Lube question

So much has been written about lube here, use the forum search for lube/lubricant/lubrication and you'll find many threads where the subject is discussed in great detail.

I'll give you this thumbnail, there are methods of working with the water based glycerin containing preparations that can mitigate the purgative effect. If you prefer, there are other alternatives like Boy Butter which have gotten a lot of recommendations around here recently, that work quite well also.

I have used ALL kinds of lube and find that for the cost and quality of use, I now use Albolene. As Brian has mentioned in a previous post, it has been used by the porn industry for years! (Comes in a large 12 oz. jar for about $10 at any drug store... sold as makeup remover in the cosmetics dept.!)

I use this without any pre-lube and a little lasts a LONG time!

I've been using Probe Thick Rich lube with a Lube Shooter. Two syringes seem to work best; one shot starts to feel dry after a half-hour or so. It feels silky smooth at first, but seems to lose that sensation. Recently, I've been using petroleum jelly on the Aneros with the Probe, which seems to make it last longer.

By the way, what is the capacity of the Lube Shooter?

I use Aneros Marksman applied internally and then a little Maximus lube on the Aneros itself. Don't have any problems with it drying out even if the session lasts for several hours.

I did use Doc Johnson's anal lube but it's very messy and stains, not like the water based Marksman/Maximus combination.

I have done fine with plain old K-Y jelly from Wal Mart! Plenty slippery enough and it lasts long as well.
