Newbie here, first post.  I will spare you the details for now but I have been doing Kegels for at least 17 years.  I have never used them for anything other than strengthening my PC muscles until my first Aneros product arrived last week.  Let's just say that after reading a little in the forums I have been able to turn those 17 years of Kegel exercises into the most amazing experiences I have had by myself, both with my Aneros and Aless.  Man have I been missing out.  Holy cow, do your Kegels.

@somebodyelse, welcome to Aneros Forum! I began doing Kegel Exercises in October/November 2011, a good six months before I my Aneros journey in early June 2012 with the original Aneros Syn. I kept doing those exercises both in Aless and within my Aneros sessions since then. In fact, Aneros Directions for Use recommend that you do them so that you can experience a "new type of orgasm." After four years or so of working with Aneros, in mid September 2016, I achieved my breakthroughs with Super-O's and MMO's. The Kegels built the framework for those breakthroughs. Since then, I can achieve Super-O's and MMO's on demand in Aless, mostly in bed at night, if I so choose.

I encourage you to blog about your Aneros and Aless experiences with the Kegels in the Aneros blog section.

This thread is incomplete without the mention of reverse kegels. They make you last longer in bed.

While regular kegel exercises can help - for example I can squeeze them tight when I'm about to cum and stop an ejaculation, I find holding them at full power exhausting. Worse, if you're conditioned to squeeze the muscle when fucking / masturbating, it's like pressing the gas pedal on the road to ejaculation. It's because a harder dick feels more stimulation.

Reverse kegels are actually very simple to do:

1. Empty your bladder. Go to the toilet and squeeze absolutely every single drop of urine you can.

2. Go somewhere else. Use your muscles as if you wanted to pee and push everything out. Hold it like that.

3. (Optional) start jacking off.

You should find that you can masturbate much longer than usual. You're softer than with a regular kegel contraction, but you WILL get harder over time with more arousal, and I find I have more safety margin to work with.

I think point 3 - actually masturbating - is helpful because otherwise it's like practicing kung fu katas instead of sparring with a partner. You can't fully train a martial art without getting punched and kicked. Similarly, you can't really learn to last longer without making the "last longer" a real part of your exercise. You will find that you don't even need to relax the muscle very hard.

The bottom line (for lasting longer): reverse kegels most of the time, regular kegels as the last resort, when you can't stop yourself.

@airbag, I thank you for explaining the difference between regular kegel exercises and reverse kegels. Thank you also profusely on how to perform reverse Kegels and how they relate to jacking off. I hope to explore all this more later on today! 🙂

@airbag

Thanks bro for the best description of how to do reverse kegels I have ever read.

I tried as you describe to do them today staring totally flaccid and like @caveofmystery says alternating between penis controlled muscles of the groin and anal controlled muscles of the anal area.

I added nipple play to massaging my sulcus and frenulum area because at my age nothing happens arousally for me without my nipples.  Long story short, the orgasmic feelings and the P waves generated prostate wise and penis wise were heavenly.  The anal arousal and feelings were beyond anything I had ever felt with a warm glow in my anal area and involuntary contractions produced in both area as I focused on that area.  I have never gotten so aroused so quickly.

I felt like I was 17 again and quickly had a ruined orgasm in no time.  Lots of prostatic fluid, seminal fluid at the time of the ruined orgasm (90% hard - - the ruined orgasm happened so quickly) and lots of precum flowing from my flaccid after the ruined orgasm. No refractory period.  All that at 4 years past 70.

I must find a way to slow this all down someway.  I am open to suggestions and comments, but I thank you for what i feel is a new chapter in my sexuality and a new level of bliss and p waves that flowed with genital reverse kegels to my abs, my sternum, my soft palate and my brain and also my breast/chest muscles in a fashion I had never experienced so fast and so orgasmically profound before.

Thanks yet a second time, @airbag

Good luck @bigglansdc.  We are probably going to hear a nation wide groan coming from the D C area as accomplished as you are with nipple play and ALESS.

@airbag.  I read your post over again.  You have all the elements in your short words to us to develop this and slow high arousal down.

I am amazed at how much more arousing reverse kegels are than regular kegels. Having been on these forums a long time, I feel totally dumb in missing their benefit to arousal and the microcosmic orbit scenario.  Do you other guys find reverse kegels more arousing also?

@airbag.  With aneros play (and yes, sex will be another new world of discovery with reverse kegels) do you find reverse kegels work as well in your aneros play and sex with your wife? What I am asking is if reverse kegels are better than regular kegels for arousal and pleasure during aneros play and sex with your sweetie.

I am finding reverse kegels to work better with the meditative type nipple-dick edging i have come to love relaxedly letting the feelings of pleasure and arousal overtake me slowly and letting those good  feelings build exponentially while I relax, focus and enjoy the pleasure and move toward the PONR and stop and let the waves flow over me however they want to flow over me.

Thanks yet a third time @airbag.  Just wondering now your experiences with the aneros and sex while practicing reverse kegels.

Like @turnrow and @bigglansdc, nipple play is crucial in all my sessions and way beyond.  During my usual Aless sessions, nipple play automatically engages my 3 main floor muscles to the point where I have to consciously relax them (release the clenching) or consciously alternate from one to the other.

