Hi Flinch ,

Welcome to the Aneros Forums, your best source of information for learning about the multiple benefits and joys of using the Aneros prostate massagers.

There are a number of factors that affect each Aneros owners usage. Since our individual circumstances can vary quite broadly, it is impossible to make blanket statements which will cover all individuals. The very nature of your query is subject to various discussions. What constitutes "...unhealthy..." to you? What constitutes "...too long..."? I presume your word "..rec..." refers to your rectum.

There are many people outside this community who feel introducing any device into one's rectum to be alien and unhealthy and there are many within this community who feel use of these prostate massagers to be a healthy prophylaxis against a number of common prostate conditions. Where in this range do you wish to put yourself?.

In terms of duration, of the Aneros users in this community, there are some who ride their devices all night long and some who think 15-30 minutes is about right - please see the user Poll How long is just right to ride your Aneros?. My own Anerosessions usually last 1-2 hours so I think that is about right for me, you may find as your experience level changes, the length of a typical session for you may increase or decrease.

In terms of frequency, this membership feels that from once to more than five times a week is OK - please see the user Polls How much is too much? & Frequency of Use. Some members advocate more frequent use because they feel it hastens the 'rewiring' process, others (such as myself ) favor a period of rest between Anerosessions of a minimum of 1-2 days. IMHO, this allows for the body and psyche to assimilate the experience and thus aid the 'rewiring' process. There are no real 'rules' to follow in this regard, obviously if you develop any soreness or painful conditions as a result of your Anerosessions then you should wait as long as necessary for the situation to heal itself before embarking on another usage session.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started.
