How important is the device pivoting because of the p-tab?

I understand that the device relies on the P-tab to pivot in order to reach the prostate better, and I was wondering how important that is?

With the helix syn the p-tab only barely touched the skin, so now I'm trying the MGX for a while because that one always made firmer contact with my perineum.

You can add a rubber bulb from a medicine dropper or one of those silicon fingertip protectors that people use when they do craft with hot glue. You use can also use both (they slip into one another). Just put them over the p-tab and they will add just enough length and give some padding. You can also fold a single square of toilet paper in 4 and put it under the tab. Works for me ! Some people bend the tab with heat, I'm pretty sure someone will chime in with their method, I never tried it so can't comment...

@zentai I ought to try that at some point, padding the p-tab on the helix syn to see if that does anything for me.  Then again, I got pretty far all of a sudden with just the syn before things revved back down these past few days. In any case, I'll probably be using the mgx for a few sessions and might try some other models I have. In the end though, I think the biggest factor to success might be just keep practicing. Things'll wake back up eventually, perhaps even better than before.

Truly the exact contact point or having firm contact with the tab never was that  important to me but a lot of users swear up and down that it's vital to their success. It seems to be a very individual thing but i think most people want solid contact right on the "sweet spot" of the perineum. Your approach is the right one in my opinion, trying different things but not jumping around too much either. Trust the process and it will all work out !

I mostly use padding and soft spacers to adjust the pivot point or "angle of attack", but if you need firm contact it may hinder more than it helps. So many variables...

Edited to add : I only have experience with the classics, other models like the syn have more flexible tabs I believe so that's yet another thing to think about.

I have the Eupho and the Helix Trident, they are my favorites especially the tabs. Also have the Maximus that has a very firm tab that I don't prefer. If you insert your preferred tool until those tabs rest against your perineum and your butt crack, I always put a dab of Albolene on my perineum area to have it glide more easily. But if you let the tool do it's work hitting your P spot it will glide back and forth with a little clenching of your ass and push out a little and then contract again... you can make those tabs work almost like a symphony! It drives you insane teasing your perineum!

I don't usually feel sensations much from trying to stimulate perineum, though I do occasionally try to massage there anyway. I'm just wondering if the better contact with the p-tab on the mgx will help angle the device better when contracting PC muscles.

Then again, sometimes I have to wonder how much the pleasurable sensations come from using the device regularly and how much comes from just paying close attention to my body. I do suspect the device helps though, as the easiest areas to get the sensations are those that I have been giving physical attention, namely the anus, prostate, and nipples.

The Helix Syn Trident and original Syn didn't do much for me originally and I also sought out the MGX for the same reason but I found its contact a bit too aggressive, plus the Helix just tends to work better for me.  Even when I inserted the Helix today it doesn't have a whole lot of initial contact but I've found that it's more to do with relaxation, and once I'm relaxed enough the Helix slides in deeper and the tabs make contact.  Also when I relax enough the MGX now isn't digging into me as much either.  I'm one of those people that clamps down hard, dunnoif you're the same but it's something to keep in mind.

Relaxation is important, but I keep having the problem of getting drowsy during sessions lol.

I tend to sometimes start with the Helix and switch to the Eupho. The Eupho is just a tad longer, not much but just enough to tease my p spot alittle bit more. It's fun experimenting with the different Aneros!
