after reading some blogs on the success this can have for some I have to ask this question again. I always thought vibration was bad, a distraction.... But apparently not...?

https://community.aneros.com/blogs/chris-journey/

Im a small guy, around 5ft 4in i feel like this would tear by asshole up something fierce, but I've always been intrigued by it.

aside from that rather remarkable series of stories, i find the reviews on this product to be of concern. Many report the vibrator to stop working after 2 uses or so....? anyone have this care to weigh in?

EDIT:

It seems that this device could be bad for those not rewired, seems my question is answered!

Hey there inhope. While it looks like you're already read at least some of my blog, I can try to answer any questions you have about the Vice. Just the quick, usual caveat.....all of this is my experience and/or opinion and may not necessarily work out the same for you.

As you may have already read, I am 6ft 2in and am not new to anal play, so it didn't take long for me to get used to the Vice. That said, I feel that it is probably about as large a device as I could easily insert and comfortably use....at least at the moment. On a couple of occasions, during my early longer sessions, I did feel like a was getting a bit worn out by it, though I haven't felt that in the last few weeks. I, unfortunately, do not have any advice for you on how to progress to the Vice, as I have not had to do so myself.

I've had the Vice for nearly 2 months now, using it an average of ~4 times a week for roughly 1 1/2 hours per session with the vibrator active. In that time, I have not seen any degradation in the ability of the vibrator. One thing to note is that the model of vibrator that shipped with the Vice has changed, with the current models all shipping with the Muze vibrator (which itself is sold separately below). It is possible that the reviews you have read dealt with the Vice models that shipped with the older vibrator. For the model I purchased (which is with the Muze), I absolutely no complaints about the quality of the vibrator or the massager itself.

I think it's important to mention that battery quality plays a real big part here. I originally used name brand alkaline batteries and they would last about 3 sessions before needing to be replaced. I then tried cheap dollar store alkaline batteries, which weren't nearly as powerful and only lasted about 45 minutes each. I now use rechargeable (Eneloop brand) batteries. They are nearly as powerful as the name-brand alkalines and they typically last 1 session before needing to be recharged. I sometimes do need to replace the battery mid-session (during longer sessions), which is surprisingly easy without having to take out the Vice.

As for the vibrator affecting the rewiring process, for me that is still up in the air. Personally, I believe the Vice has been vital to my progression as I don't feel I would be nearly as far along with one of the traditional Aneros devices. But I also feel like I would be better served long-term by eventually migrating to a non-vibrating model, since the length of Vice sessions is going to be limited due to the vibrator itself (things will eventually get numb down there). I haven't written to my blog in a bit, but I have had some recent non-vibrator success with the Helix Syn, which likely would have not yet been possible without the headstart the Vice has given me.

In the end, I feel the Vice is absolutely wonderful and have no regrets on my decision to purchase it. It does things to me that I didn't think were possible and has paved the way to what I am hoping are greater successes in the future.

Chris

Wherever you purchase the Vice, it should tell you how many different vibration settings it has. The Muze has 9. I don't recall how many the older vibrator had, but it was not 9.

I purchased the vice shortly after it was announced, so I would say I have the older vibrator and I think mine has 5 different vibrations

Sorry @inhope, just noticed this now.

Yup, the vibrator that came with my Vice has three vibration patterns each at three different strengths, for a total of 9 settings. It is the same settings as described on the Aneros Muze web page.

I have the Muze with mine and it is not very loud at all. Especially when it is inserted.

So one vote quiet and one vote loud. Can anyone break the tie? Are there any videos or audio showing someone using the Vice with the vibrator on?
