Perineum Stimulator: Painful?

After reading about the Aneros and hearing about it on other forums, I bought the Holiday Pack and was very happy to receive it last week. I'd been reading up on B's tips, as well as all the information on this site and forums. After inserting the Helix and relaxing for 10-15 minutes, I took a deep breath, cleared my mind, and began to explore the new sensastions the Aneros offered.

I knew not to expect a Super-O on my first try, and over the next 60 minutes I tried different contractions and positions. While I occasionaly felt a few twinges of something that felt interesting, it seemed to mostly be due ot the sensation of the Aneros moving in and out than any stimulation of the prostate. In fact, I was surprised to realize after I ended the session that I had remained flaccid throughout the entire experience.

However as I removed the Aneros, the hard pressure that the perineum tab had been exerting on my "taint" (I use this term since I could not and still don't know for sure where the right perineum pressure point is) had durned into a pulsing ache. It was like riding a bicycle for an hour with one of those really narrow, hard seats. In fact, a few hours later as I was getting ready for bed, I noticed that that area was still sore.

I'd assume my lack of any sort of stimulation was probably mostly due to my inexperience, but I was not expecting the uncomfortable pain from the perineum tab. Has anyone else experienced this, and figured out a good position or way to avoid it?

Leaderdom,

This is not unusual at all, you have described a very common complaint from new users. The HELIX has the smallest P-tab in the Aneros lineup and therefore the most pressure per square inch when contractions occur. To some extent you will get inured to this pressure with further usage as your body adjusts to these new sensations. There is also the simple workaround of providing some padding between the P-tab and your skin. I use 8 thicknesses of toilet paper – 1 sheet folded in half 3 times, this is easily disposable, quick and inexpensive. It also has the advantage of absorbing any stray lube that may creep toward the tab.
There have been several other modifications described to ease the pressure/discomfort of intense P-tab action. You can use the ‘Search’ function to find some of those threads, but the toilet tissue works very well and does not require any modification to the Aneros itself.
It doesn’t seem to matter too much what position you are in, that little P-tab is going to bite in pretty good once you start performing the contractions.

Finding your ‘sweet spot’ on the perineum may take some time (I still haven’t found mine, though I keep searching) – see “In Search of the Sweet Spot” in the sticky thread - http://aneros.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=767
That may help you as well. I hope this leads you to a more comfortable Aneros ride.

Hi Leaderdom!

As always, Rumel is giving excellent advice!

Only thing I would add for the P-tab problem of yours besides the tissue advice, which does work, by the way! Some one posted a cure for this a long time back, which I have used ever-since on the Helix and other models with this P-tab configuration.

I went to the local drug store and purchased a 2-pack of "medicine droppers" they're quite cheap and they work for me. (just pull the black rubber squeeze bulb off one and slip it over the P-tab!) It softens the blow and they last a good, long time as well! (the first few times you use it, it will take a little pressure to get it on, but it will stretch some with use)

Hope this helps!

Enjoy your Journey . . .

Hlaser

Just make sure you look at the rubber squeeze bulb carefully, I bought one at a local drug store and when I got home I noticed the very tip had small hard pointy bubble, which would of made things quite painful. I ended up doing surgery to it because I didn't want to go back out and look for another, used an exacto-knife to cut a small opening on the side and slide the Helix tab in that, so the rubber bit was on its side pointing between balls and anus instead of pointing down. I'll probably go and buy another dropper eventually if I ever can find one that'd work.

Thanks for the advice all!

I plan to try the toilet paper fix first just to see what the difference is., before I go and get the rubber droppers :).

As to the lack of any stimulation, I just plan to keep tring at a few times, and stay relaxed without getting frustrated! I noticed several other people mentioned they felt little to nothing their first few times, but that their sensitivity increased as time went on. Hopefully I'll soon be able to say the same thing happened to me!

I would experiment with one or two tissues and see what works best for you. I remember early on my perineum was quite sore from my Helix and one sheet still was too painful, but two sheets worked perfectly. Eventually, as my perineum became use to the pressure, I was able to drop down to one sheet. I still use one sheet to this day, it provides a small amount of cushion, absorbs lube, and prevents the tab from snagging any stray hair I missed shaving.

That pretty much describes me to a T, my first sessions were very non-eventful. It took me about a month before my sessions became constantly pleasurable, though along the way my body showed me in various ways that I was making progress. Just hang in there and things will start working for you.
