P-waves question

Hi boys

Haven’t been on in a while, I took a break from my Helix as I wasn’t getting very far and frustration was ensuing, but I haven’t given up on my practise!

I’ve noticed while stretching my shoulders or my back that sometimes, if I contract my PC muscle, I feel little pleasurable shudders go up my spine. Are these the elusive p-waves people talk about?

As a side question, while I was taking time away from my helix, I was using my dildo more and preferring the sensations a little more - as expected, it’s longer and thicker.

Mum gay and prefer to bottom more..is it worth looking at a slightly different toy like the Progasm (or the jr) as I get off more on the fullness sensation?

Thanks!

I think you are making a wise decision to take a break. Frustration is often the result of expectations not being met, when you step back and take a break it gives you a chance to evaluate your situation, your feelings and those underlying expectations. I suspect your frustrations will abate when you recognize you've been pushing to fulfill those those expectations but can now drop them.

YES, IMHO, they are, I think you you answered your own question with "...pleasurable shudders...", P-wave sensations may take many forms such as tingling, prickly, electric like, warm body flushes, tickle like itching, subtle buzzing like vibrations, even cold chill like sensations, etc. I think it would be a mistake to dismiss any of these sensations as inconsequential or non-P-wave phenomena while holding onto to some mythic, illusory concept of what a P-wave is in your ego consciousness. These are sensations being generated by your body at a sub-conscious level, your body has it's own language, it is your consciousness' job to tune into that language.

Every Aneros model does offer slightly different performance characteristics. The Aneros company responded to the desire of many users for a more full filling model with the Maximus Classic (now discontinued), then the Progasm which then led to the VICE & DeVICE models. The fullness of the original Maximus has now been incorporated into the new Maximus Trident, any of these models are worth exploring for that fullness feeling you are looking for.

@rumel Thanks for the response, I think you’re right!

In my time away, I really enjoyed using my dildo on me. I volley didn’t have the same sensations but it was more awakened for obvious reasons. While you’re here...I’m looking to place an order now, between the pro and the jr, should I go for the pro? That was the advice I got from Lovehoney while talking to them now but I’d prefer male input and an expert even better...

Based upon your desire for a fuller experience and the fact the Progasm Jr. is approximately 80% the size of the Progasm, betwixt the two models you may be happier with the full size Progasm model.

@rumel good, because I literally just pushed the button and ordered the progasm now, with some silicon lube to help it move around a little easier in there.

Will update you you on my first ride on Sunday!

So, I messed up the order somehow and ended up receiving a Progasm Jr this weekend, instead of the Progasm. I was recommended the Progasm both here and by the helpful assistant at LoveHoney (I live in the UK, it's extortionate to buy them direct form Aneros here) and that was what I opted for.

When I realised, they helped me correct it and sent out the correct one, which should arrive later this week.. However, the Jr arrived to and for research purposes, I whipped it out of the box to take a look at it.

Firstly, I was taken with how solid this toy feels in comparison to the Helix Syn. I decided to go for the Progasm as I enjoy the fuller feeling my dildo provides but desiring a more direct stimulation of the spot than it can give me.. However, now it's here and I've compared it to my Helix, I'm actually wondering if it will be big enough to do the job!

Has anyone gone from the Helix to a Progasm and then came back to something smaller, like the Jr again, and had more success? Coming from a man who is still trying to find his first dry-o, never mind the pinnacle of Aneros pleasure!

@Lth0ms0n I have had success with sizes ranging from the smallest Peridise to the Progasm. As expected, the progasm gives a fuller feeling, but for me, there's no correlation between size and success.

A smaller model comes with increased mobility, and since the basic idea is that the massager should gently stroke the area of your rectum that is located towards the prostate (it is not stroking the actual prostate), smaller models often generate more stroking action. Since there is less pressure from a smaller model, it may initially appear as if it is less efficient, but after a while the stroking action of the smaller models can lead to some really amazing orgasms.

As with many other things, less is often more. Compare with a partner stroking your body. Does it feel better the harder they stroke?
