Hi,
Having had my first ever DRE (*) the other week, I've noticed last night in the chat that with Helix Syn and MGX (didn't try the other 4 devices I have) I don't get the same "weird, like I want to back away from the finger" feeling that I had with the doc giving me a DRE.
Is this normal?
Maybe the Aneros devices are too long and hitting my bladder?
I keep having to go to the toilet - need to pee feelings can be ignored up to a certain time but then I do have to empty my bladder, and I don't pee much, and it's very clear pee. Went 2-3 times in about 45 mins. I recounted how much I drank that day and Bruce in chat said that it was less than he had drunk.
But it does not feel like the DRE.
Is there something wrong with me or my devices?
* - Doc says no prostate enlargement, no unusual bumps or swelling of prostate, feels normal. Urine test came back normal.
Sounds like you are experiencing anal pleasure which is very normal with the finger inserted maybe an inch or so! That can be very enjoyable as you can experience waves, twitching, and orgasms in that area which is different from prostate stimulation! So enjoy both areas!
I dont understand. How did you jump to that conclusion? The need to pre is not pleasurable.
Maybe it's not supposed to feel like a DRE?
First, my sample sizes on this topic are minimal for DREs but much larger for sensual prostate manipulation. And I've always been sober for DREs. All of my DREs have been done with a smooth glove rather than the variety of fingers, toys, etc. that frequent sensually purposed encounters with family, friends and occasionally strangers. I walk into the stark and cold environment of my Uro's office with concerns for my health and the hope for an "up-check." This later mindset is a total "horniness killer." OTOH, lubing myself and an Aneros toy is guaranteed to trigger my erotic passions.
Over the years, I've only had DREs from a handful of Docs and they pretty much feel the same. The doc wants to check out each lobe of the prostate so there's distinct lateral probing and I swear, he or she succeeds in reaching around to the front (anterior) surface of my prostate. That entails some stretching and twisting of my inside canals, sphincters and the rectal wall. My docs are usually done with the job in less than 15 seconds (large prostate with but a few small anomalies.) My Uro then usually says something like, "... enlargement to about 55 grams, more enlargement in the right lateral lobe than in the medial or left."
None of this is intended to deliver erotic pleasure and I've never felt him/her touch the sensory nerve endings or the nerve bundle that we exploit during an Aneros session or that a professional massage artist would stimulate.
Short answer don't expect an experienced and ethical Medical professional to do much that would feel like an Aneros or other sex toy.
@rook Great insight on this subject. I know that the uro's have the necessary training and experience to "examine" our prostates. We are always taught not to be too "rough" on our own lest we cause some painful damage. The DREs that I have had seemed much more thorough than anything I could ever do with my finger. And all of this examination is done without any visual observation!
I doubt there's anything to see through the large intestine wall. That said, the last DRE I had was one to remember. I wish I could reproduce it at home. I almost came on the stirrup chair I was leaning over.
A DRE is very different from any prostate device I have ever experienced. Even a prostate massage or milking by my wife is very, very different than any "toy". Apples and oranges.
chastityisland, that's interesting. Well the recent experience with the MGX may have been a bit closer to the DRE feeling. Time will tell.
