Hi I am looking to purchase my first Aneros. I have read that the SGX is targeted for asian men at the height of 5"6" or SHORTER.

I happen to be asian at exactly 5'6" in height.

I know that the aneros have different models to fit each person.

Should I get the SGX model or MGX?

Should I be on the safe side and get the MGX for the extra half inch that is less on the SGX?

I just want to make sure I get the best suitable one for me.

thanks in advance!!!

Hi santoneusc!

I am 5'-9" and I have had Super-O's with my SGX and MGX.

IMHO, either will work for you! (SGX, MGX or even the Helix)

Hope this helps!

Later, Hlaser99

Hey santoneusc!

Can't go wrong with an MGX!

To be truthful it was years back and I don't really remember???

Although, the MGX has an aggressive P-tab and that has always felt fantasric!

Hi santoneusc,

Well it looks like I'm a little late getting back to you with this information, since you've already made a purchase decision. I composed the following to try and help you decide, but I'll go ahead and post it so that others can perhaps make use of it anyway, since this is a frequently asked question.

In answer to your question about Aneros selection, the following is from the Aneros ‘HOME’ page -
http://www.aneros.com/faq.php?id=U
“Which Aneros model is right for me? How do I know it's the right size?
1) Despite differences in height, weight and other physical characteristics, the location of the prostate gland - 2 to 3 inches inside the anus - is the same in approximately 98% of all men. By having an insertion length of approximately four inches, the Aneros compensates for differences in physical dimensions. Unfortunately, we do not have any definitive rules for deciding upon which massager is best for any given individual. Ultimately, this has to be a personal decision. People of all sizes and shapes from all over the world have used the Aneros, and preferences vary.”

I suggest you check out and read the following :
http://www.aneros.com/chooser.php and "Which Aneros model is best for new users?" Poll -
http://aneros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1803

Those should help you make an appropriate decision for yourself.

I would not recommend the Progasm for new users but the SGX, MGX or Helix would be good first choices. I’m assuming that your body is normally proportioned and considering your height (5'-6"), the SGX might be a good option for you to initially try. With that model (which is a little shorter than the MGX), if it does not engage your prostate satisfactorily, you can get a full refund from the Aneros company (see their guarantee at - http://www.malegspot.com/guarantee.php ) and subsequently purchase another model. Thus you can basically try it out risk free!

SGX specifications - .65” diameter at tip
15/16” diameter at mid-ridge, circ. = 2.94”
1 3/4” from main body to perineum pressure point
3.5" from tip to base of stem
MGX specifications - 3/4” diameter at tip, circ. = 2.355”
3/4” diameter at mid-ridge, circ. = 2.355”
1 3/4” from main body to perineum pressure point
4" from tip to base of stem
Helix specifications - 1 1/16” diameter at tip, circ. = 3.34”
15/16” diameter at mid-ridge, circ. = 2.94”
1 3/4” from main body to perineum pressure point
4" from tip to top of the base

You might also consider the Helix model, even though it is a little longer (+1/2”) overall than the SGX model for the following reason. If you look closely at the two models, side by side, there is a distinct difference in the profiles. The SGX tapers continuously down to the handle/P-tab arm. The Helix has a definite “waist” about 2/3 of the way down from the tip. Once inserted, the natural position of the Aneros will have the narrowest portion of either model located at the tightest point of your anal sphincter muscle. As it turns out that point is approximately the same distance from the tip (which is the prostate massage point) for both models. So you can see that the Helix model will not over-shoot your prostate as the MGX or Progasm models might.

Also see a related thread - http://aneros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2568

I’m (5’-8”) and personally own the MGX, Helix and Progasm models; each has a slightly different feel and action. If I had to choose only one it would probably be the Helix model, as it seems to be the most versatile, but I also like my MGX alot too. I doubt you will be disappointed with the SGX, MGX or Helix models as most of the important action takes place in your mind anyway.

So are you saying i should get the SGX over the MGX? please let me know! maybe i still could change my order.

Santoneusc,

No, I am not saying you should get the SGX over the MGX, because if you are getting this through the Aneros web site you can try either one risk free for 90 days. So go ahead and keep your order and take the MGX for a test drive. If you haven’t had some successes in 70 days you can cut the handle and tail off, send it back in and get your money back or order the other model. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, if you are like many of us on the Forum, you will probably become enamored with your new toy and want to try some others anyway.
