At times prostate health practices and pleasure practices seem to be conflicting. For example semen retention vs use it or lose it theory. Ridding the prostate of excess fluids vs retaining fluids. Seems to me like a percentage of Aneros users are older men with fizzling sex lives at home, Therefore the need to find a alternative pleasure source to replace sex with a partner. At the same time we are a group concerned about prostate health. How do you balance the health benefits of prostate massage with the sensual benefits of prostate massage. Should we separate sessions and use the aneros one time for prostate hands free massage utilizing contractions to massage the prostate which is what the aneros was originally intended for to milk and release fluids even with ejaculation? Then have separate sessions for pleasure seeking only using the do nothing approach and letting go for pleasure. Can this approach work? Are they conflicting with each other? Many guys only have time to have limited aneros sessions and I feel combine the two methods by masturbating or ejaculating at the end of a session for the need to release because it's been a while. Is this detrimental to success and gains in the re wiring process? Obviously I am in this situation and was wondering if others feel the same way and how you deal with it.
Hi @sfs, as I think, you already are always combining both. Perhaps ejaculating too often might slow down the pace of your journey, but I would see a health benefit in every session, even with Aless.
Tantra teachers give different advice about ejaculation to men concerning their age. Younger men in their twenties should ejaculate around once a week, with every decade the time lag should grow up to three weeks in your fifties or no more at all from your sixties.
As there also are different fluids to milk, milking your prostate must not mean to ejaculate. If you've trained your prostate milking you will be able to drain your different reservoirs even without ejaculating. One time it will only be precum, the next session you might spill some semen or have a ruined orgasm without common ejaculation.
Not taking it all too clinical or structured, having fun, being playful, nosy and adventurous to examin my hidden sexuality, but first of all allowing myself mistakes, helped me most and made my journey. And as a result this gave me today's pleasant forenoon experience of an Eupho Syn session ending with an awesome ejaculation, that might be called handsfree, as far as I stopped any stimulation some seconds before squirting my (estimated) 3-weeks-load hitting even my chest.
Can this approach work?
After all it seems to be everything okay with my prostate so far, 😎
@sfs Your timing of this question is uncanny! I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing this morning after I did a "therapeutic" session with my HIH 950 which I bought primarily for prostate health and BPH relief. It actually took me 45 minutes with this "therapeutic" session: 15 minutes of total relaxation followed by 30 very slow cycles of contractions and releases. Toward the end, I felt like I was going to ejaculate but didn't. I did release a good amount of fluid.
I now own 4 other Aneros massagers primarily for pleasure. So, how should I "balance" their use? I'm thinking that I probably should "schedule" 950 sessions a few times a week (on a schedule) and anything else I want for pleasure (working in the time based on my arousal). I still maintain my practices of semen retention and male chastity and wouldn't want to give either of them up. I find that practicing both (with limited ejaculations) really ramps up everything sexual and I find the feeling exhilarating!
I first tried using Aneros products after reading about prostate orgasms and associated pleasures. I never once considered that it might help with a slight problem I had with my waterworks. But unwittingly I seem to have stumbled upon something and the problem has gone away. It can only be from using the massagers regularly. Win win situation for me.
At times prostate health practices and pleasure practices seem to be conflicting.
I think you are creating an artificial rift which does not really exist. The fact a healthful activity may also bring pleasure or that a pleasurable activity may also be healthy just seems to me to be one of those rare benevolent convergences of nature.
How do you balance the health benefits of prostate massage with the sensual benefits of prostate massage.
Regardless of your start point, be it pleasure or health purposes, the activity itself (Anerosessions) serves both functions, there is no inherent conflict. The balance is achieved long term over many sessions, some sessions may seem more pleasurable while other sessions may be more focused on a good massage. I think this just naturally works itself out when you start listening to the whispers from your prostate.
Should we separate sessions and use the aneros one time for prostate hands free massage utilizing contractions to massage the prostate which is what the aneros was originally intended for to milk and release fluids even with ejaculation? Then have separate sessions for pleasure seeking only using the do nothing approach and letting go for pleasure?
IMHO, not necessarily, You may separate the focus of your sessions if you so choose or you may combine them, there are really no rules in this regard, it is up to you to choose.
Can this approach work?
Yes, separating or combining definitive aspects of your practice technique will work.
Are they conflicting with each other?
IMHO, NO !
Many guys only have time to have limited aneros sessions and I feel combine the two methods by masturbating or ejaculating at the end of a session for the need to release because it's been a while. Is this detrimental to success and gains in the re wiring process?
OK, I am of the opinion that penile based ejaculatory orgasms while the Aneros is in situ do create a rewiring conflict and possibly will retard the brain/prostate stimulation pathways we are trying to create in rewiring. As far as I know there are no studies to substantiate this speculation and I am only relying on my intuition in this respect.
Good Vibes to You !
@rumel Thanks for your insightful input on this important discussion! It certainly has helped me (and many others, I trust) sort-out the difference between therapeutic massage and pleasurable massage; in reality, they are one and the same!
@rumel Thank You for the response! I was thinking along those lines, and most times I don't really think about what the purpose of the session will be and try to enjoy. I have been resisting the urge to finish a pleasure session with penile stimulation and ejaculation and I still feel very satisfied. My sessions have improved as a result. I am getting better at the process of milking so I think I am on the right path. Its nice to be able to share and bounce off your thoughts on the forum with all of you.
@sfs,@SOwithoutAneros,@goldenboy,@rumel: Thanks for this thread and your posts. I came to Aneros, like sfs, as an over-middle-ager with waning "prowess" and some prostate issues. Over the 5+ years, I have been fortunate to have been re-wired, but nearly all my sessions are entirely quiet, with little voluntary contractions, Kegel or otherwise. And, when I have tried active contractions, I have a less intense session. And my "productive" rides (regarding any fluid production) are not consistent--and not related to the intensity of the pleasure. Having read your post, sfs, I think that I shall try to have different sorts of sessions, even though the quiet, almost motionless rides are my "goto" technique (for both practical and personal reasons). I shall give this a try for a few weeks and...report back! Cheers!
Is there a correlation between the amount of fluid released and the health benefit. It seems for me that even sessions with the same pleasure levels produce different amounts of fluid. Does it mean that the ones that produced more, had a greater heath benefit to the prostate, or is just a matter of other factors(diet, hydration, time since last ejaculation)?
I began using the Aneros in early June 2012 to help me overcome erectile dysfunction problems and lack of sexual interest. In late June/early July of that year, I began experiencing my first P-waves, chairgasms, and Aless. Getting Tempo in late 2013 revolutionized my Aneros sessions. Tempo propelled me into a much higher orbit of Aneros experience by helping me to relax and let go. Tempo helped me in my Aneros journey to my eventual breakthrough in Super-O's and MMO's in mid September 2016. Now all my sessions are both highly therapeutic and pleasurable which spills over to amazing Aless!
