I am a 39 year old in a hetro relationship.

I have just purchased an Aneros Helix, having done a lot of reading etc, about which model to choose.

Used it today for the first time, this is how things went.

First i did a clearout/enema, then had a short bath, then put up two 5ml shots of K.Y.

Then as per instructions slowly inserted the Helix, with no problems straight in.

Having felt no adverse reactions i waited a few minutes.

I could not really feel the Helix on my prostrate at this time, so i started the sphincter contractions & over the course of about 1 h 45 m tried various positions to get a reaction.

Basically at first i got a slight erection and a bit of pre-cum & some slight feelings of pleasure these came & went with a bit more pre-cum, over the session i removed & relubed a few times.

I dit not touch my penis once throughout this time, sometimes i got the impression that there was the hint of something (like a very slight crack in a door) but this proved ellusive.

In the end i finished myself off by hand, but strangely did not get a proper erection, when i ejaculated it was very powerful, firstly a huge shot of come & involuntary contractions followed, then it felt like a second wave was about to shoot out but i just got the feeling of it & no more came out.

I found this last bit extremely erotic & pleasureable, but was a bit dissapointed with the rest before it.

I am a newbie to Aneros but not prostate self massage, as in the past i had a slightly enlarged prostate, with mild prostitus symtoms, i discovered the self massage technique on the net & after a few attempts got quite good at milking/draining the prostate to get relief from the symptoms.

When i chose the helix i was torn between it or the progasm, but erred on the side of caution & went for the helix as a starting point.

I seem to find it awkward to isolate the sphincter muscle on its own the other muscle the one that you use to stop peeing seems to contract at the same time?

Also even after some hours later i am still getting some pre-cum and the odd erection, my prostate feels a bit tender & my ass a bit tired but no pain.

Any help advice to a willing newbie is appreciated.

Good moring mclacj and welcome to the Aneros experience and Forum,

I think you had an outstanding first session!! Many guys don't gain a sense of contact until their fourth or fifth session. With your prior massage experience you are ahead of the curve.

'Overlubed' isn't usually a newbie issue but 10ml is "generous." B.F. Mayfield once commented that we aren't aiming for a KY enema. Try 8ml next time and see if that's adequate for easy movement and perhaps slightly increased sense of contact.

You'll gain the ability to isolate on either the PC or sphincter muscles in a short time. Routine use of the Helix will build muscle tone and the ability to isolate can be sped up through Kegel exercises. Check the Wiki or Google for them. If your Hetro-partner is into Kegels, ask her to coach you.

Starting into the Aneros experience, degree of erection is a broad variable ranging from rock-hard to flaccid. You'll probably settle into a 'mild chubby' for most of your Aneros sessions which is helpful in focusing on prostate and other body & brain sensations. At some point you may want to combine the Aneros with sexual foreplay. When you do that, you can focus on penis when you want to become penetrable. You may find that this brings a wider range of intensity to your foreplay and may reduce the 'rush to climax.'

Look for two changes to happen with your sessions. First, you'll tone down the amount of action as your sensitivity increases and that will do away with tenderness. Second, the 'tired ass' will vanish as you muscle-up.

Keep posting as you progress .... hth rook

I agree with Rook. Your first session wasn't the least bit unusual and could even be considered above average. Just go with it in future sessions. For me, I never had any sessions that were orders of magnitude better than previous ones. Every one just got a teeny bit better. All these little improvements added up over time.
Also, your semi-flaccid ejaculation matches my experience exactly. If I masturbate right after aneros use, I never get a full erection. I thought it was odd at first but have now accepted it as the way it is.
FWIW, I use about 4ml lube and it works fine for me. You'll have to experiment to find what you like best.

Many thanks for the input guys!

I had wondered whether i had chosen the wrong aneros model, as i have read a lot about people going straight for the progasm & raving about it.

However i realise from this forum that the progasm is not necassarily a fast track option.

Will have another session later on today & try to build on it with your advice.

Once again many thanks.

I just have this advice to add-- breathe deeply and slowly, almost like you are panting from your diaphragm. Keep your mouth open, with your tongue to the top of your mouth. And try the "do nothing" method.

Had my 2nd session today, spent longer on the breathing & relaxation then did the sp warm ups with breathing for a while longer.

This all seemed to relax me more than before & i got more feelings this time but still elusive & somewhat muted, i still need to isolate the sp clench more, i hope this will come soon.

Also used less lube than before 5ml shot & bit of lube on helix.

Ended the session with hand job, managed to clench on verge of shooting! held it back once (slightly dissapointed with just the once!) then shot my load, the involuntary sp clenches were strong & it felt good.

I am now i believe on the journey.

Will keep posting.

Now had a few more sessions, these are my findings.

Used 5ml of lube & some on helix.

Did the usual warm ups, then after i did the sp holds, after about an hour i turned onto my side & felt the most intense pulsing feeling in my anus that produced an enormous erection, this lasted about 30-60 seconds.

I managed to repeat this a few more times, then i finished off with a hand job.

Conclusion-I found the point to which my sp muscle produced this pleasure, but found it difficult to reproduce/sustain.

Hopefully this will continue to improve to greater pleasures.

I am now a convinced that these devices do work given time & patience.
