Do you usually keep your eyes open or shut during a session?
I was wondering what effect either way has on a session.
I usually keep them closed.
Although sometimes my eye muscles get tense, in which case I'll leave them open, which alleviates that.
I don't know why my eye muscles are getting involved at all, it's a bit annoying, but they tend to roll or go slightly cross-eyed (or something) in response to a really good p-wave. If I forget to release that tension (or instinctively try to "use" it to push things along), it gets uncomfortable. Just one of the bad habits I have to keep tabs on in a session.
I notice myself being more impatient when I've got my eyes open. Where as having eyes closed allows things to become more timeless, I can tune things out and lose myself more.
Most definitely...eyes closed...gets me where I want to be...a deeper state of relaxation with less distractions!
I also don't have a pillow under my head and choose to lay flat on the bed, arms at my side and as still as possible so my extremities don't rub against anything to distract my mind.
That's how I build up to the height of excitement I can get in a session because once I'm there, the contractions and each of the body movements are orgasmic by themselves, so I just let them happen!

With my eyes closed it takes me further to my destination to utopia. Its awesome.
Mostly eyes closed. It is fun to see what's happening to my body, though. So, I do open them occasionally.

My eyes are how they want to be... They involuntarily close, involuntarily open, go off focus, roll back... If they don't do it involuntarily then proves I am not in the mood at all.
Absolutely have to agree with Canacan. I do not "focus" on my eyes, sorry for the pun. Just relax relax relax and just let your body float and react to the stimulation. I only focus on where the Aneros is touching me inside, everything else is gray and unfocused...

The experience is like being Tasered by your Prostate. The shocks course through every nerve and muscle in your body, everything is collateral damage, well not damage, but you know what I mean!
closed for me also.
I get distinct visual clues that precede each phase of my 'build.' Those 'signposts' or 'stepping stones' are very reassuring and are easier to 'see' with my eyes closed
Eyes closed always when being pegged
