WoooHooo ! My Helix has left the building and is on it's way...the anticipation of it arriving in my mailbox is killing me ! Those that read my first post from a few days back know that I have another brand of massager that I picked up on a whim locally, yes it works. I feel the Helix though, just from comparing the shape of it to brand B, will be much better and not so AGGRESSIVE...not so aggressive as in OUCH it can hurt you !!

Thought I'd share a photo of the modification I've made to our first prostate massager which is obviously not the Aneros brand. Adding this 10 dollar magic bullet to the overly aggressive Nero was a pretty simple affair, I filed a wide flat spot on the bottom of the massager and shoo goo'd the magic bullet in place. We have not tested it yet (other than holding it in our hands) as the glue is still curing but the vibrations at the perineum pressure point are quite intense. Having mounted the bullet on a wide flat spot subtle vibrations resonate through the device to the prostate contact point too. So why did I add this vibrating bullet to the Nero ? Well like I said before this brand B massager is very aggressive and it hurts to really clamp down on it sometimes so we are hoping that some subtle vibrations along with a little less clamping force will make it more enjoyable to use. Again I'll say that when I compare the shape of the Aneros Helix to this brand B thing the Helix will most certainly be more comfortable !
Follow this link for a look at the photo...
Yes !! My Helix has arrived !! Maybe the honey and I will give it a test spin later 😉
First impression ? It's smaller than it looks in the photos on the web but this is probably a good thing. The Nero compared to the Helix is HUGE ! I don't like the [KNOCK-OFF] much at all, it's uncomfortable to play with for any length of time and the vibrating bullet mod didn't help one bit. Should have saved my money and waited for the real deal Aneros to arrive, lesson learned. Anyway I'll keep you all posted on the experiences I have with the Helix, really looking forward to giving it a try as it looks a ton more user friendly than that other POS I purchased on impulse.
Cheers...

Well this is somewhat disappointing but so far I've had zero success with the Helix. For me it seems that it just doesn't reach the spot andor my sphincter doesn't grip it well enough when I'm contracting for it to pivot and apply correct pressure on the spot. The abutment tab too never seems to dig in at all like it should although I've been reading some posts about things you can do to remedy that. I'm wondering if I cut the curly tail part off if it will allow the unit to get in a little further and pivot more ?? Due to my frustration with the helix I've practiced a couple more times with the Nero, which is a totally different shape than the Helix, and if I go easy with it it takes me to that wonderful place we strive to get to...although too if I squeeze too hard the Nero gets uncomfortable which WILL ruin the moment.
Maybe I should have ordered the Maximus instead of the Helix ?
i think the helix should be fine for you. i orginally had the same reaction when i bought it. i read that it offers a more 'aggresive' massage so i was expecting to feel much more once it was inserted. my advice is to toss the nero. judging by the pictures, the nero doesnt have the same subtle design as the aneros. if you get used to using a bigger, bulkier tool, it will be difficult to make the transition to the more relaxed, receptive state that is necessary to enjoy the aneros. i suggest that you focus less on the device, and more on getting extremely relaxed and receptive. the key isnt learning exactly how to use the device itself but how to get into the necessary state... and trust me, its worth it. good luck!

I've got quite a few hours of practice into the Helix both alone and with my wife, being relaxed in mind and body is not an issue whatsoever. As well it's somewhat difficult not to focus on what the device is doing when the device is not making contact where it should be making contact no matter how relaxed you are or what body position you try. My Helix really does not make contact where it should internally and externally without some help, I don't know what else to say with respect to that. If I, or the wife, gives it a push inwards with a finger it gets there but the moment you let go and give couple squeezes it ends up back where it started. I really do think the lower portion of the Helix's stem needs to be rethought just a little. I mean look at the shape of the Helix in that area compared to the MGX, SGX and the maximus. There is not much if any taper there that is going to allow you to draw the device inwards when you start the contractions exercises and I wish I would have spotted that and thought about that important design feature more beforehand.
well it does sound like the problem is anatomical, in which case, i really dont know what to say. it do prefer the 'lower portion' of the mgx (stem and abutment), but my results with the helix have been infinately better than with the mgx so i really cant complain. hope u find your solution...
StevieG,
The Helix is tapered in the lower end of the body of the unit...although perhaps not as much as the MGX. The Helix does not have ribs however, near the base so it requires the user to "hold on" to it a bit more (the Maximus is similar in this regard). Have you been involved with a lot of anal play in the past? Muscle tone of the anal sphincter unquestionably plays a role in the performance of these devices. I see that you have used one of the "knock-off" products out there. Do you have a history with larger devices at all that might have compromised muscle tone a bit? This may be at the opposite end of the spectrum, but do you have hyperplasia of the prostate (enlargement)? (Forgive me for being so direct, but it's hard to be helpful without some background.) If any of these things apply there are some work-arounds that might help.

B Mayfield, being direct is ok with me, you don't know if you don't ask. First answer to one of your questions is no I don't have a ton of experience with back door pleasures and or large devices. Matter of fact my very first post on this forum (Male G Spot newbie saying hello...) pretty much sums up experience 1 & 2 which really got me interested in getting a purpose built prostate massager. Why should my wife have all the fun toys was my logic...lol. Anyway I've clamped down on the Helix to no end, matter of fact to the point where I thought I'd crush it or burst a hemorrhoid so to speak. I have no history of prostate problems and as per my last check up all is well up there. So to add to my Helix experiences the wife and I had the urge to play last night and we spent about an hour working with the Helix to no avail. I mean she got and kept me well aroused, inserted and positioned it for me, kept me relaxed with her soothing hands all over, coached my breathing and contraction exercises etc. It just was not hitting the spot and truthfully it felt more like my doctor's finger up there wiggling around than I cared to continue dealing with so we gave up and set it aside while I took a turn at making her squirm. Later on, after both of us had a bit of a rest, she asked if she could have another try at my spot but this time she suggested we try the Nero or maybe even her G spot vibe if I happened to get uncomfortable with the Nero. Well I tell you guys pretty much from the moment she positioned the Nero I went off on a wild ride and my prostate is still tingling as I type this ! I think I O'd about 12 times and recall her saying holee shit twice !! The noise from our bedroom ended up waking one of the little ones down the hall so we had to stop but I was so spent at that point that finishing off in a traditional sense was not an issue at all. Was just thinking, she's been poking fun at me all day and threatening to get the kids in bed early tonight...is so cool that watching me quiver and spasm is a turn on for her. Anyway I'm thinking that I'm going to take advantage of the Aneros guarantee deal and recoup some of the cost and call it a day. I really can't see the point of going on any further with the Helix when it seems that it's not working for me. I seriously wish it was working, I mean I ordered it first yet got a Nero by fluke...go figure...such is my luck sometimes.
Cheers all and may you all be blessed with a lifetimes supply of super O's !!
This is interesting. So he's saying Helix did nothing, and the Nero worked.
Cause I'm not really having much success with the Helix yet either.
Just reviving this thread.
The previous two posters state that they have had no luck with the Helix. This happened to me. I used it many times and experienced next to nothing so I got rid of it.
In another thread, someone said they had little success with the Helix, but a lot of success with the MGX.
Does anyone else have anything to add in this respect?
Hello bbarlow, 🙂
Sometimes different Aneros models work better at different times of a guy's journey of re-wiring. All of them work without a doubt. I own both of the mentioned models plus a Progasm and advanced Peridise set. With the exception of the Peridise which are only anal stimulation toys, the prostate massager's all work on the same concept. But being different shapes and sizes can produce different variations in sensation. I like owning more than one. Because if one model stops doing much, I experiment with the others until I find one that works well.
