Sounds like a great first time experience. There should be no refractory period. As long as you are not experiencing pain or discomfort you can have another session whenever you want.

The selection of a lube is a personal thing. You may need to "try" several to determine which one(s) work best for you. Don't think that you have to "settle" for a lube. You should be able to find the right one for you: one that is comfortable, non-irritating and safe. It also should allow natural movement of the Aneros with no drying-out for longer sessions. That burning sensation is common with lubes containing glycerin. You will notice that those lubes can also cause a "purging" effect afterwards that can be awkward. @parsifal Congrats... you should feel really really good about your first time experience. Just like @goldenboy , you may want to try different ones to find what works best for you. Personally, for over 3 years I have been using Coconut Oil & Shea Butter. I warm the coconut oil in microwave till just liquid, then pour into mini ice cube tray. Refrigerate and pop out and keep in cool place like a basement. I found this to be the perfect size and amount so that there was not too much extra that just would get wasted in the toilet afterwards. I coat the Aneros with the Shea butter for insertion.

In regards to time period before another session, you will find that your body will give you signs on that like feeling sore inside when you have over done it. As time goes on, your sessions will be able to get longer. For me, I have found an ideal wait time 36 hours is minimum. But, I also have an occasional day where I can't get enough and end up with 3 sessions in a day. For me, factors that will contribute to good sessions are a good nights sleep, higher amounts fish oil 4000mg 2x day like Omega-3 EPA, multi vitamin and overall healthy eating and exercise.

Thanks everyone, I will definitely experiment with some other lubes. I did actually try it again last night and had intense prostate orgasms. However, when I removed the aneros and tried to go to sleep I continued to have about four more intense orgasms. It was extremely enjoyable, but it also did actually worry me a little bit because I felt like I wasn't in control. Has anyone else had this experience? I should have probably mentioned that I smoked a little pot before this session, so perhaps that was mostly responsible for the continuing orgasms?
