I just purchased the Aneros SGX at a local store. I got home and realized that the SGX is made for guys of shorter stature. I am 6'3 and a rather large guy.

Will the SGX work well for me or should I buy the Helix or MGX due to the longer length?

I used the SGX tonight and the P-Tab is really hurting me, is there a safe way to get rid of it or something I can put on it to make it not hurt?

Thanks!

djrtbrahma,

Paradoxically the SGX though shorter than the MGX or Helix actually reaches further than the Helix when fully inserted. If you look at the illustration of the Helix in its proper location (see the introductory PM I sent you) you will notice the narrow waist of the Helix is actually higher up along the main body than the narrow waist of the SGX. Due to this situation, when the SGX is correctly inserted it may actually reach further inside than the Helix.

If you do the suggested reading in the introductory PM, you will come across a short section in the WIKI which deals with Softening the P-tab's action. Since the P-tab is an essential part of the patented design, its removal would greatly compromise the effective action of your massager.

Because men's physical anatomies do vary a little bit you may find the SGX will work for you, if not, you can always move up to the MGX model. I suggest you give the SGX a reasonable opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities, perhaps 8-10 sessions, before making a judgment about replacement and try the simple padding suggested in the WIKI.

Wow great post rumel.

@rumel -- makes mucho sense and I think this should be mentioned in the Wiki. I witnessed this on an early session (#3), using an SGX with condom lube. It got sucked way in to a clench and I mini-Oed. Didn't repeat that for about two months.

@djrtbrahama -- Suggest not to modify the p-tab now as you're going to do a lot of muscling-up along your perineum. Musculature changes are going to change everything over the next few months. Take rumel's advice and look at padding options in the Wiki. I found the rubber medicine dropper bulb to be perfect and used it on both a helix and SGX for almost four months.
(Helix to soften contact and eliminate some pain. SGX to tighten it up as it was a bit loose.) As I gained muscle, both the helix and SGX sort of 'equalized' and now work perfectly without modification and without padding.

Oh yeah, I'm 6 ft, 185lb. SGX remains a favorite, particularly for foreplay.
