I am new to the Aneros.... I had just received mine today. But after reading through this forum, most people's experiences were sounding quite familiar.

I have been into meditating and studying hindu philosophy since my late teens. One late evening I was having the most intense concentrated meditation I've ever had. My breathing became shallow and fast on its own, and random muscles in my body started to twitch. Soon after I felt a wave of tingly energy go from my toes to my head... it felt like every atom in my being was being individually permeated. And then I experienced a hot energy shoot from the base of my spine into my head... my eyes were closed but it felt like my consciousness had grown to encompass an area many times larger. I can not describe the the bliss that rocked through me in a way that can be intellectually understood... Only that it was like a physical, mental, spirtual orgasm times a billion. After an extremely long minute feeling this, I knew I could not withstand that much energy much longer, and I returned my consciousness to a normal state. I couldn't help but cry afterwards after experiencing such a beautiful thing. I was definitely in an afterglow for an entire week afterwards, just feeling very tranquil and very cosmic.. And funny thing was... If I contracted my sphincter, I would get a quit shot of that same blissful energy run through my body.

My first use of the Aneros had some slight waves... I could definitely feel that energy starting to build up... and it was all too familiar. Honestly I don't think I could feel it touching my prostate. Is that normal? I could feel it push up against my perineum which after awhile I confused that sensation with something more internal.

I guess I'd like to see if anybody has tried the meditation/breathing/contraction exercise without having this device in them, and be able to experience a super-o... which sounds like what in hinduism is called kundalini. 🙂

Auztin,

Welcome! I am indeed familiar with the experience that you're referring to...I think it's known as awakening the kundalini if I'm not mistaken. I myself have something akin to this fairly regularly without the use of the Aneros, using mental focus, rhythmic breathing and anal contractions alone. I must admit though that these unassisted sessions of mine are not as intense as the one that you related (at least not yet). I posted about this originally in my Keys to the Backdoor Revisited thread (above, see Is the Aneros the Only Way to Fly). In addition to myself there have been other forum contributors who have written about this as well. See comments from thread author ASH on page 2. I've encouraged Aneros users to practice without the Aneros as a way of honing their mental focus and as an alternate route of exploration. Although I've had no background in Kundalini yoga or tantric practices I have been a practicioner of both TM and self hypnosis which I have found very helpful in this pursuit.

Please keeps us apprised of your progress with the Aneros and with your unassisted techniques.

Regards,

B Mayfield

Hey, you guys best be careful with that Kundalini shit. I've read quite a bit about it on the net as I'm looking for a form of yoga to get into. I guess some people have gone nuts from awakening that shit. I don't understand it. I've read about it a lot and can't find one good thing about it. Maybee I'm just looking in the wrong places. My wife got me upset today. I told her she better watch out, caus I'll awake the Kundalini, LOL. Sounds quite intriguing, but quite phucking dangerous if you as me, unless your guided by an experienced Guru. Which in Massachusetts, is probably non-existant.

Hi,

I,m just have to tell you to be very careful about practicing meditation and reaching the state of Kundalini without preparation. These practices should not be done in ignorance and definetely not just for fun. The impact of this practice can be very dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. I can not stress enough how dangerous it can be. I don't know if you will read this but if you do, I just want you to be careful. I talk from experience, if you let this practice get too serious you could develop a real problem. Sorry to talk so harshly about this but I really feel you should know; and just to answer your question, yes I know exactly what you felt, it is a beautiful thing but you have to educate yourself first. Then prepare yourself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I know that this might sound like a load of crap to some people but I really am serious.

P.S. If you read this and would like to talk more on it I'll keep my eye on these forums..... TAKE CARE!

After years of journey with aneros and exploring rewiring process I have undergone, I can say that my own experience with all physical and psychical changes is definitely resembling to the symptoms which are typical for awakening of kundalini.
Signs are prevailingly positive so far and I feel myself healthier. Few months ago Khechari Mudra has happened to me. I am curious what tomorrow brings. 60/100
Regards

I don't get why so many people are saying that the kundalini awakening is dangerous. I thought it was only dangerous if you resist it and cause some energy pathways to block it (so the energy accumulates at one place and can't escape). Can someone explain why it's dangerous and what you should be careful of? Different sources tell different things...

I don't get it either. These people come here, tell us how dangerous it is, never say why & leave it at that. Lets have some details! The whole thing is about energy surely? There are various ways of waking this energy, the aneros being just one. What makes it more dangerous than years of meditation?

What makes it more dangerous than years of meditation? LOL, I like it!
I see aneros as shortcut to awakening of energy comparing to the years of meditation in some of yoga asanas. But aneros tribe shouldn't take a claimant for superO since there were individuals in anerosless ancient times which could reach states identical to superO. I am following different yoga web sites because I can find in enormous traditional literature explanation and answers to rewiring process states I am going thru. It is my impression that yoga tribe is not keen on awakening sexual energy and libido respectively. On the way to the enlightenment excessive sexual energy should be calmed down?
One of the yoga forum follower was joking out of the fact that he hasn't felt down there nothing for months and according to certain yoga teaching interpretation he should be defenitely in deep nirvana?
Awakening kundalini, what you should be careful of?
Manifestation of awakening kundalini can vary in intensitiy of awaked energy and in physical and psychical symptoms as well.
Gopi's Krishna autobiography Kundalini: The Evolutionary Energy in Man is description of extreme in intensity pleasent and unpleasent experiences of kundalini awakening.
For majority of people which will get opportunity to become in their life cognizant of this mystical energy, the experience ought to be mainly positive, particularly if they will be able to continue living their ordinary life in a manner as it was before awakening. By the way it is piece of advice of Mr. Gopi.
In my opinion also superO can be very dangerous for psychological unbalanced person and paradoxicaly it can ruin his social life solely with bliss.
However we explorers have got familiar with truth as it is found in Buthole Surfers "Sweat Loaf "lyrics: .. the funny thing about regret is that it's better to regret something you have done than to regret something that you haven't done...

Thats very interesting. Reminds me a bit of some of the J.J. Semple stuff I've read. I can relate to it in more than one way anyway. So I have to ask, is a kundalini awakening & a super O the same thing?

Remarkable story, @theplaything. She didn't have the mindset to understand and cooperate with her subtle energies. I've been turned off by some of the tantric mumbo jumbo too but try to understand the things that I've experienced like these energies and the chakras. The Chinese system seems much more balanced and congenial to me. It doesn't strive for the powerful explosion of energy up one's spine but for the cultivation of energy for one's health, enlightenment and defense. It has it's own mumbo jumbo which I try to understand but pick and choose what works for me after giving the traditional approach a fair hearing. The woman in the article was not prepared energetically or emotionally for the kundalini experience and was playing with fire IMO. I hope she finds what she says she's looking for at the end of her story.

I was going to read the article until I noticed it was on salon.com, they tend to live in a fantasy world without any basis in reality, had to pass on that one!

I trust the author as I've read a few of her books. Where the article has been posted is insignificant to me.

There needs to be more scientific research in to the whole kundalini thing.
