I've never been able to locate my sweet spot using the techniques described (poking at my perineum while slightly aroused). I've tried a couple of times, as recently as this morning. I poke around but never seem to get the tingling sensation I'm supposed to be looking for. I even tried the kneeling technique without success. Given how much progress I've been making, I've not been worried about it. But, I'm now wondering if I should really make sure that the p-tab is in the right place. I've not had what I would consider to be a super-o with the aneros, so I'm thinking that the placement of the p-tab isn't quite right.
A few questions:
-When I'm poking, how much pressure is required? Is it just a firm press? Or, do I need to get deeper?
-Can the sweet spot be anywhere between my scrotum and anus? I know it's supposed to be along the ridge, but can it be anywhere along this ridge? And, how far to the left or right can it be?
-Is it likely that the p-tab is set at the right "up/down" distance? In other words, do I need to only worry about right/left?
-Is it easier to search for the p-stop with the aneros inserted (e.g. in the middle of a session). If so, any advice on how to do this?
Any other advice would be appreciated.
dtmsmith,
I wouldn't worry too much about your specific "sweet spot", I've never found mine but I keep searching for it on occasion. 🙂 I've poked all around this area with my finger pressing lightly, moderately and even firmly enough to cause discomfort, all to no avail. I have pretty much determined the area of most sensitivity is about an inch in diameter located approximately mid point between my scrotum and anus.
I think the most important thing is to understand the whole perineum area is a nerve intense zone and the P-tab of your Aneros will stimulate this area to create the sensory feedback loop necessary to drive arousal higher.
OK, maybe I won't worry about it :-). Thanks!
I seem to feel better just a little left of the ridge, 1/16" to 1/8".
I think you should get enough pressure to feel good but not so much that it feels like the tab is 'digging in' or hurting you.
Try feeling around with your finger for a round area that runs under the ridge and see where it seems to be most sensitive and how much pressure feels the best. Once you find the best area that way you can make any adjustments to the p-tab that might be necessary. I have adjusted the p-tab on most of my models slightly using a heat gun (carefully).
Just exploring and finding what works best has been a very enjoyable part of the experience for me.
Hey, dtmsmith,
I'm with rumel on this one. And you're not the first to question this. I find there is no "sweet spot" with any of my Aneros models.
HOWEVER, for the purposes of non-aneros play, the perineum is THE spot for sensitivity development and activity. So while it doesn't seem to be a factor for me WITH my Aneros, it is absolutely essential to significant arousal and pleasant sensations, for me, without it.
Remember also, that when aroused, our internal penis "shaft" extends almost all the way to the anus. Next time you're erect, slowly massage your "lower" penis shaft and the entire perineum area. I'll bet you can get yourself going pretty good with a little practice. I know I can. Massage with two fingers, one on each side of the penis shaft, pressing gently. That area is directly above your prostate. Once you get the hang of it, try it when you're not erect, and you'll find that it can offer some really great sensations with or without the aneros inserted.
Good luck, and don't give this any more time other than what you can engender with your own explorations.
