KSMO value?

Sorry to create a repeat thread, but times have changed since previous threads on the subject and while 10 years ago the price for the KSMO package was $70 (according to a post), now it is $270 (240 euros, when I search in France: 200 euros + 40 euros extra for "value-added tax", converted to dollars!!!)...

So I am hesitating to buy KSMO. I have been curious about it since the the first time I saw it years ago on the internet. Unfortunately, back then (when it was way cheaper), in my pre-aneros days, I was turned off by it because the site has all appearances of a scam (promises of nirvana, one-time payment, customer reviews but no review from a major publication...). Having heard its praises sung here, and having experienced multiple non-ejaculatory orgasms, I now know that it is real. But the price has gone up. I understand that Jack has got to live, but damn, that's a lot of money for a pamphlet, mp3s, and a phone call.

I am a professional musician, and I understand putting value on one's work is important. But I also play all the time for free, because I am much more happy to enlighten people than I am to earn money. One person telling me I touched them with my music is better than being a wallflower playing for a thousand dollars and no one listening... So my view of the world and what makes me happy makes me wonder why has he put a prohibitive price on his product.  Wouldn't he want his product to get out into the world and make more people happy? I have told many friends about KSMO as an alternative to aneros, because no one wants to put things up their butt. They don't want to shell out 240 euros either. Even well-off people I have told about it have shaken their heads when they heard the price tag.

I have no problem achieving multiple orgasms, with or without toys, on the drop of a dime, anywhere one my body, with a partner, without, space and time warping orgasms, blissful orgasms... I even have orgasms by making and sustaining sounds (an idea I got after lurking on the KSMO forum, and being aware of my hyper-sensitivity to sounds resonating in my body, causing me to break out in goosebumps when I sing and play music sometimes).. and all this thanks to a free community here and the inexpensive but quality toys produced by aneros.  Enough that I am 100% satisfied by my sex life. My partner is multi-orgasmic as well, and she regularly has so many orgasms during sex that we have to stop because she is crying or she is going to pass out.  So while I don't doubt that I will get plenty of orgasms from KSMO, bringing the relative price per orgasm down to next to nothing, it is not like my girlfriend and I are in desperate need of another way of orgasmic pleasure.

but...

KSMO exists... and I don't know precisely what it is. And THAT bugs me. Am I missing out on something? Is this something that I should get as a present for my girlfriend and me? I have been frustrated the last year and a half since discovering aneros, not knowing how to help female partners achieve the same sort of non-genital orgasms as well as kegel-based orgasms (other than nipple orgasms, which a couple partners have had occasionally). Is this something that could make it possible? Is it ethical to spread the knowledge one has to other people once you buy Jack's method? That is, I would buy one KSMO for my girlfriend and myself (is that even allowed??), but what if I wanted to introduce it to a friend? People lend books to friends.  Most authors make vey little money in their lifetime off individual books. Why should this one author do what no other author does, that is, instead of creating more content over his lifetime, he raises the price of his one creation (that I am aware of)? The whole thing is paradoxical to me.

There it is. My quarantine rambling for the day. Talk to me, aneros forum. Whatcha got?

OK I'll bite ! I'm writing all this with no sarcasm intended, since we don't have emoticons, just want to say I'm 100% serious here.

First, I don't have any experience with the KSMO method, like you I saw some info online, some forum post and some articles. I think there was an interview with Jack also ? So that's the extent of my knowledge.

From a price standpoint ( it would be over 300$ in Canada !), we can agree that if it works the price per hour or price per orgasm comes close to zero. But I'm also pretty sure that if it was only 5$ you would buy 2 packages right now for both of you, and maybe more to gift your friends. Now I don't think we can put a value on the phone coaching. Maybe you really "click" with Jack and that call is of immense value, maybe you don't really connect with him and it's close to worthless.

So putting the price aside, and with what you tell us about your sex life and your results, and also about developing your own method based on sound, I think that you're past the point where it would be of use to YOU. It's quite possible that you would listen to it and go "hey, I already do all that !" Maybe your method is even better in some way than Jack's, who''s to say without trying both ?

Now IF the KSMO method can get your girlfriend to experience non-sexual orgasms, it's think it's worth the price and would be a great gift. Maybe you can adapt your own method and try teaching that to your partner ? If it fails and KSMO works, then the value comes from the teaching style being more adapted to her, so in reality you're paying for lessons and not the material itself, which makes sense (I think) ?

First, I don't have any experience with the * method either, but I bite too, because it all reminds me too much of endless praisings elsewhere, whether of the one and only work out technique or the one and only technique to earn lots of money. And that's why I sympathise with @Zentai's views.

