I see tabtra mentioned alot around the forums and I've never taken much note of it. I'm kind of curious now so I thought I would just go ahead and ask; what is Tantra and am I practicing it unawares during my aneros sessions?

Of course you do.

Tantra is THE way to take influence in your physical and mental energy. Re-wiring describes reactivating paths between your mind and different centres of energy in your body. Activating your gland with Aneros tools is only one of many steps on this way. As there are a lot of different tenets it's quite difficult to get an overview.

The more I was glad to receive a book tip (@Unfug, I love you for that) about a version of Tantra for the western society of today, "Urban Tantra - Sacred Sex for the Twenty-First Century" by Barbara Carrellas, certainly worth a multiple of the 14 bucks she charges for the kindle edition.

Best vibes!

@Tatornator , yeah - grab a copy of this book asap. It's easily the best one I've found so far on this topic (and I've read a lot of sex-books). It's beginner friendly an spot on.

Most other books either hide behind esoteric gibberish (Mantak Chia - I'm looking at you) or are full of cliché-trivia (like: play with whipped cream in bed or give a bj with a menthol candy / ice cube / hot sauce / sandpaper... - yeah thx, but no thx...).

The worst ones are the books, which try to teach the ejaculation control method via full force PC-clenching. I'll bet my right arm, most of these authors never mastered this technique themselves and only repeat hearsay. All the wisdom they sell is: do kegels, clench PC when cuming. And then they add another 100 pages of empty phrases to cover up their shallow knowledge. Ufff.. sry for the rant, I guess I spend too much lifetime on bad sex-books... 🙁

Cheers, Unfug

You say I should read the book, but I don't know why I should read the book or what benefits I would gain. I must admit, I am 100% ignorant the subject. Thanks for all the replies guys!

Uh... because it gives the answer to your initial question what Tantra actually is (or what it can be). Better than anyone in the forum could explain with two sentences.

See, the aneros is just the tip of the iceberg. Ignoring Tantra while expecting anerosing to work is like swimming w/o water.

Cheers, Unfug

@Tatornator, I prefer swimming in a pool with water. 😎

My benefit? :rolleyes:

Thus this morning (GMT+1) I had a tremendeous 2-hours-aless-session after my first try of the "clench and hold technique1" described in the book we talk about. Never before I felt that energized. 🙂 (1It's about clenching the whole body including the pc-muscle and other abdominal muscles for some seconds and has nothing to do with the "full force PC-clenching" that get @Unfug's heckles up.)

@Unfug, I love your purring too! 😀

Life is wonderful!

@Tatornator Tantra? Tantra to Orgasm? Tatornator! 😮 😎 :p 😉

Today I again tried the clench and hold technique that I mentioned above.
After those exercises it's recommended to just be. Without expectations. That's what happened this time:

Lying on my couch my right arm was leaning against the backrest and my right hand was dangling above my forehead when the position of the 2ndchakra (the 3rd eye chakra) between my eyebrows, as for then right under my dangling hand, crossed my mind. As I focused on that I opened my hand upwards about two inches away from my head. Despite the distance I could feel the warmth of the energy pulsing there. The hand helped like a mirror to connect the vibes of the 2nd to the 1st chakra and my mind's eye saw violet energy clouds uprising and dissolving. The energy was coming back meandering like green Northern Lights and enclosing my whole body. I felt like on cloud nine nursed by waves of pure bliss.

After minutes of heavenly levitating I moved my hand down to the lower chakras, resting at each spot for several moments until I finally cupped my perineum where the 7th/base/root chakra is situated. After some seconds Kundalini arose and floated my being with strong energy waves. The upcoming SuperO was tremendous. With half to very strong precum leaking erections and countless involuntaries MMOs were following for at least twenty minutes.

I never would have expected such a great benefit from my newfound knowledge about Tantra techniques.

May your energy be with you!

Good thread which interests me. I got the "Urban Tantra" on my Kindle now and so far a good read. Funny, I had the Chia book for 10+ years sitting on a shelf, and never read. Was a gift and only kept because of that. I may give it a whirl. Any other suggested resources? Or, too many!? Thanks guys

try the book energy orgasm by ron james , this is a non forced practice , a water path rather than a fire path , I have had some beautiful sessions with this.

I tend to agree with @shyzen's approach. While, in dodging the inner depths of Hindu, we may be considered selfish and superficial by 'true masters' I tend toward avoiding the "Grasshopper role" and applying most of what I study to my sexual edging practices.

When I drift away from the underlying basics, my foreplay suffers from P.E. and my sessions frequently terminate with an unintended HFWO.

I feel that Mantak Chia is in the business of selling books (through a practice of cross-referencing to his own works) but he provided me some English language labels and mappings from esoteric, chakra-centered terminology to body parts and organs that I understood.

I'd suggest not buying more than one or two of his books. I found his, "The Inner Smile" a simplistic approach to one's body and mental moods. I found the 'microcosmic orbit' series descriptive of both solo and couples practices that have transferability to Aneros sessions when imprinted on one's own fantasies and porn preferences.

Chia's books are found in many Public Libraries so that's a good place to start.

If you desire break from the sexual energy aspects of Tantra, consider exploration of Tai Chi, Yoga and QiGong.

If anyone is asking for the "water path" out of this bunch I would suggest QiGong. You don't need any special clothes, you don't need a Yoga mat, to me it was easy to learn and to transfer into my daily morning routine.

Good vibes!

I think you are mistaken by what is meant as a water path , this is a term to describe a non forced practice and one of surrender as opposed to, say hindu practices that are generally a fire path based on forced techniques such as body locks, breath retention and forcefull breath exercises like breath of fire. This term can also mean from the head down rather than the the spine up to the head but yes , qigong is a great practice if you find an authentic one that can improve energetic orgasm to a high level although sexual practices can be frowned upon in traditional lineage.
Chia's sexual practices have damaged a lot of people and this is again what I refer to as a fire practice as he teaches that god awful practice of blocking your ejaculation by force which should NEVER be done ! He was even warned that he should not be releasing such harmful material but went ahead anyway.
