Ive been aneros user for 4 years now and I've noticed some issues and i want to know a few things if someone knows;

1. can the aneros cause prostatitis?
2. can the aneros cause the prostate to become numb/damaged permanently?

Really appreciate anyones guidance here...

Thanks

@inhope 99.999999999 (may be more actually) % of prostatitis victims don't know anything about Aneros when they discover their problem.
For your second question, as far as you follow the guidelines and advices provided in this forum or in the wiki and you use your device reasonnably listening to your body reactions, you should not get any permanent damage.

Since using the aneros 4 years ago I've witnessed the flowing:

1. Precum whilst pooing or forcing poo out
2. Occasional ache pain when ejacualting normally, used to be bad in the past but when I used the aneros more frequently it went away, sometimes it comes back when I have a really good orgasm. Much rarer these days, but it started WHEN I first started using the aneros.
3. The aneros stifles orgasms a lot, sometimes inconsistently it will enchance them.

No pain when using the aneros though, usually it's nice feelings or nothing at all, it's never uncomfortable though.

Answer to question #1 - No. To question #2 - No.

If you ever get acute prostatitis (an infection of the prostate gland with bacteria) believe me, you'll know it and you'll promptly be on your way to see your physician for antibiotics. Aneros use won't cause this and in cases of chronic prostatitis (chronic inflammation of the gland that doesn't necessarily involve a bacterial infection) Aneros use may actually be helpful, given the fact that years ago urologists performed manual prostate massage for patients who suffered from this to reduce prostate symptoms and discomfort.

Seeing pre-ejaculate or even semen-like material being released from your urethra while defecating (especially a firm large stool that presses against the prostate on its way out of the rectum) is not abnormal and doesn't necessarily relate to prior Aneros use.

As you point out, one of the benefits of Aneros use is reducing discomfort in the prostate gland whether it's persistent dull aching or it's pain with ejaculation, both of which seem to come with age.
