it is safe to use plant based oils like almond oil with syn.

* +2 doesn't leak, doesn't stain

* +3 serves as a skin care inside and outside, treats hemorrhoids

* +4 doesn't irritate my bowels

I like both the plastic and silicone models, but I prefer the silicone more in general. With Natural Jelly I can avoid all the "weaknesses" the syn models would have otherwise.

I'm grateful for whomever shared the original Natural jelly recipie on this forum. I've modified it, and I use two recipies:

* 35 grams almond oil, 10g shea, 10g beeswax for the room temperature cream I apply by hand on the toy and sphincter

* 70g/10g/10g for the frozen suppositores. I insert a 4ml big knob before a session. The higher oil content results in a runnier cream, which dissolves easier when melted inside, doesn't stay in a knob shape.

With Natural jelly, the only deciding factor what remains to choose between syn and plastic is the hardness of the material. How hard the arms press against the perineum, and the head against the prostate.

Even though all models have been great it is the Syn V that drove it to whole new level for me. It has been good enough where i bought more and gifted it to my straight and gay friends who have never tried prostate toys and they couldn't think me enough. They are trying other models now but the Vibration or regular use is a nice option.