After reading this very interesting and informative thread, I used the reverse Kegel concept in this morning's Aless session.  The results were very interesting to say the least.  This time, while using reverse Kegels along nip stimulation, my auto-clenching of the main muscles was reduced to a minimum.   However, interestingly enough, a form of tug-of-war took place but from a much different dimension than my usual version.  In addition, my dick went from flaccid to semi-erect and back to flaccid again several times,  something that never happens.

This resulted in one of my best Aless session in a long time if not ever.

Thank you for the thread @airbag.

If we're gonna talk kung-fu and reverse kegels. I'm gonna risk invoking the spirit of the simile toting sensei.

So today a quicky about Reverse Kegels. I get the feeling that they are not fully understood, and here is why.

When the PC is explained for newbies it’s often done with the “hold-pee”-technique. Reverse Kegels in contrast are taught with “bear-down” like when you have a bowel-movement. So the two apparently work in opposite directions. Many seem to think, that it’s the very same muscles at work, as if they can pull and push. Like pistons in a digger. But that’s not how muscles work, they can only pull. That’s why they alway come in pairs at hinge joints in our body (like the knee or elbow) - one flexor and one extensor (and even more at ball joints like the hips and shoulders).

The reverse kegel has to be some different muscle, so which one is it? It’s the midriff, which isn’t even located in the pelvis. So in my book, the term reverse kegel is an unlucky choice.

How does it work? The midriff is our main breathing muscle (beside the ones in the ribcage). It separates the upper and the lower torso and pulls caudal to the ground. Since it seals of both parts of your inner torso, it creates a vacuum in the lungs (hence the airflow in) and a compression of your lower intestines. That’s why your belly expands and it feels like you were breathing into it literally. You are not, your are just compressing everything in your lower belly. And that’s the trick already. By breathing in, you put pressure on the delicate tissue we are working with.

Now imagine yourself on the toilet with mild constipation and bearing down - what’s actually happening? You will most likely take a deep breath and hold it while flexing your abs. By taking a deep breath in first you compress the lower cavity as much as possible. By holding your breath you lock the midriff in position, hence keeping the pressure up. If you would just inhale your belly expands in all directions, so you instinctively flex the abs to direct the pressure further down. And that’s it: a lot of inner pressure that pushes on your pelvic floor and helps pushing stuff out.

Application:

Conscious deep breathing is often emphasised here in the forum and for a good reason. Every deep breath is like a Mini-Reverse-Kegel, that stimulates the prostate from above. It also highly stimulates the belly nerves which is the key mechanism for Jack Johnstons Key-Sound-Protocol (imo, the key sound is 3/4 for getting the breathing and abs-flex right and just 1/4 a stimulus on it's own).

So what I like to do at times is a moaning-deep-breath-out-reverse-kegel. In the right mood, this can trigger an intense pleasure wave. The practical thing about this is, that you don't have to wait for a spontaneous p-wave, but trigger the waves with your breath when you feel like it. You shouldn't use every breath but every 2nd-4th.

You can listen in, how every p-wave subsides and sets the buildup for the next. Good visualizations for that are a swing or a surge. Picture when you feel like some kind of eddy water pulling back because there is a new wave coming in or the highest point on a swing when you feel weightless and the splitsecond when the pull begins. This is the time to start a new breath-out-reverse-kegel, which will swing higher than the last one (and may give you the same belly tingles but in a very sexual way). This may make itself independent quite quickly and you can just give in to what your body does to you.

Cheers, @Unfug

Thanks @Kazama and @Unfug:

Working the diaphram in breathing is a good tool for reverse kegels.

However in one sentence, @airbag with his suggestion for the reverse kegel as in pushing out the last drop of pee/urine, has taken my arousal to the next level quickly and in a manner unknown to me in reverse kegels.

Today I again tried his method and got the microcosmic orbit going in my coccyx and up my spine as well as the microcosmic orbit going simultaneously up my abs to my sternum, soft palate and brain.

What a joy to be having those sensations all deriving from a simple sentence setting forth the reverse kegel as pushing out the last drop of urine.  More, More, More from you @airbag.  You are so correct in stating that the reverse kegel you describe need not be done if full force, but even the mild  clenching as you describe is a joy to get P waves and arousal going.

Hats off to simple techniques that work.

Hahaa. Can't argue with results. I'm happy for you.

Don't short change yourself either. It sounds like this technique was the extra spark you needed to shoot off into orbit after years of exploring and experimenting. A just reward 😉

@the_bishop Training Apps like Stamena for iOS describe doing a reverse kegel by "applying internal pressure to the back of your penis". This muscle can be found by slightly flexing the muscle used in passing gas, then exhaling heavily and trying to recenter that pressure from the abs/ass and into your prostate and penis.

It can be tricky and weird to figure out the first few times, let alone receive pleasure from it at first. I think I just started receiving orgasms leading to Super-Os from flexing that muscle while mixing in some PC muscle flutterings a light base contractions.

To me, it kind of feels like when I do a reverse kegel, things are opened up more. I feel like my precum is starting to well up within me and very slowly pour out. Things can become really intense if I keep my focus on that and work with the contractions like it's a slow moving tidal wave.

I'll add that I mentioned something like this sensation thinking it might be prostatic nerves connected around the urethra or something in a thread called The Sensation of Peeing in a Session?, however the internal pressure of the reverse kegel could very well draw attention to other parts of your anatomy depending on where you're wired mentally or your anatomy.
