lve had some interesting times with it but ld like to make it more slippery as l have a few large tubs of the stuff, l see allot of ppl stating the virgin stuff which l havent got..

lm assuming cornflour would make it somewhat thicker, but what could l use to make it a little more slippery? with normal household items you are likely to find in most homes?

You could blend it with a lighter oil perhaps.

the stuff l have does seem pretty light tbh which is why lm contemplating ways to make it slightly thicker.

Haven't used coconut oil in a while...but during the long stretch that I did, I inserted the cooled stuff (so it went in then quickly melted) and coated the aneros with vaseline. It was a very good combo, should get some to use again.

For what it is worth, we are getting health information that coconut oil is not as beneficial to ingest as was promoted. The research suggests that it builds up fat around the heart. - well - it does so in mice! I don't know if the oil is absorbed into the body when used as a lube. There is a post somewhere with the composition of the various oils we use as lubes.

You are correct about the possible negative effects of using coconut oil. Coconut oil is the highest in saturated fat content when compared to these other frequently mentioned natural oils used for lubrication purposes : Coconut (12g), Shea butter (6.45g), Soybean (2g), Olive (2g), Walnut (1,2) & Almond (1g).

You may wish to read a bit more about these oils and their relative fat content in this post. Personally, I use almond oil in the 'Natural Jelly' compound I employ.

@rumel, thank you for the post reference. I use sweet almond oil in my Natural Jelly mix and I am very happy with it. I also use Shea Butter from time to time.

For our friends from "foreign countries" ...

It looks like rumel's numbers are those depicted on the standard U.S. nutritional content label. The "serving size" for edible oils is one standard Tablespoon (about 15 ml.)

Most of the oils mentioned above weigh 14 grams per Tablespoon. Crisco is lighter at 12 gm per tablespoon due to en-trained air and it's new formulation has eliminated transfats. The label on any edible oil/fat will break down the fat content into Transfats (bad) and other categories as well and a good book on nutrition will further clarify the good fats from the bad ones. Many diet gurus would have us shun the tropical oils like Palm and Coconut.

It may be more important to consider how much of these oils we actually absorb via the lining of the colon and rectum. A generous amount of fiber in the diet will sweep much of the oil out of the body after it's done it's job of pleasure enhancement.

I have heard from somewhere that coconut oil, though high in saturated fat, its a "good" saturated fat. @isvara, is this his opinion? It doesnt say if the research found out it was bad. I say this cause if you read the article i have, people have been told since the 60's that saturated fats are bad for us, but studies prove otherwise with coconut oil. Alot of people "say" things just to benefit themselves or a group of people. Here in america we are told GMO foods are safe, yet the rest of the world refuses such malarky, so whats the truth? who knows.

@ineverknew, I can't find his research information so it may be more anti self-help rather than a proper double blind study. "If you ask the right question you get the statistic result you want"
