Although I'm just about to turn 19, i've been contemplating buying an Aneros for about four years (that's right since I was 14) and I'm going to take the plunge. I will be buying an Aneros within the next two weeks or so and need the communities advice.
Question #1 - Obviously is what model to buy, I'm thinking helix, but i'm a pretty big guy (6'3" or so)
Question #2 - How long should it take before I start seeing results, I know I'll need to rewire, but a rough estimate would be nice.
Now here come the embarrassing questions...
Question #3 - Best place to hide it from Mom - I go to college in town and live with my Mom, how should I hide the Aneros, and the Higginson enema from mom, I'm thinking bottom of my bottom drawer.
Question #4 - Best way to keep the noise down - I'll most likely have my sessions around 9 pm but Mom might hear all of the moanin' and groanin' i'm thinkin socks in the mouth or pillow, which would be hard since I hear the best O's are had on your back.
Thanks in advance -
Matt

Hi Voltaire,
Welcome to the Forum,
You asked - "Question #1 - Obviously is what model to buy, I'm thinking helix, but i'm a pretty big guy (6'3" or so)" In regard to choosing a first Aneros model, I recommend that you first read the following : Selection Guide from the Aneros HOME page, Choosing a Model from the WIKI and “Which model is best for new users?” from the Community Polls Forum.
Typically, I recommend either the Helix or MGX as a first model. If you choose the MGX and purchase it through the Aneros website you can get a money back guarantee.
If you read the Insertion paragraph in the WIKI and follow those suggestions you should have no problems inserting either model.
You asked - "Question #2 - How long should it take before I start seeing results, I know I'll need to rewire, but a rough estimate would be nice." It is impossible to predict, everyone seems to react differently, you could have a Super-O the first time out of the box or you might go months to even get a mini-O. Estimates are meaningless, it is best to consider this a learning adventure with no timeline or destination.
You asked - "Question #3 - Best place to hide it from Mom..." You'll have to be creative here, perhaps get yourself a zippered shaving kit that has an inner zippered bag where you can stash your toy. You may not need the Higginson syringe at all, but if you do, again you'll have to be creative there as well.
You asked - "Question #4 - Best way to keep the noise down..." Pillows, towels, foam rubber blocks have all been effectively used as silencers. Be careful about putting anything in your mouth lest you have a tendency to swallow it or get it get caught and choke you.
The best orgasms are not necessarily to be had on one's back, everyone has preferred positions that seem to be more effective for them than other positions, but even this may change as you become more experienced. Body positions which weren't effective before can become very effective and new favorites.
Welcome Voltaire!
After lurking for four years, you have decided this may be the best of all possible worlds at planet Aneros! As to the right model to start, let me offer another consideration. Like you I am tall, over 6'4". I have an MGX, Helix and Eupho.
Since you have been thinking about this for 4 years, if you have done any anal exploration or any regular use of anything else in such explorations, that could suggest the better model for you to begin with aneros. If you haven't, perhaps you can ignore the following.
I began prostate massage when I was 14 or 15. In my later years decades later, but before aneros, I used small plastic test-tube like objects or my finger. My rectal muscle was trained to contract to a relatively narrow diameter. When I began and continued for the first year with the MGX, it was snug at first but had the mobility necessary for success. When I got the Sublime Set of Helix and Eupho, the Helix was sort of OK but not as mobile for me, whereas the Eupho is fabulous!!! Small diameter can be beautiful! I believe that any previous anal play habits may precondition our responses somewhat. They seem to have with me.
All of us have different journeys because we have all had different experiences and different variations in our anatomy. It is fascinating to share all of this with others here in the forum and to have your continuing story always available as you tell it in your blog. For example another young man, Dr. Unk, has just begun and is blogging. You might find it valuable to begin your blog now too.
You are beginning while your neurological development may produce some very interesting results. Who knows? My youthful experiences are recounted in my blog: http://www.aneros.com/displayentry.php?id=205 The key thing is be open, not be "working" to expectations, relax deeply, be patient and listen for the early tiny voices of the energies softly calling to see if you are ready...
all the best on your journey Matt
