I have ordered my progasm look forward to it's arrival. Was wondering if there are other prostate cancer survivors using and what their experience has been. I had nerve sparing prostatectomy two years ago.

jbesaw,

Welcome to the Aneros Forums,

Yes, I am a prostate cancer survivor !

Four years ago, I had external beam radiation therapy performed, so my experience was substantialy different from yours.

The most significant noticeable effect for me is a partial loss of sensitvity and response intensity. I attribute this to radiation causing probable permanent nerve damage. It's as if your room lights were gradually being dimmed down. While I can still have Super-O's they are less frequent and less intense, as compared prior to the treatments.

I do still get all the therapeutic massage benefits of Aneros use.

P.S. I sent you an introductory PM with some additional hints and tips to get you started here.
Good Vibes to You !

Thanks Rumel for your response and the information. I am hopeful that I will get some pleasure from the device. I am getting erections more frequently so there may be hope for a Super-O for me. How long did it take you to re-wire?

jbesaw,
"How long did it take you to re-wire?"

Hmmm, That's a difficult question to answer. I view the Aneros journey as an evolving adventure with on-going 're-wiring' taking place, so in that sense re-wiring is not a 'done deal'. I think we are all playing on a continuum of experiences which continually affects the neuro-plasticity of our brains.

Rewiring is not a recognizable set point, yet, you know your sensual perceptions and responses have changed in very subtle ways. While I got to the Super-O fairly quickly, I would say it took about 3 months to consistently have pleasurable Anerosessions. Mind you, I've never had consistent Super-O Anerosessions, they occur when they occur and are wonderful, but I don't concern myself with chasing after them. I like to think of my Anerosessions as erotic meditations with 'benefits'

That's good information. I hope I can get a pleasurable experience. I think that not to have expectations may be the key to sucsess. I'm just not sure what my husband is going to think about it. I hope he doesn't think I'm trying to replace him ! I love having sex with him.

Jbesaw--I too am a prostate cancer survivor -- radiation implant two years ago. I enjoyed the Aneros for about two years prior to diagnosis, and then again beginning several months after treatment. I am pleased 🙂 to tell you that my experience has simply gotten better!

Hi Bill.
Would you tell me more about your experience. Since we don't have prostates anymore thinks are different. I really miss mine.
What model of aneros do you use. I just got mine yesterday. Prograsm. Since it a little empty back there I thought the larger one would be better.
