I am a single 48 year old male who lives alone and tend to masturbate several times a week, sometimes several times a day. Anxious for a super O I have been trying to cut back on masturbation. The longest I have gone so far is 4 days. I am using the progasm or the progasm lr 4 to 6 hours each 5 days a week and try not to masturbate. When I do masturbate I enjoy having the progasm or progasm jr in me for a great ejaculation. My question is am I slowing down the process or confusing the rewiring process

I found when starting out with Aneros that I should refrain from masturbation and the wiki recommends keeping the penis out of the fun! That being said, however, I discovered that following my initial Aneros sessions (hours later), I developed intense erections that could only be "satisfied" with ejaculation. You may find this as well. I would suggest refraining from ejaculation for a while while continuing your Aneros sessions and see what develops! It's called "semen retention" and if you never tried it, you should! It is not easy at first, but it can be intensely arousing. All of this should help you with your prostate rewiring.

I'm torn on it personally. One one hand there's cultivating that pent-up arousal. But on the other hand there's building up the need to ejaculate. I think if you drive yourself crazy by denying ejaculation, when that's what you really want, then your sessions will be pushed towards the pursuit of that. But I don't think the ejaculation-path is what you should be aiming at, because that's not what the aneros does. But I acknowledge that there's a way to think-around that problem, and it all depends on your attitude towards what you're experiencing by abstaining.
I see abstaining as a tool, that's there to be experimented with.
