Good morning everyone,

I am trying to determine where to go from here. I have had some prostate experience through pegging and got a sense of the amazing potential of the prostate. Unfortunately, pegging was incredibly unreliable. After researching the forums, it seemed as though I’d have to train my body to be responsive to that stimulus. I purchased the Aneros Vice because of the size and previous experience enjoying the feeling of fullness this size provides. I have used it with and without vibration. It isn’t doing much for me and I am starting to wonder if I should have started with a different Aneros product. I didn’t think I was a beginner, per we, so didn’t go with the products the site recommends for beginners. What I am seeking from this community is advice about whether I should purchase a different model or if the model matters less than time, patience and exploration. Thank you for your time and guidance.

I started 3 weeks ago with the Progasm. No previous anal play experience to really speak of. I wish I knew about the forum, because my reading would have directed to purchase the Helix or MGX. For me, I find that the smaller Helix that I now have, triggers quicker and even though it's much more subtle, I would have benefited from the increased sensitivity and response to educate me on what to look for in sensations. And because I wasn't experienced previously, it wouldn't have seemed so intimidating.

I appreciate the input. That seems to be the prevailing theme in some threads, the helix or similar smaller device. I’d hate to think I spent his much on something that may not be relevant right now but perhaps, one day, it will work.

Before I found out about Aneros I was using a couple of unbranded silicone vibrators, various sizes. Unfortunately they never really did much.
Now after rewiring and getting super-os these vibrators work perfectly. Sometimes it's even too much. So I'm sure that at some point you'll enjoy the Vice 🙂

@evercuriousone, last night I started with the Helix and finished with the Progasm, and it was an unbelievable session. I've read that a lot of guys will do the same thing for amazing results.

@evercuriousone , a key word when using Aneros is mobility. The whole idea is for the massager to stroke your prostate while moving in and out. The larger the massager, the more restricted the movements. Once your prostate is awakened and your nerves are rewired, you are more likely to achieve orgasm also from the more restricted movements of the larger massagers. Helix or Helix Syn are popular choices for startup. Personally, I have had some of my best orgasms with the Eupho, which is one of the least filling massagers, allthough I don't recommend this one as a starter.

As for vibrations, I find that they tend to desensitize my prostate, but then again, we are all different.

Apart from the choice of massager, the key element to success is patience. Allowing things to happen, rather than trying to make them happen.

Enjoy your journey!

@evercuriousone This exactly. Start with the Helix or MGX. I ditched the progasm because it was too big. The best one for me has been the Maximus Trident, (I switched to it from a helix classic. The Trident line is MUCH MUCH better than the classic line) although I have an eye on getting a Eupho Trident. like Pavlov says, with the Aneros, often, less is more, you'll need mobility to get to the really mind-blowing orgasms.

I agree with everyone above for buying a non-vibrating device to discover prostate orgasms.

@jeykr Do you get super-os from your vibrating devices? I have never been able to with my Lelo Hugo (which is one of the most expensive on the market).

@divine_oblivion Same here and I think I know why. Currently the biggest hurdle for me is letting go to the subtle stimulation of my Helix, mentally and physically. My body always starts to tense up without me noticing it and I have to consciously relax everything to launch myself into a super-o. Same goes for my mind, it starts wandering rather than concentrating on the feelings. So I'll have to keep thinking to myself "let go, don't react". Now when it comes to vibrators the stimulation they give is probably too much so I can't properly relax into the feelings and switch off. I always find myself trying to fuel the pleasure with contractions.

Once the letting go part becomes easier I'll try the vibrators again and see if it'll work with them 🙂

Do you experience the same thing?

@jeykr I actually abandoned using my vibrator around 5 months ago. I was using it after aneros sessions (helix->vibrator->finishing with large dildo/trad-masturbation). I kinda forgot about it now that my aneros sessions are incredibly orgasmic, and I have figured out other things to keep the pleasure going (traditional masturbation that leads to dry-Os). I will try the vibrator again when I get home from vacation, to see what it does for me and if I can now have super-os with it, seeing that I am now very much rewired.

As for relaxing or not, for me it just depends on the session. I often get very tense in parts of my body (buttocks, thighs, calves, stomach) right at the brink of orgasm, and then through awareness of that tension I relax. With that relaxation (which ironically requires huge mental effort) the orgasm happens. For example, lying on my side my knees might be locked together by the time a reach the brink, and by slowly relaxing them and spreading them every so slightly apart (that is, lifting the leg not against the bed) the orgasm comes rushing in. I think no matter what I do though during a given moment in a session-- do-nothing, extreme muscle contraction, or somewhere in between-- the only thing that is essential for me for attaining orgasm(ic plateaus) is not letting my mind wander, and focusing 100 percent on the moment.

I started off with a helix and used that for 7 amazing years. I finally got a pro Jr that has taken my sessions to another level.
ive also experienced vibrating toys from other brands, they're great for super Ts but wasn't able to reach a super O.
