So I've got some really developed PC muscles, and I also know how to do anal contractions along with the lower ab contractions (I'm not sure what it's called when you push out and tighten the lower abs).

I began with the helix and after many sessions that weren't really bringing anything new, I bought a progasm. So far after 3 sessions with the progasm, I'm still not having any luck. I've tried many different positions. I've done contractions and breathing. I've done nothing (a technique apparently) and I'm not really experiencing any sensations.

The two problems I'm having at the moment are getting the involuntary anal contractions and finding my "sweet spot".

If I flex my PC muscle and anal contraction and hold it, eventually it will get weak and I'll have muscle spasms. But I don't believe it's an anal contraction, nor is it involuntary.

I also cannot find my "sweet spot". I've searched everywhere. It's not to be found.

P.S: The only things I've noticed so far are tingling sensations in my feet, a slight tickle in my lower stomach, and I can feel the thing moving in and out when I breathe. Nothing pleasurable or new.

**I've looked at all the guides on to stay calm, relax, and enjoy the ride without trying to force anything. And I'm doing all of that to no avail.

Also to be noted, I've propped myself up with a pillow, I've been really turned on I've tried many different positions, and I've used lube.

No success.

how long have you been using aneros? Give us a description of your recent use and how long, this will make it a little easier for advice.

I've been doing this for about a month or two now. No breakthroughs.

My sessions are usually atleast an hour long.

I've already read every piece of information, including this one, long ago. I've followed all of the advice.

I know the frustration 87098. It was about 5 months before I could "feel" it touching anything inside and another 3 to 4 months after that before my first O came. I accomplished the most relaxing and slow deep breathing about 5 to 10 minutes with it in, then holding gentle PC contractions like you're cutting off urine flow with your bladder sphincter, not pulling in with your anus, for about a minute at the time relaxing a while in between all the while lightly tickling my nipples.

Pretty soon little quivering feelings at the anus area started and slowly rising warm feelings deep in my pelvis began to come and over a period of having sessions about three times a week for a couple months my first O came. Then with further practice I got the O's coming more consistently and intensely. Feels really good once you get them coming and helps the urine flow and sex life with my wife greatly.

One may hear yet not listen,
One may look yet not see,
One may read yet not understand,
One may follow yet still be lost.

If you've read and followed all of the advice offered through these forum posts and found nothing of value to advance your learning then perhaps you are not yet ready for the Aneros journey. The fact is, for a small percentage of men, use of Aneros massagers does not produce the expected results of increased bodily pleasures. There may be physical anomalies which preclude some men from ever enjoying these wonderful little devices, why this is so has yet to be scientifically studied, perhaps someday it will be. However, there are numerous psychological ...Obstacles to Progress new users often contend with, it might behoove you to review some of these to identify a topic which might be blocking your progress.

I suspect, as others have mentioned above, it is a matter of experiencing unmet expectations and a prostate which has not yet been fully awakened which are causing you consternation. Hearing, looking, reading and following are only the actions we perform, it is from the listening, seeing, understanding and feeling that we derive the pleasure.
Good Vibes to You !

FWIW: I don't have the anal involuntaries, and I am not sure where my sweet spot is. I have been in partnership with Aneros for 15 months. I get nice feelings and I seem to be progressing slowly along a slower path. It took me quite a while to get the lube sorted out. The more I relax I am the better are the sensations. I can largely manage the mind chatter now through meditation skills. For a while I chased the big stuff but it only got me frustrated. It took me 3 months of daily use until I sensed a pressure response from my prostate. I found the smaller SGX very good. Pressure is still the basic sensation but it is increasing bit by bit - until - I wait and try to lower my expectations.

@rumel wise words. you really are a word smith well said.

@aneros_users87098 If you masturbate with the helix in and ejaculate do you feel it rubbing inside then? The movement the helix does as you ejaculate is what we are aiming for but it will not be anywere near as dramatic. The movements will be so subtle when you get the hang of it but the feeling you get will be intense.
Like slimjim said keep practicing every few nights for around 5 months and then see where you are.
Think it took about that long for me too to get any real joy out of it. But after that things start to pickup real quickly.
Park the progasm for 12 months a focus just on the helix. The progasm is like trying to ride a 10 speed bike while you are a toddler!
The helix will get you there you just have to be determined and put in the hard yards for about 6 months.

@isvara sad to hear its taking so long. Sometimes people are just slow learners but the point is they are learning slowly still! Quitters get no where fast! Well done!Sounds like you need to practice holding your contractions.
First at 100% for as long as possible then try 80% and so on. If you are like me I can only hold it for a few seconds and it starts to slide away. If you practice for say a hour you will get very tired. Mayne do this every 2nd session this strenghtens your pc muscles. When they get tired they will begin to flutter as you try to hold the contraction. This is a involuntary and with practice will develop into your anus just involuntarily twitch non stop for long periods. This is what you need to aim for.

Baby steps everyone reading.... I always although looking for the big O would set myself small goal along the way so I could actually achieve them and not become disheartened. After all 6 months can be a long time. 15 month wow! well done.
Maybe checkout the aneros milestones list from the wiki so you can see just how much you have learned. So you know what to focus on but it sounds like you are trying to learn the right thing for the moment.
Keep up the good work.

@braveneworld, thank you for your comments. My post was really directed towards the originating post. I forgot to mark it as such. But yes, it is taking a bit of time but I have had many health benefits along the way and I am generally content with my progress. It will be interesting to see how it develops. I will however have PC contracting sessions, as you suggest, to see if it will go the next step. At my age I have to be alert to too much orgasmic strain on my heart - as it was the heart stress in my pre-Aneros ejaculation that lead me to Aneros. Since then it has been good so I am alive! and happy!
Again thank you.
