I'm getting ready to buy a prostate massager and am trying to narrow down the choices to the one I'll buy. According to a post by st0rmraven on 4/14, the MGX is 4 1/8" long. Does anyone know its girth or the length and girth of the SGX?

According to the HIH web page, the PS New and PS 3Fin ar both 4" long by 1 inch in girth while the PS 2 is 3.5" by .95.

I get the feeling that both products, which not only look extremely similar, are roughly the same in size, which leads me to wonder which is better. The main difference I have noted between the two sites is their philosophy of use. Whereas the Aneros site is geared towards achieving a super "O" and the associated state of well being, the HIH devices are geared towards achieving improved prostate health. It would appear that the real difference is in the usage, not the device itself. BMayfield and other experienced users -- is my observation correct, or are there other differences of which I should be aware?

Thanks to all who have posted experiences and advice! This is an excellent resource.

Hook,

You are correct sir! These devices are identical (with exception of the PS 3 Fin). The PS New is the same as the MGX, and the SGX is the same as the PS2. Taking advantage of the fact that this device does indeed have dual purposes (as a health aid and an erotic stimulator), the manufacturer, High Island is marketing their products on two different sites. I have both the SGX (PS2) and MGX (PSNEW) models and I would have to say that unless you are extremely sensitive to inserting things anally, the the MGX is the best choice. The SGX is shorter, slightly smaller in girth and as a consequence offers less direct prostate engagement. The PS 3 Fin is more of a prototype device that was generated in the development of the of original MGX. If you want the exact dimensions of each unit, feel free to contact the manufacturer by phone or email, they are friendly and helpful.

Hook,

Saw your post to the "Keys..." thread above where you expressed further concern about the size of the MGX vs. SGX. You also mentioned that you had experimented with a life-sized dildo and found it uncomfortable. Be advised that the size of the Aneros (MGX or SGX) is nowhere near that of a life-sized dildo. Furthermore you should know that the manufacturer's specifications with respect to the girth only apply to the widest part of the Aneros. Unlike a dildo, that is normally fairly uniform in thickness, the Aneros has one wider area near the middle of the body of the unit, and it then tapers down considerably. When then Aneros is fully inserted it is only about 3/8" in thickness (girth). I have never found either units uncomfortable, to the contrary they are both very arousing! Again, I have been orgasmic with both, but overall I prefer the extra reach (better stimulation) that the MGX affords.

Hope this helps,

B Mayfield

Does producing prostatic fluid mean the SGX is making good contact?

Newbie2,

Yes it does, although one can have good contact without producing copious amounts fluid as well.

You can be assured that HIH (Aneros) have taken a lot of trouble and care to detail to ensure that using the MGX or any other device should not cause any problems or be uncomfortable in its use. Providing it is used as directed see "online instructions". I just use the MGX without any pre-thoughts whether its for health or fun. You get the fun and the health aspect is automatic.
I am considering the Helix, due to the extra pressure this will apply to the prostate from a prostate health point of view.
There are no comparisons between dildos and the Aneros.