Reading your original post the term SNAKE OIL crossed my mind, a deep-seated tradition in the U.S.

I guess, * works, definitely as cash cow for the patent holder.

(*This expensive 4-letter-word is a trademark I don't dare to mention without permission.)

NASA Spent Millions on a Pen Able to Write in Space.

But their crafty Soviet counterparts, so the story goes, simply handed cosmonauts grease pencils.*

Perhaps you do already own a grease pencil and now want a ballpen? Only my 2 cts here. 😉

Cheers, Mart

Hey guys I agree with a lot of the sentiment here.  I do think that the $200 price is a bit much but from what I understand it includes membership in the KSMO forum and personal attention from Jack Johnston: it seems he's very committed to making sure that for your money you're actually getting success.  From my research into it I think that the $70 version was a part of a tiered price tag that got you the basic seminar, and you could pay for more later if you wanted more training exercises.  I wish there was still a tiered pricing because it would be much easier to swallow!  It's possible that Jack has his hands full with things already and that the price will keep going up to manage demand, I don't know.

In browsing the KSMO forum (thankfully that's free, I've been told that you have to pay to become a member but I've never tried) I found that forum members get a discount code to buy Aneros products!  So there's some kind of partnership there (or used to be); I've never heard it mentioned here but perhaps some of the older posters can tell us if there is/was an Aneros customer discount that can be used to buy KSMO?  If not maybe there should be!

For what it's worth I've tried the key sound sessions and it does seem to get a rise out of me, though I haven't done it much, Anerossessions are getting good and have distracted me.  So I wouldn't say this is a scam, KSMO seems to be as real as other forms of Aless.  I wasn't going to spring for the $200 package though, I found an older used copy on cassette which I transferred to my computer: Male Multiple Orgasms Step-by-step, 3rd Ed (dated 1996, MSRP $15...how times change).  It's funny because I bought it and then when it was already in the mail someone else was selling the 4th Ed. on CD for a bit more, but I thought one was enough.  Don't ask me to give you a copy, I don't approve of pirating and will block anyone that tries to get it from me for free.  The point though is that if you're patient and look in the right places used copies will pop up from time to time so it's possible to get your feet wet for much less.  I'm enough of a believer from what I've experienced to try the full program when I have the money...though if I'd thought about it before I spent my $1200 stimulus...oh well.

@divine_o fellow musician here, if you have any voice training/choir experience then I think it shouldn't be too hard for you vocalize the key sound correctly, it doesn't seem that different than singing but does demand precise articulation from what I can figure out.

Another thought: I've spent $220 (plus shipping) on Aneros products over the last few years so technically KSMO is cheaper!

I did bite...back when it was $70.  There were three of us from the Aneros forum that talked each other into joining.  As far as I know, only one (Skywalker from Australia) was able to achieve orgasm with Jack's KSMO method.  In my last communication with Skywalker, he said that time and life was interfering with his commitment and that he needed to get back into it.

For your money, you receive the CD collection and you send a recording of one of your sessions to Jack for analysis.  He responds back with suggestions to improve, such as slowing the tempo, deepening your voice, holding out the trailing sigh, etc.  You then work with Jack to fine tune your method.  In addition, he hosts frequent on-line chats where you can communicate with Jack and other users.

Zental is right, divine_oblivion.  If you are as orgasmic as you describe, you won't see any benefit from purchasing the KSMO package.  Like the Aneros, the KSMO product is merely training wheels to get you to the point you are already achieving.  IMO, I think you'd be disappointed....unless you want to join so you can crow of your achievements to the other customers!! (insert wry Smiley emoticon here)

Many men have found the KSMO protocol highly complimentary to their Aneros practice. KSMO is another pathway toward MMO's and for some it may be a more effective path than the Aneros. You may find further information about Jack Johnston's "Key Sound Multiple Orgasm" protocol (KSMO) at his website! For a few threads which discuss this topic please see KSMO questions, KSMO The Male multiple Orgasms & Should I buy the KSMO CD?. There are numerous other threads mentioning the KSMO protocol as well, you could try a search to find some of them.

I purchased the KSMO progam about 12 years ago and have been an intermittent participating member in the KSMO forum since then. @divine_oblivion, I was not aware of the current price until you just mentioned it. Determining the 'value' of such a purchase is a very subjective judgement. When I was working regularly, making a steady income, the price seemed reasonable to me at the time. Given that I'm now retired and on a fixed income (at a much reduced rate), I, too, would question the value of such a purchase. However, for men with your level of orgasmic experience, knowledge and skills, the KSMO program may be of limited value as @Zentai noted. For men just beginning their sensual/sexual journey of learning about alternate paths to orgasmic pleasure, the KSMO program could be a revelation.

