Illness and Aless: Better safe than sorry

Hi guys,

On Thanksgiving Day just past, I visited a dear friend in the hospital. She is nearly ninety and is suffering the beginning stages of dementia. We are trying to get her out of the hospital and into assisted living.

I arrived around luncheon. I had known that Maisie hadn't been eating her hospital meals. So that day, the server brought Maisie a plate of turkey with all the trimmings. She told me that she had no appetite that day. So I asked the nursing staff for permission to eat her meal. With permission granted, I ate it. It was delicious. Unfortunately late afternoon, I became violently ill. First I had fits of vomiting, followed by bouts of diarrhea. Hence my bowels experienced a complete purging. It was only on Monday following that I began to feel well again.

During the actual episode of sickness, I experienced very strong Aless which may have intensified the nausea and diarrhea. The Aless also gave me a painful Charlie horse. I had to suspend my Aneros sessions for a good week. Better safe than sorry!

@bigglansdc, sorry about your friend and your illness. Maybe you saved her discomfort or worse by eating her meal rather than her. Hospitals have a lot of pathogens around that can contaminate food if not carefully handled. Diarrhea and aneros don't mix 🙂

@euphemistic, I believe now that hospital staff was trying to finish Maisie off with this meal. It was probably tainted on purpose. I am glad I took the fall even though I was sick for a couple days.
