Can someone show me a picture or
draw me a diagram of the lying on side method? For me I cannot understand it, some say to lie on ones side, say the left side, but then to bend the right leg on top of the left which is straight. This is awkward surely? Doesn't make sense!

also doesn't this inhibit the aneros' movement because your effectively squashing the device between your ass cheeks and also in the anal canal?

I mostly lie on my left side with both legs bent up together e.g. body hips leg bent to 90 deg then knee bent to 90 deg.
The more you bring your knees up to your chest the more pressure the device puts on your prostate. You get to a point that every time you breath in the device moves.
The aneros device sticks out at the rear un-hindered by my ass cheeks.

If you bring both legs up as you describe it puts a pressure on my balls and dick from behind and is a bit of a distraction, its also slightly uncomfortable.

I feel that this also hunders movement of the aneros as well, what device are you referring to? i cant be any of the bigger models as this method stops any movement whatsoever, unless youre referring to the peridise perhaps? i do get movement with that but its definitly at a reduced rate than with any other position...

I own most of the models and they work well. Are you expecting the devices to move alot? They don't

Try placing a cusion between your knees.

I honestly don't pay too much attention to where my legs/knees are when I am on my side. Usually, I'll just turn over to the other side or onto my stomach for variety or if I'm trying to get another feeling. I am rarely on my back.

@goldenboy I thought you had videos online of you using the aneros as a guide for people... but on your back? Why dont you enjoy being on your back any more as you previously do!?

I too find different sensation depending upon how I am laying. If I lay on my right hand side I get a much stronger erection, on my left is quicker to get things started. on by back is my finishing position which allows me to thrash about more.

Sorry about no fotos.. butt, you wouldn't have liked the wrinkles anyway.

First, I like to sometimes switch to @Chestnut 's "fetal" position to ramp up a session.

During my first few years of Prostate tool use I gravitated toward my left side. But then I found my sessions became more 'automatic' after a switch to my right side. That change gained improved access to my nipples, abs, and genitals. That single change improved 'the flow' of my session. Now I place a partner, stuffed animal or bolster pillow to my right. If it's cool I tie or safety-pin a gentle heating pad to the bolster pillow. Any partner is 'encouraged' to generate warmth on his/her own or be available for a strong hug.

So, for most of the mid-sized or smaller toys (SGX-MGX-Helix-Eupho etc) I'm a right-side guy. I've wired my left-nipple (right index finger) to my prostate/ass and my right nip to my frenulum, shaft, pereneum and pubic area.

In retrospect I advise devoting some thought about whether you are 'right brained' or 'left brained.' And, which side is going to minimize the amount of tossing/turning and needless moves that spoil relaxation and interrupt meditation. I didn't do that and it might have slowed my early progress. Perhaps we need some sort of poll to help clarify this topic and improve "session flow."

For 'Right-side sessions" my Right-leg is straight and my left-leg well bent. This helps spread my glutes a bit, improves access to my anal tool, exposes my left nip to my right fingers and frees up my left hand for Male Deer Exercise along my Dan Tien and lower abs. My Left hand is also available for testicle tickling, p-tab flicks or playing with ear-lobes, eye-brows, rib-cage etc. This reduces movement of my right shoulder (it only moves when I need my right-hand fingers on my left nipple).

My Belly/All-Fours position might be helpful to others who experience too much friction between generous Glutes and the abutment arm on bulky tools like the Vice, DeVice, FunFactory Duke and perhaps the Maximus and forthcoming Aneros Trident. It also reduces body sweat as orgasmic energy builds during warm/humid weather. It does require some pre-planning though.

For the larger toys (Max, Progasm & Vice) I like to go "all fours," have my glutes spread and my toes pointed inward. My breathing and vocalization is much cleaner when I'm on all fours. For this position I wear a Cock cage, Speedo, Sports Brief or Jockstrap & Cup to contain my cock and prevent it going after my towel and bed covers. This position is also good if I opt to convert to a Fleshlight/Fleshjack session and end with a Trad-O.

However, Belly position blocks access to my nips. A small investment added a pair of Supple-nips to my toybox. They are a nice accessory to this pose. I've added remote control to my vibe or estim toys. Worthwhile during the session and it makes post-session cleanup easier as lube doesn't get on the electrical stuff.

hth.... rook.