Obviously, one's financial resources influence the 'value' of any purchase and the KSMO program is a unique consumer product/service needing personal evaluation like any other product/service one buys for their lifestyle. Just as there are men who derive little pleasure from their use of Aneros products, there are men who will derive little pleasure from the KSMO program. Unfortunately, it is impossible for an individual to know this until after they've actually purchased the product and used it, this is just another one of life's paradoxes.

@Faith-Manages, I don't know if Jack Johnston is an Aneros affiliate or not but if he is offering a discount code for Aneros purchases I am unaware of it. I do like your idea for there to be a symbiotic purchasing agreement between the two business entities as they certainly compliment each other in practice.

Good Vibes to You!

...

That's pretty much the bottom line. For the same price as the KSMO package, a guy can buy the Explorer pack that's advertised at the top of the forum, enough lube for a year, two new fluffy towels to put on the bed and have some money left over for a relaxation album of their choice.

But on the other hand, the KSMO claim is pretty much A-Less Super-Os on demand.

And @divine_o is still stuck knowing that KSMO exists, and what if, what if...

I don't think that we can solve this one. *confused emoji*

Thank you all for your well-thought responses. Unfortunately that leaves me somewhat on the fence still. Not because I doubt the power of the product, because I have read enough about it to know that it isn't in fact "snake oil," as @sowithoutaneros aptly names it (Sie können also besser Englisch als ich denn? insert winkey face). Everyone seems to say that where I am at, I won't necessarily glean extra pleasure from it. But that leaves the question of whether my partner would learn a lot from it. Like I said she is multi-orgasmic, but not from her toes to her nose. This could be the key to help her (and future partners).

Then again comes the question of "value." Yes @rumel I agree that value is relative to income. Actually, business was going so well that 6 months ago I might have bought the product anyways. Now I am just living on monthly government stipends until it is possible to play concerts again (the French govt pays performing artists/technicians when they don't have work), so the price doesn't make sense compared to my budget.

So I think I will do the following: having inferred ideas of what this technique is through various posts here and elsewhere, and having my experience of re-wiring, I will try to invent it as I go. That is, I will try and help my partner learn how to harness her sexual pleasure in a way where she can work herself into an orgasmic state through simple touching of various body parts. I am not sure how it will work, but I imagine it will be something along the lines of feeling her genitals via pelvic clenching, and re-wiring various body parts to those sensations.  I have a very open-minded girlfriend, and she is interested in trying. If it doesn't work, then that is fine (aka, I won't put pressure on her, and I will make sure SHE wants it for HER, not just to please me). And maybe business will pick up in the meantime, or I will find a cheap second-hand copy online (I hadn't thought of that, thanks for the idea @faith-manages )... If our experience is positive, I will let you all know how we proceeded.

For those who believe the * method could be THE QUICK PATH they are searching for, let's blow some content from its package information sheet, ...

How long does it take to learn to enjoy multiple orgasms using this method?
For most people who practice and who receive “fine-tuning” help from the free Live Forum, the free Live Coaching Chats, the occasional one-to-one coaching when indicated, and the other resources via the * website, this process of opening all the way to multi-orgasmic intensity of these automatic responses (“*”) typically takes from a few weeks to several months for healthy adults, regardless of gender. Nevertheless, some learn the skill in less time, while others may require more time, especially if they are living with a disability and/or there remain unresolved emotional issues which seem to be interfering with further opening to erotic pleasure. In these instances, the time-frame usually depends on the pace at which they are able to recover from the old emotional wounds by using appropriate counseling assistance.

Sounds so familiar, reminds me of something I've read elsewhere - here in the Wiki or so? 😉

@sowithoutaneros

Yeaaaaah, it also stirs up vague memories for me, what is this mysterious Wiki you speak of ?*wink*.

I also read something very similar in a tantra book, I'm pretty sure it was "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Tantric Sex" (I'm not kidding, look it up!) I learned some stuff in there even though I'm just partially idiotic... and well there was that same statement about unresolved emotional issues preventing you from progressing. It might be true but it's also a good way for the author to basically say "Well if it doesn't work it's not my fault, talk to your therapist."

Not saying that (*) doesn't work, it probably does, but I also don't believe there are any shortcuts to the Super-o. It will take "x" time for you to rewire, and that's pretty much it...

Ugh no I never bought it.  I was able to put together pieces of how it works thanks to lurking on the other forum, but never got down to practicing it.  I didn't feel like my sexuality was missing anything, so it didn't bother me.  I should try again though, and I should try to get my partner to do it as well!
