On a whim ( after reading about the wonders and benefits of a PM ), I went out and bought the Helix Syn. Given that I am not used to having anything anally inserted before, I figure I'd start out easy. Surprisingly, the hard part ( inserting the Helix Syn ) wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The hard part ( as most of you probably know ) is figuring out if the Helix Syn is inserted proper and whether I am even doing it right. From all of the diagrams and instructions, I have the tip pointing towards my abdomen with the Perineum tip placed against my Perineum.

What I can't figure out is whether the tip of the Helix Syn is even reaching my Prostrate Gland. I really don't feel anything. I tried contracting my anus on and off for 20 minutes....tried different positions ( "on my elbows with my butt up" and on my side with my knee bent and other leg straight ) while contracting....but I really didn't feel anything. I'm not expecting to feel some rush or anything.....I was hoping to at least feel that the tip was massaging or rubbing against the Prostrate gland. I was wondering if maybe I needed to push the Helix Syn just a little deeper to see if it "hits the wall" while massaging my perineum...but I didn't feel anything.

I then thought to myself....maybe if I literally used my finger on myself....that I can at least tell where to direct the Helix Syn to hit that spot. I had the same problem....I didn't know what to feel for or even if my finger was long enough ( I reached my anus from the front instead of the back using my middle finger ). I tried once more while trying to get sexually aroused with some Porn ( first without touching and then touching ) but still had no additional feeling.
I'm not tall or anything, so it's not like the Helix Syn isn't long enough to reach my prostrate gland.

To be fair....this morning was my 2nd time attempt and I only tried for 20 minutes ( only cuz I was getting bored )....but what I am doing wrong here? I keep on reading that I have to be relaxed. I felt relaxed down there....at least I thought I was. I guess I'm not sure.

Should I be more patient and literally lie there and doing contractions for much longer ( maybe 30 minutes )?

How do I know if I have even proverbially "hit" the prostrate gland with the Helix Syn?

Any suggestions for a newbie?

Thanks to all in advance for replying.

Have you ever learned how to use a muscle that you never could before? Or discovered a muscle you didn't know of and then how to use it? Well thats sort of what happens in the beginnings of PM play. Your brain isn't used to your prostate being stimulated so therefore the nerve endings aren't very responsive. This is where re-wiring comes into play. The more and more you explore your prostate, the more repsonsive it becomes as your body adjusts to it. You're literaly re-wiring nerves for a new kind of reponse. Give it some time and don't get your hopes up too quick. An open mind leads to success.

(Also a little pretending goes far. If you act it enough adventualy it will be pleasure.)

@RM31 @Tatornator is right. I wouldn't be concerned at all if the Helix is hitting your prostate. It is. Just focus on the right mechanics for the next 6-8 sessions with no expectations whatsoever. Prostate stim is not like any other kind of sexual stimulation you may be used to. There is no immediate reward like in an edging session. But once your prostate is "awakened" through the re-wiring process, you will feel the great satisfaction knowing that you are well on your way to achieving a Super-O! Check-out the "do-nothing" method in the Wiki. You may want to give it a try and see what sensations you may feel. Good luck!

Thanks to the both of you for your response.

From what I am gathering from your responses......continue to work with the contraction exercises. Physically, I may not be feeling anything....yet....but over time....my body should get used to it and accomodate the new sensations?

Should I stick with a certain position and continue to contract my muscles down there?

or

Should I change positions every so often to see if something starts to "click"?

The analogy that I can use would be similar to exercising. Should I continually stick with working on dumbell curls?

or

Should I mix it up and work on Dumbell curls one day and then switch to working on my shoulders?

Any suggestions on what I should do as I am starting out?

Hi RM31
The other guys have given you good advice! The only thing I would add is to be aware of the pleasurable sensations that your body is giving you now...don't think about what it might be giving you in the future. Even if it's just the fact that it feels good to have your helix in there, that's a good thing to be celebrated. Enjoy what your body gives you and soon it will give you a little bit more. You might feel a little tingle here, a little twitch there. They may be very subtle at first but these are wonderful things that you can enjoy. You can rest assured that there will be more coming as your body learns these new sensations and learns what to do with them. But for now, enjoy what your body gives you.
As for trying different positions, I would definitely try new positions, as long as they are comfortable and you can relax and be aware of the subtle sensations you're feeling. Be patient though. Always remember, your body is in charge of your progress here .... not you. Good luck and have fun!

Hi @RM31, I only would add to the well written comments, get a little aroused.

Search for new sensibilities testing different touches here and there, perhaps you should avoid to touch your penis, but don't forget your ballsack, your ass, your inner thighs, your stomach, ears, neck, lips, fool around with your tongue in your mouth, search for sensitive spots everywhere to maximize your awareness for NEW SENSATIONS.

Don't stick to the known, try to discover something new and visualize your prostate, try to see before your inner eye, how your toy touches your prostate, gives it a rub, see it growing, sending out waves of pleasure. Try yawning, stretching, feel the accompanying vibes in your body, follow every instant urge of your body to move, the more silly it appears, the better.

Let go, tell yourself again and again, hey, I'm ready, I'm waiting, I'm without fear, I can't do myself no harm, let come to you whatever is coming. The lightest vibe can grow to an overwhelming wave of bliss crushing over you and washing you away into a sea of bliss and ecstasy.

Therefore try to get aware of the slightest hint,

the little tingle here, the little twitch there

All this builds up slowly and the best is yet to come! 🙂

I wish you the best mindset to welcome your new sexuality. Give up command and demanding. Now it's your gland's turn! Have a rest, do nothing and let go! 😮

Hey RM31! These guys are all giving great advice, i will just add i think the biggest mistake new prostate massage device consumers make is questioning whether or not they are doing it "right". Some folks have more sensitive and "developed" nerve centers near their sexual chakra that contains the prostate, anus, perineum, testicles and penis. But what a lot of guys don't really know how to navigate is the idea that their butt can be the source of a completely different flavor of pleasure. I don't know your level of anal pleasure experience, but as for me i have been playing with my rear end since i was a pre-teen, so I have developed a skill set with it for quite some time. However, I never knew that the prostate could provide such amazing and unique sexual feelings and reactions until i was almost in my forties. I, like many men in this society, was taught that anything to do with your butt was wrong and dirty. I did it anyway, but the programming still was there - that is a factor that i think blocks most men from getting to the next level and start re-wiring. Add to that the physical level and it can be daunting for some who would like to see results. We also live in a short-attention-span society and are used to getting what we need quickly, i.e fast-ffod, the internet ans social media - blah , blah, blah.

The thing is it takes a lot of time for most guys. I was lucky and was able to get pretty far pretty quick, but i have plateaued and am still re-wiring after nearly five years. I don't play as often as i would like, and am sure that is the reason. I think the best thing i could say - to quote Ben Kenobi - is to let go. Avoid involving your cock as much as possible, breathe deep into your abdomen and indeed into your anal canal and engage your PC muscles. Don't do anything with the Helix, let it tell you what to do and stay as still as possible. The other key is leaving yourself time. Give yourself a good long window of time to just lay back on your bed, put on some porn if you want, or some chill music, enjoy the sensation of being naked and let your mind wander. If after thirty or so minutes you don't feel any change just lightly clench down on the Helix and relax again. Do that every few minutes and you should find that your anal muscles will do the rest. Good luck and keep us updated!!!
