Just got my new helix in the mail last week. Never had any experience with "anal insertion" before so this whole thing is new to me. The main reason I got it is because I've been dealing with prostatitis for 5 years now with no success so this is my next option. I've had about 4 sessions so far. Haven't seen any changes yet, and definitely haven't had any real pleasure from it yet. I am going to be persistent though since that what seems to be the common opinion on here. Anyway, if any other users who maybe have had prostatitis and have had success with the Aneros have any advice it would be greatly appreciated. Any general new user advice would be great too. Thanks all.

Based on my experience, using the aneros will help clear up and prevent prostatitis.
Since I've been using them, my prostate has started feeling healthier than it had in
years (probably since my teen years). I would stick with it.

Ok. Thanks for the advice. Just out of curiosity what model do you use?

What kind of prostatitis? Do you know your prostate size? (A urologist can tell pretty closely what size your prostate is--they measure it in grams--from a digital rectal exam). Have you done a PSA if you're in the over 40-50 age group? Assuming it's just "chronic prostatitis" or prostatic congestion symptoms that you have and all else is well, then using the Aneros should help. Managing prostate symptoms with an Aneros--like a lot of things in life--takes time, but the symptom relief and the fun you'll have with it are well worth the time and effort. I've been using a Helix almost 6 months now to help prostate congestion symptoms and finally reached the point 3 months ago of being able to produce dry orgasms and overall it's been so helpful to me I wouldn't want to give it up.

Definitely non-bacterial. I am only 25 and I have never had any PSA tests done. I haven't seen the urologist for about 2 years because the last one I saw told me I'd just have to live with it for now. This was after an extensive list from antibiotics to numerous tests and the opinions of several urologists. I finally got fed up of paying for everything and have been trying to cure this myself the last couple years. Tried every prostate supplement out there. Tried ejaculating frequently. Tried not ejaculating at all for extended periods. Nothing seems to help, so this is one of my last resorts. I was skeptical at first but decided to buy after reading the information on www.highisland.com and www.prostate-massage-and-health.com. Thanks for your post though, because it gives me hope that it does work so maybe I can finally get some relief from this thing that's been controlling my life.

At 25 you don't need a PSA and your gland should be small and otherwise healthy for your age. Non-bacterial prostatitis is the bane of every urologist and there's just about nothing they know to do for it but try courses of antibiotics and dietary (avoiding caffeine, etc.), lifestyle (avoiding bicycle riding or prolonged sitting or automobile riding), and ejaculation frequency modifications (avoiding too frequent as in more than once a day as well as too infrequent ejaculation) to see if these will help. Sorry to hear of your problem and your understandable frustration. I don't think you need any more visits to the urologist unless something were to significantly change. I still tend to think your symptoms will improve with continued efforts at using the Aneros and for most guys it's gradual, taking a few weeks to really start noticing the benefits. At that point I think you'll be glad you tried it and the fun you'll have as you start producing the prostate sensations and dry orgasms will make it even more worth it.

I don't think the model matters much, but I use several, most often
mgx and eupho. I will follow it up with ejaculation 1-2 times per week.
I would expect it could take months to see the full benefits.
