Notwithstanding best practice, I was finding no joy.
I had been using the MGX daily for around two weeks. It had been a frustrating and fruitless exercise until this weekend. I was on the verge of giving up and consigning my purchase to the rubbish bin when I had, what was for me, a small revelation.
I had had difficulty experiencing that "wanting to pee" sensation after insertion. Irrespective of my body postion, there seemed to be no discernible pressure evident on the prostate. Achieving a relaxed state wasn't an issue, it was the lack of any physical sensation that was troubling.
I decided that the problem may be in the handle. I understand it's a factory setting but horses for courses. I used a plastic welding gun from my business and carefully heated the base of the handle enough to stand it up a further twenty degrees or so away from the main body. Saturday night I went through my prep ritual. When ready, I lubed the MGX and butt, got fetal and inserted it. Immediately I felt pressure on my bladder, creating the urge to pee. Terrific!!! Encouraged by this I started measured diaphragmatic breathing. I made sure that my penis wasn't touching anything. I began light sphincter contractions and straight away noticed a warm feeling in the lower abdomen. It was when I held a contraction at around 30% of full strength that all hell broke loose.
The MGX simply took over. My pelvis began pushing forward involuntarily. There was a light tickling sensation in the sphincter and I could feel my penis becoming rigid. The feeling strengthened and quickly spread to my upper body. I lay helpless as the convulsions started in earnest. It scared the bejesus out of me as I was out of control and could barely breathe. I tried to gather myself and started taking small breaths as the violent shaking continued for probably a minute. I'm fifty three this year and have never felt anything like it. The convulsions subsided and just as I was gathering my thoughts and trying to come to terms with what had just happened, I was hit by another wave. This time the vibrations began in the penis itself. What followed can only be described as a seizure. I could feel my self pumping and wanted to scream out, but resisted mightily. I thought I was going to black out. I had totally lost control of my body. The MGX was working with its own air supply. I received numerous waves and tremours at differing intesities for the next hour and a half. The time seemed to fly as I entered a different state on consciousness.
I don't know if I experienced the "super O" or not. I'm not experienced enough to recognize the sensation. What I do know is that the handle mod definitely caused things to happen for me.
When I thought I couldn't handle anymore I removed the MGX and got off the bed to shower. I was completely spent and removing the towel from the bed I realized there were patches of sticky precum all over it. I was totally spent and relaxed beyond description.
In the shower, I let the warm water wash over me I began reflecting on what had just happened. Unbelievably and without any manual stimulation, I developed an intense hard on. Strangely it looked bigger than normal and started to ache and pulse all at the same time. It was as if I was experiencing after shocks. I began stroking myself and the feeling was exquisite. It wasn't long before my whole body started to vibrate. My legs started to give way and my pelvis began convulsing uncontrollably. I exploded and couldn't believe, one the intensity and two, the volume. It took me all my time to remain standing. It was the classic knee trembler.
Having read with interest the comments made re individual techniques and experiences, I thought this may be of benefit to some.
It's great to read other people's comments and in conjunction with the online instructions it has allowed me to get to where I am after a short time. I've learned to let the MGX do the job. For me, recognizing the subtle tinglings and faint tremours has been tricky. Relaxation and patience seem to be the key. Being a bit creative didn't hurt either. I was not able to try my luck last night but probably will tonight.

Just to be clear, you modified your MGX so that the handle that presses into your perinium (the area between your balls and anus) is further AWAY from the main shaft than before?
Hmmm.. Gotta try that sometimes! 🙂

I think it was the curly bit that he modified, I removed it 100% and
it was a major improvment.

Yep, I also removed it on the MGX classic, Helix and SGX, and it improves them a lot. Basically the effect (for me) is that it feels like the Aneros disappears and your body is just doing involuntary contractions on its own. If you can let go and let your body take over, its a very powerful and pleasurable experience!

Are we clear on whether he moved the abutment or the curly handle? I am not clear on this.

I think its the curly bit, not the abutment tab. I removed the curly handle entirely on my MGX classic, Helix, and SGX, with great mobility improvements.

Hi FleshJoe,
I modified the handle, not the abutment tab. I stood the handle up a bit more, by around 20 degrees. I'm not expert enough yet to play around with the tab. Tilting the handle allowed the MGX to insert at a different angle. Hope this explains it.

There a specialized heat gun for welding PVC. You may mind that they're used extensively in the plastics industry.

I also modified the abutment tab a bit so it presses better into my perinium pressure point. I'm much more hesitant to recommend that, because everyone's individual pressure point is located at slightly different locations, so your results may vary. The way I did it was first to determine EXACTLY where the best results occur with pressing the dull end of a pencil into various locations, and then modifying the tab slowly to get closer to that point. Its a laborious and slow process, not for everyone. Besides, if the abutment tab is moved too close to the central shaft, you may end up reducing the insert's mobility, so even though it presses better into the perinium, it won't give you the result you want.
YMMV on this one.

Hey, Flesh, I took the curly handle off last night and tried it. OH MY GOD, WOW. It's about the third time using my MGX, so I'm still trying to relax and go with the flow with the thing, but it wasn't in for more than just a few minutes before I really started feeling it. I wasn't relaxed enough for the MGX to really do its thing, but will try to be the next time I try it. Thanks for the suggestion of taking the handle off.

Where would one find a plastic welding gun? I would like to try this modification because the handle catches sometimes on my gluteal region.

I took a drywall saw to my MGX last night then finished up with a little sandpaper. The process was pretty painless and did not take long at all. While I did not have a HUGE difference in the session I had right after that, it did allow me to sit up in bed and do some contractions that way. I believe that it was a good move on my part to get rid of it. Hopefully, it will spark something..........anything.

Thanks for the reply. I do not want to remove the handle completely. I enjoy putting a vibe bullet into the handle after a session. This allows me to ejaculate hands free. If I could safely move the handle 20 degrees enough to keep it from rubbing on my glutes and still be able to transmit vibration is what I would like. This would be the best of both worlds. Thanks for the suggestion.

What about this: attach the egg to a screw mount in the base?
I hope I can describe this: snip off the handle, then bore a hole into the axis of the aneros using a Dremel Ie, lengthwise into the plastic. It needn't be long. Then, put in a small tapped thread metal part into the hole? You can get them in small sizes at hobbiest model shops. Basically, it's a rather deep lug nut.

Now you affix the egg to the post and screw it into place as needed.

You can get a heat gun at your local home warehouse. They are used for furniture stripping, wallpaper stripping and/or electrical heat shrink tubing. I found one at homedepot.com with a search for "heat gun".

There was a post on 7/8/05 from King Koopa who offered to host videos for us. I dont believe that anyone took him up on it. I would think that maybe he would be willing to host pictures as well. I have been wondering why the threads about trouble with videos has been continuing with that offer on the table.
