So a week or ago I went ahead and bought beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter. My original goal was to make a really thick and resistant lube that I could coat the aneros in addition to prelubing with basic water based lube. Now Im wanting somthing homemade out of those ingredients that ill beable to inject or preube because my other concoction is just too thick. Its actualy completely water proof! And if you can't make something injectable with those alone I also have sunflower seed oil at hand so shoot me up with some ideas!

Also, I want it thin but tl where it will dry up fast, it only has to aid the thicker lube.

Thanks,

Tatornator

I was experimenting with my Shea butter/coconut oil blend last week and ended up making a thick liquid version by mistake. It is like thick hand lotion, easily injectable yet viscous enough to apply to the toy.

I was was out of beeswax so I didn't use any in this batch. I started with equal parts Shea and coconut pit and added a splash of avocado oil (gapped to have it on hand) and a splash of distilled water. I estimate the avocado oil proportion to be about 1/10 th of the amount of Shea butter. About the same for water. Both of these are probably optional for the liquid lube.

The trick was that I put the raw Shea butter and coconut oil in sealed plastic bags (separately) and melted them in my Sous vide water bath at 130 degrees F. I intended to melt them and mix them right away but I got distracted and left them in for around 8 hours. After 8 hours at 130, one or both of the key ingredients broke down to the point that when cooled to room temperature, the blended mixture was a viscous liquid. I ended up washing out a bottle of hand lotion and using it as a pump dispenser. I also cleaned out an expired tube of preparation H but cutting the crimped end. The lotion is perfect for the tube/applicator. It also works with a syringe.

The liquid version seems seems to last along time and stays slick. Haven't noticed it getting sticky with use. It is hard to say if it is any less slippery than the nearly solid version because I probably am using more of the liquid version so it is hard to compare.

I suggest you don't use any water. From what I have read water is a problem as it forms an emulsion and this requires all sorts of additives to stop the mix going off. Just stay with the oils and perhaps only mix two at a time. Shea Butter is good, a little bees wax, coconut oil is good too.

Here's an idea. I brought a small ice cube try from bed and bath. I than just melt some coconut oil and than pour into tray. Let it sit for a couple of hours an than it is ready to go.I will insert two cubes, aprox 6ml in, than use a coat of vasalean on the tool of choice, and it is off to the races. By freezing the oil I can insert very easy, takes about five mins to melt.

Well thanks guys! I completely for got I made this post or I would have replied faster.

@DCDC Unfortunately I cant be cooking a lube for 8 hours to try to make that but I truely want to though. A liquid out of those ingrediants is exactly what I need. Also, so If I make a 50/50 ratio shea butter and coconut oil you're saying its easily injectable?

@aneros_user83540 Thats a really good suggestion, its brilliant actualy, ill give it a shot. Though I still want a quick liquid solution I can just whip up on the spot.

Thanks guys I appreciate it!

As far as using the ice cube tray, you make enough for several sessions, than leave in ziplock bag to use as needed. Than just reach into freeze grab what you need and than off to the races.

Natural Jelly formula
1/4 tsp. shea butter (this is optional too, but it adds a certain creaminess to the mixture)
1 tsp. beeswax
3 tblsp. almond oil, olive oil or coconut oil (your choice)

Step 1.) Place all ingredients in the top of a double boiler setup, heat and stir until all ingredients are dissolved.
Step 2.) Remove the mix from heat and stir the ingredients constantly as your petroleum jelly alternative cools and thickens. While still slightly warm, scoop the jelly mixture into a dark glass jar and leave unsealed to cool completely.
Step 3.) Keep your Natural Jelly in a cool, dark place, or in your refrigerator. Use it as you would use commercial petroleum jelly.

You can adjust the viscosity of the mix by increasing/decreasing the oil proportions. The advantage of this mixture over natural oils alone is the increased viscosity due to the presence of the beeswax. The beeswax is the key to insuring good lubricity between you and your Aneros as it creates a micro thin film which holds well to the plastic. I’ve used this mix for my last couple of sessions and have found it to be a very satisfactory natural lubricant.
