So maybe some of you have heard about this. This hot topic began at Thunder's Place, wherein user Enigmatize reported an exciting concoction of supplements that can seemingly bolster one's load on sexual ooze. Naturally, the community heated up in excitement on seeing if this tall-tale had some substance to it. The results? Yes, no. 50/50! I do recall lecithin having an effect on my cum load, making it watery and overall more.

But my point is that among the supplements he cites having an actual effect is Pygeum: a form of bark originating from Africa that is primarily used to assist in prostate health. After five weeks, he would "leak pre-cum like a damn faucet."
These pills had the most amount of mixed reception in terms of their actual, if any, effect. Some users reported startling change within a few weeks, and others with absolutely nothing after a month. There wasn't a whole lot of wiggle-room on the type of Pygeum, since these products are typically split into either extract or pure-bark — 100mg and 500mg respectively. There is, naturally, the daily in-take that varies. It's typically two a day.

I'm amongst those who haven't had an effect with the supplements, but perhaps there are those here who had secretly tried it as well?
And while I did make this topic to specifically talk about this brand, don't see this as an advertisement for the supplement. Again, as the title implies, the effect these have is in the air. Genetics? Legitimate? Placebo? The mystery is real.

Hey, so I read something similar to this topic on pegym about a month back. One of the posts was the same as that original post on thunder. Since I love the idea of producing tons of precum, I thought id try it out. The vitamin shoppe near me sold combo pygeum extract, 125mg, and saw palmetto, 160 mg, (this is another prostate vitamin posters on pegym were mentioning) and I take two pills a day. Prior to pygeum, I'd get a little pre dribble after edging for a while, maybe 15-20 min. After a few days I started leaking about 5 min after getting aroused. Not a faucet or anything, but definitely more precum drops than before and sooner than before, too. Also, it happens without touching my cock now. I'm a happy customer.
The caveat: I started practicing kegels just before this time, and getting mildly better a-less as a result, so I honestly can't say if it was just the pygeum. I like the feeling of pre leaking, so I've continued taking it and I haven't seen any negative side effects. I'd say try it if you're interested and healthy.

Having looked at this over many years I've come to the conclusion that producing more ejaculate and pre-ejaculate is a matter of three factors: the condition of your pump, consistency of the fluid and the level of one’s arousal.

The prostate is largely responsible for pumping semen out of the penis, but PC muscle contraction plays important role too. There is no question that good PC muscle tone produces stronger, more productive ejaculations (with all other factors being equal). Good PC tone is responsible for stronger contractions which can also have an influence on the action of the Cowper's glands, the source of pre-cum.

With respect to semen, there are a variety of factors that come into play. First and foremost is proper hydration. Yes, as simple as it seems drinking lots of water, (not just before you ejaculate, but on a consistent basis) can have a positive impact on your production of seminal vesicle, prostate and Cowper's fluids. Conversely, drinking large amounts of alcohol can cause dehydration which can effect volume adversely. Consistency of semen can also be a factor. Thicker semen flows more slowly and encounters more resistance as it travels out of the body. Again, water intake appears to help determine thinner or thicker secretions.

While there is little in the way of hard evidence to support the use of supplements, some sources have suggested the use of Horny Goat Weed, Pygeum, Ginseng Yohimbe bark, and Lecithin. In addition to these there are the amino acids Arginine, Carnitine Lysine, the mineral Zinc (with folic acid) and Vitamins C and E that have been mentioned in this regard. This latter group of supplements are generally recognized for greater sperm production, but since sperm constitutes a mere 5% of ejaculate, they are of lesser importance for those who are after greater volume.

On a personal note I have been taking a prostate supplement for over 10 years that includes Quercetin, Bromelain, Papain and Bee Pollen extract and found that it too effects the consistency of my ejaculate.

My sense is that good seminal output is what happens when a healthy person encounters a high degree of arousal. Exercising (the body in general and the PC muscle specifically), having good nutrition and water intake and building and maintaining arousal prior to ejaculation are the keys to large amounts of precum and ejaculate. While some of these supplements might help promote healthy function, they are no substitute for having these basic elements together.

Cheers,

BF Mayfield
