Just curious about the effect of the Peridise on your overall lower bowel tract health. It seems to me that if your'e inducing peristaltic activity down there and increasing blood flow to the area that it could only benefit the surrounding muscles and tissues. I've had 2 great sessions in the last few days with plenty of involuntary contractions and movement.
Today the muscles down there felt very much like the rest of my body does after a workout at the gym. Probably gonna take a day or two off until the next session, for the same reason that you don't work out everyday. I also found that I had a very health bowel movement this evening, wondered if the recent activities may have had some bearing on that.
Sorry if thats TMI...
I'd say it should be very beneficial, just recently i got my aneros to move more rapidly by itself through focusing on the peristalsis mechanism.
I have problems with constipation and pooped once every 2 - 3 days. But observing the peristalsis i found that i was using the wrong muscles to poop, as well i learned that i was constricting the mechanism and trapping the poop inside me by straining instead of relaxing at the toilet. Since then i've been going 3+ times a day and feel like a million bucks because of it! 😀 Tru story.
So imo even though i have no source the training of the peristalsis muscles is very beneficial, even stellar to lower digestive tract health since it's cured my constipation that I’ve had for years.
I guess you can't argue with results. You always hear about how frequent sex (and by extension, orgasms) are beneficial in so many ways to a persons overall health. It shouldn't be a stretch to assume that the use of devices like these would be any less beneficial. Not to mention the fact that peristaltic movement is a natural function of the body on its own and that promoting increased blood flow to ANY part of the body will promote healthy tissue maintenance.
I'm curious about how to get these contractions to start in the first place. I've been using the Peridise for awhile and, while I enjoy using it, don't think I've been able to get any involuntary contractions to actually start. Maybe my muscles down there are not very well developed?
Using the Aneros massagers on an about couple of times a week basis for the past three years or so has greatly reduced any tendency towards constipation and almost completely stopped my tendency towards having hemorrhoid and small anal fissure flareups. I hear the same thing from others so there's gotta be something to it.
@musicmaker86 - You do know about the parent company of Aneros, High Island Health, markets these devices for help with hemorrhoids?
