The prostate "itch"

I was reading through some of the super-o sticky treads for inspiration, and came across a mention of the prostate itch. And it reminded me of the Wiki milestones list...
Sense that the Aneros is satisfying a special prostate "itch"

I'd never thought much about what this meant, until I connected it with the forum post and started taking the description literally.

And so going into my session later, I took that idea as my mission, to identify the itch as a physical itch (and scratch), rather than some abstract manifestation of desire. I have to say the visualisation helped a hell of a lot in narrowing my focus and riding sensations in that area.

What I found heightened in that session was something I've experienced before - recurring gentle sharp sensations, almost like a little pinch, slightly uncomfortable but not painful, and a little satisfying.

I'd like to know what others make of the prostate itch.

Hi guys,

This "itch" has been discussed earlier on the Forum in these threads:

https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/15289/an-itch-that-i-cant-seem-to-scratch/p1

https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/7984/overstimulationitch-next-daycant-make-it-stop-feeling-good/p1

https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/10543/trying-to-satisfy-the-itch/p1

And how about this one?:

https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/14161/aneros-hungry/p1

The next thread is very informative:

Hope these links help us better understand the "itch" engendered by the Aneros! It could be physical or mental. I certainly have a physical prostate "itch" which has produced in me a hunger and horniness for the Aneros which keep me persevering at my Aneros sessions and have fun and pleasure at the same time! 😉

@BigGlansDC

Some of those threads aren't what I'm talking about (eg. the "jock itch" thread). Other threads still talk about the itch as an abstract desire. What I'm wondering about here is literally the physical sensation of itch and scratching an itch, like an itch on your arm.
I can relate to the aftershocks and being aneros-horny, but I don't consider it the same thing. I used to, but I'm looking at the more literal interpretation.

interesting observation Clenchy

Itch response is analogous to pain response "itch has many similarities to pain, and while both are unpleasant sensory experiences, their behavioral response patterns are different. Pain creates a withdrawal reflex, while itch leads to a scratch reflex."*

"Neurogenic itch, which is itch induced centrally but with no neural damage, is mostly associated with increased accumulation of exogenous opioids and possibly synthetic opioids."*

I've not associated prostate awareness with a itch but will think about it next time I ride. The association with pain and pleasure is obvious. If prostate itchiness produces a scratch reflex centrally and releases opioids in responce, that would be another way to think about and visualize what's going on inside.

I've not been very aware of internal processes and sensations until I started with aneros and meditation. That in itself is a new world for me.

This is the post (from the 'My first super orgasm' thread) that got me wondering...

This time though, there were some new sensations that I had never felt before. This sensation was that "itch" that you can't scratch on the prostate... I never really knew what that meant until I felt it, so if you don't understand, don't worry, you will. To me, it felt more like a pinpoint something-or-other on my prostate that the Helix was rubbing against and it came with an interesting "tingle"....

I know the word "itch" is used a lot around here, but the more I see it used, the more I question if we're all talking about the same thing.

The visualisation I was going for in my session was itch with immediate scratch relief. Kind of like when you have a hive, and you know you shouldn't be scratching it so much, but it feels too good to stop.
Which does go against what I thought before, where you shouldn't try to shape the pleasure, but get out of its way and take it as it comes. I don't know really, it just struck me as interesting.

I agree with @MostInteresting1...... LOL. I actually get an itch! Not like desire, an actual itch.

An itchy Prostate is fun. Mine is always there, and ready to play. Give it a little attention and my itch becomes either an orgasm or a p-wave...sooo nice!

These days, I'm 90% Anerosless with my sessions, and the other 10% is an occasional booster shot using my Eupho that accents my awesome sessions!

What a beautiful place to be!

I don't think I've can say that I have ever noticed an itch. I would describe my sessions as successful, but would like to hear about some descriptions of how this physical itch is cultivated. This itch may be what a lot of us are missing on the road to the Super O. Is it developed by pressure while riding? Fast movement of the Aneros? Hip movements? Or does it just come on by itself?

I think my itch resulted from frequent aneros use...and I mean like daily! My Prostate has become so awakened that immediately upon laying down on my bed, the p-waves start, and my Prostate starts getting active. It's quite amazing! It feels like a superpower that I've acquired and I can activate whenever I want! So cool!

My girlfriend can just play with my nipples, earlobes, or bellybutton and I'll have an aless in less than 5 minutes. They are nice, but much more satisfying with an aneros inserted...
