I've been using prostate massagers for roughly an year now. I've used them fairly regularly with a few short breaks.

I got a few dry Os in my 1st month. Months 2-8 barely had any feelings. On my 9th month, I finally got a dry O again. Starting on my 9th month, I have been cycling between "on" and "off" days. Usually, there are 1-3 consecutive days every 2-4 weeks where I have dry Os ("on" days), and the rest of the days I feel mildly pleasurable or weird sensations ("off" days). Also, perhaps coincidentally, on my 9th month I noticed that if I masturbated normally, I had significantly decreased ejaculation force and semen would merely leak out rather than shoot out as it had before. I am young and I have not been using excessive force on my prostate, so I do not think there would be an underlying medical issue.

On my "off" days, I don't feel pleasurable sensations (only weird ones or none at all) and my normal ejaculatory orgasms also don't feel pleasurable. The intensity of my normal orgasm's feeling is roughly the same, but the sensation feels weird instead of pleasurable. In addition, on my "on" days I feel a mild pleasurable buzz in my prostate area, but on the "off" days I often feel an annoying buzz that is generally a little to the left or a little to the right of the prostate area but almost never exactly on the prostate.

On my "on" days, the first 10-20 minutes of sessions are good, but after that the good feelings fade and are replaced by a weird, unpleasant feeling slightly to the left of my prostate that occurs in 5-10 second intervals.

This pattern of on and off days has been continuing for 3-4 months. I'm frustrated because I don't seem to really be making any progress. I've seen that some forum members seem permanently stuck in the on/off day cycle while others move pass it. However, none of them seem to be experiencing the same strange things that I am (such as normal orgasms not feeling pleasurable on "off" days).

If anyone has advice to give or has experienced similar things, can they share their thoughts on my current experiences and what to expect as I continue my journey?

Sounds like your making progress!

Here are some questions to help you troubleshoot. Know that I have not encountered the same roadblocks as you, so I can’t say this will be of help, and it’s kinda general stuff, but..

Do you practice edging when you masturbate? For example do you ever masturbate for 30 to 45 minutes getting very close to the edge for extended periods of time? This can help you learn a lot about your body as well as build arousal and lead to a stronger ejaculatory orgasm. And in the more extreme versions of edging, it can help you learn how to have dry orgasms through masturbation. After having several dry orgasms while masturbating, for me the final ejaculatory orgasm can pale in comparison.

Do you try a wide variety of positions in your sessions? Do you try a wide variety of practices in your sessions? Do you moan? Do you fantasize? Do you touch your body all over? Have you simultaneously been going down the path of nipple rewiring, and learning how to rewire other parts of your body as well? All of these things can help heighten your sessions, while taking the pressure off your prostate, so to speak. It is possible that you are focusing a lot on the specific sensations of the prostate massager ramming against your prostate, or clenching too hard in general. Maybe it is a good idea to try to integrate in your entire body into your sessions to become less fixated on the direct pressure of the toy on your prostate. Or do the do-nothing technique. But I have no idea what your sessions are like because you don’t explain them above. So excuse me I am restating things you already do!

In terms of semen just leaking out, If it just happen one time there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. However if it has become a chronic thing, maybe something is going on... anyone? And if you are having unpleasant aching sensations I imagine it is best to take the toy out. Pain is our bodies way of warning us. Others will surely post their ideas ...

On my "on" days, the first 10-20 minutes of sessions are good

Hi, thanks for your contribution to this forum. One single question crossed my mind when reading your report: Why don’t you call it a session after these first good 10-20 minutes? Pull out your Aneros tool and enjoy yourself? Love and caress your body and thank your gland for these good feelings?

Okay, you have mentioned you were young, and at a certain age masturbating to perhaps three times a day should still be in a normal range. But re-wiring and learning new pathways to fully different kinds of arousal takes time to overwrite your old schemes how to rub one out. Although you are young, you too need your refractory periods. If not to ejaculate again but to digest all the new feelings and experiences.

I would keep a telly about my sessions, masturbations and ejaculations to examine and perhaps discover a scheme to foresee another off-day, then skip that session and wait for my next on-day.

Don‘t underestimate your subconscious mind. It may be unable to cope with all the new impressions of longer sessions than 10 to 20 minutes and it might see a danger in letting you keep going. My mantra has been „I will do myself no harm.“ - a sentence I‘ve been repeating again and again in my early sessions until my subconsciousness finally gave in and let me experience some of those at first really frightening heights of ecstasy and bliss, I’d never known before.

Good vibes for your unique journey and keep us posted!

Mart

I have done some edging, but I have never been able to have a dry orgasm that way.

I have done experimentation during sessions, but I find that "do nothing" is generally the best technique.

The semen leaking out is chronic and considering that it started around the same time as my on/off cycle began and when I was able to get dry Os again, it doesn't seem like a coincidence. The aching sensations occur even when I have no toys inside. These only occur on my off days, and it is odd how they almost never occur exactly on the prostate but always a little to the side. They can range from weird to annoying, but they are not what I'd call pain. Ejaculating does not relieve these aches. They are usually mild and easily ignored, but there have been a few times when they were strong and hard to ignore.

I could call it a session after 10-20 minutes, and that probably is the wise thing to do, but it seems like most others are able to have sessions for an indefinite amount of time, so I feel like if I practice having longer sessions, I'll eventually be able to have more than 10-20 minutes of pleasure. I have explored other sensations, but none of them are comparable to the first 10-20 minutes of a good session. I have been logging my sessions for a while and I have found no clear pattern in on/off days.

@papertowelz

Consider this: Some people will say ow when they get pinched. Others will moan with pleasure. How we perceive different  sensations varies drastically from person to person, and it can vary drastically in one person at different points in their life or even at different points in their day, or based on the circumstances. For example, if my friend pulls my hair I will say stop that hurts. But if my girlfriend pulls my hair I will immediately submit to her psychologically and get a lot of pleasure from the nerve endings been stimulated, as well as from being dominated.

I am not saying that the aching that you’re feeling is normal, and I do not want to encourage you to hurt yourself or make a situation worse. But perhaps the dull aching is what many people here describe as an afterglow, a buzzing, or a tingling. If it is indeed just that, then perhaps you need to learn how to enjoy it, or figure out how to not have it at all. There are threads on this form of people who have experienced out of session buzzing and tingling and who dislike it completely. Who is to say if those of us who enjoy that are feeling the same thing? Are some people experiencing different sensations that are negative and others feel positive sensations? Or do certain people interpret the same sensations differently? Again I would like to stress that you shouldn’t be hurting yourself, so if you are very worried that something isn’t right, just get your prostate checked out by doctor.

If you are completely healthy, and you want to avoid the aching you describe, there are many ways you can go about getting the most out of your session. You can try rewiring other parts of your body, like I mentioned above. You can learn how to get the most out of those first 20 minutes of your session, so that you don’t need to spend two hours with your toy in. That is personally what I do, just because I am able to get pleasure very quickly upon insertion, and thus I can save time.

One thing you could do is take a break for a couple weeks or a even a couple months, and in the meantime work on rewiring your nipples, for example. That way you will see if the semen leaking reverses itself, and if it is in fact linked to your toy use. If for whatever reason you aren’t able to use these toys Because of discomfort or because of your anatomy (which I haven’t heard of, but who knows), Worry not. Human sexuality is vast, and there are many ways to get off that don’t involve direct pressure on the prostate. But I think you’ll find a way to work through this.

@rumel With his long-term experience here and his archiving abilities, may know of some threads that talk about this matter. @unfug With his extended knowledge of pelvic basin anatomy Might be able to shed some light on the problem too (sorry to put y’all on the spot).
