I'm currently pretty far along my Aneros journey. Every session, I can have multiple Super-Os and I can now have various dry-Os centered around different areas (nipples, perineum, testicles, anus, etc.). Further, my sexual performance without the Aneros has changed quite a bit too. I have far more ejaculatory control, can maintain erections for much longer, and am just more in-tune with my body and more responsive to my partners body as well. I am not at a point where I can have dry-Os or Super-Os without the Aneros inserted, but I'd say I'm pretty far along and would consider myself "re-wired."
Now let's say I was to stop using the Aneros for an extended amount of time, let's say 3-6 months. Would I eventually become "un-wired"? Or is what I'm experiencing permanent? Does anyone here that considers themselves "re-wired" have any personal experience (how long did you stop using the Aneros, were the benefits maintained, and if not how long before you became "un-wired')?
is there a reason behind your question? Do you plan on quitting your aneros use? Probably noone has answered your question cause of the simple reason, why would you want to stop something so pleasureable? lol
Sure.. Just stop and poop narurally.. The body stops pretty fast. Remember that rewiring and all that stuff is NOT natural! Pooping is....
If you stop using it for, say, two weeks, you'd stop having those feelings when not in session. However, after start doing the sessions again, your body kind of remember where you were left at, in one or two sessions.
The unused muscles will atrophe, just like any other muscle that is not regularly utilized; the knowledge of how to do it should considerably shorten the re-learning curve, unless you've forgotten something important.
As someone who has been doing aneros for years, I can say that the unwiring does not occur even after months of non-use. It may go dormant for a while, but it comes right back.

Or is what I'm experiencing permanent?IMHO, the short answer is "NO" you wouldn't become "un-wired". The term "rewired" as used on this Forum is essentially using the brain's neuroplasticity to establish new synaptic connections as a result of experiential learning. Despite assertions to the contrary, this is a very natural phenomenon for human beings, humans are highly adaptive animals who have learned to use their brain to modify their own behaviors which in turn modifies their own brains.
There are certainly situations in which an individual can lose a previously learned behavior, such as through traumatic brain injury, disease or stroke, but a healthy brain will retain the information for a considerable length of time. It is true the longer one goes without making use of the synaptic connections originally created the greater the difficulty in recalling the retained information - the "use it or lose it" syndrome - but those connections can be reinforced anew. If we take the example of learning to ride a bicycle, once you've learned the proper techniques (rewired yourself), the information is never lost, even if you haven't ridden a bike in years you will remember how to do so again. You may be rusty and even fall at first but you are not learning from scratch, you will have retained a "sense memory" of what it feels like and how to do it again. @imadeit, @Badger & @hula have this essentially correct.
Good Vibes to You !

I suppose it is possible for one to become "unwired" if one leaves aside an Aneros practice for a long time or shows no interest whatsoever in Anerosing.
However, most humans, and certainly males, are "hardwired" for sexual expression and activity. Just a memory or suggestion of sex gets most guys rearing for sex!
As for myself, I have been trying to get rid of a bad head cold since last weekend. It even gave me some episodes of diarrhea and a sore back several days ago. I had to stay away from my Aneros guys.
But earlier this morning around sunrise, both my body and psyche were anticipating an Aneros session. (I usually have my sessions first thing in the morning when I am freshest). When I got my Aneros team ready, I got sexually aroused. I especially got horny when I got my Helix Syn ready for action!
