Imagine a "clock" over the image, with 12 o'clock at the top, next, 1, 2...etc. 6 at the bottom, etc.
If you look at this pic of the male system (prostate about 10/11 o'clock, anal canal about 12 o'clock and bending off into the to 1 o'clock direction before bending back..), isn't it possible to insert at a 12, or 1 o'clock angle and just be inserting the Aneros up the anal canal? Wouldn't it make more sense to aim for the 10/11 o'clock position? Wouldn't this shorten the rewiring journey by actually making definate contact with the prostate?
I mean, contracting and breathing won't do much if you have overshot the prostate and the Aneros is pointing parallel to and past the prostate, right? There is no magnetic strip to draw the Aneros tip to the prostate, nor any "bowling lane-like" guide-railings to help the Aneros into that specific direction.
I know, I know, this is all taking away from what I should be doing: not expecting anything. Yes. But I want to be sure that I will have something to expect SOMEDAY.

Another thing: If you find that you hit the prostate with say, 3 inches of Aneros inserted, do you insert the remaining one inch? But then it will hang out and likely be expelled during contractions.
Thanks.

MyTurn,
(remember your previous thread ”Is the prostate puncturable?”)
This image from the Aneros HOME page more accurately depicts the real situation.
The tip of the Aneros (while inside the rectum) pushes against the prostate gland. The walls of the rectum are very flexible and elastic, they will easily stretch to accommodate the shape of the Aneros. When the anal sphincter muscles are contracted, the Aneros with its P-tab arm are pushed up into the prostate and thus massages it. The P-tab also acts as an anchor/fulcrum/pivot point. When the contraction takes place the Aneros will rotate slightly about the center point of the P-tab thus pushing the tip of the Aneros forward into the prostate for added massage action.
Upon insertion of your Aneros the orientation you speak of occurs automatically and naturally. The Aneros are already designed with a forward canted shape to be directed at the prostate, the P-tab assures correct orientation and alignment. As has already been stated multiple times elsewhere, pinpoint accuracy of prostate engagement is NOT necessary. It does NOT require much force or pressure to stimulate the prostate sufficiently to generate the P-Wave phenomenon. In fact, as you become more experienced with your massager you will find it requires less and less pressure to generate the P-waves, to the point you will be able to generate them without the Aneros present at all.
I'm sorry and thank you for your answer. I have some obsessional thinking (haven't had an OCD-diagnosis before/yet), so I do hammer a point into the ground once I get hold of one. That's another reason why I'm so desperate and impatient for this to work fully!
I need 100% certainty on things, and even then, I find holes in them. I just needed to make sure one last time that I am even in the vicinity of the prostate, but you say I am, so hopefully, that's all I need to begin my journey.
Hopefully tonight is m..ahh, no, best not finish that sentence. I just hope for some pleasure tonight, in whatever form that may be.
MyTurn-
It is very fascinating to have been participating in this forum for many years, and to read all the posts.
We *all* reveal much about ourselves.
In your case, yes, i think we can lovingly say that we are aware of your OCD-ish thinking. believe me you are not the first, and many have it to one extent or another. it is very important that you be aware of it. that is presumably a first step to taming it.
for you, the aneros may be a particular challenge. the reason is exactly that over-thinking is possibly the worst impediment. for some guys, it hits their body immediately in a physical way, like yanking on their cocks, that just pushes them into pleasure. but for most, you included, it is an interaction between the physical and mental.
here is my suggestion: direct your OCD focus onto *your breathing*. on youtube, look up "tantric breathing." put all you energy into concentrating on that.
we can ASSURE you that the aneros is inside you just fine *even if you cannot feel it*. the feeling, when you feel it, will be unlike anything you anticipated. it is a bodily function you have not yet experienced. and you cannot force it.
