Aneros device use and how you do your sessions

Just wanting a little discussion on what you do in your sessions, it will help others out as well myself I'm sure:

1. how do you use your device, cotractions, do nothing (please be as detailed as possible, what are you legs doing/body positions etc)
2. Do you use porn?
3. How long do you have sessions for?
4. What sort of lube works best for you?

1. I lube.. Very different the amount and type.
2. Sometimes.. Often a bit distracting.
3. From 1hr to 12hrs
4. Differs
5. I try not to. I do it when I want it and have the time.

Just remember that @Alex_xxx is just another individual. What works for him may well not work for you, just as it wouldn't necessarily work for me.

Furthermore, what might work fine on one occasion is not guaranteed to work on another.

Try and remember that the Aneros Wiki is probably the best guide to how to use Aneros devices but it is NOT an instruction manual! Come to that, none of the advice that other members of this Forum are offering you, should be taken as strict instructions which, if not followed, would result in failure.

I also gain the impression that, because you have had a little mild success so far, you think that you have the problem solved and that from here on in, every succeeding session should provide you with better and better responses. It simply doesn't work that way.

I'm sure that absolutely EVERY successful user of Aneros tools will report having "dry" or "dud" sessions, even after their first so-called super-O. Personally, I'm not even sure I could define a super-O, even though I am sure I have had two or three in the past couple of years. (BTW, I began this journey in June 2009, so I have had a bit of experience and have used all Aneros tools with the exception of the DeVice.

IMHO, you need to take a much more detached view of what you are experiencing. Try to be a lot less analytical about it and, if you genuinely feel that you are not making any progress, back off!

I have deliberately held back from responding to your posts in recent weeks because I know I have given you this advice before. It seems to me that the biggest favour you can do yourself right now is to take a serious long break from all Aneros activity and return to it afresh in a few months time. I really think you are becoming quite stale of Aneros and all it stands for!

I really think you are overly obsessed with this whole process. It is not like starting an old tractor-step on the gas pedal, pull out the choke, crank it, repeat, etc. It is all about your mind receiving sensations and keying into internal body sensations. Distractions such as how am I holding my leg, what to watch, questioning every action, only serve to mask any feelings your aneros is generating.

For me the magic bullet has been a little pot. I have a pretty active mind and it calms me down and puts me right in the zone where the o's begin. If that isn't your thing, maybe some wine or other relaxant will help.
I am surprised that I don't read more on this forum about marijuana and the heightened pleasures it produces in conjunction with the aneros.

I see you have almost 300 posts, maybe less time reading, posting and thinking about all this would help. Somehow you need to try a calmer more zen like approach.

Now to answer your questions.

1) slight contractions on my back til things get going
2) occasionally view something but find it distracting
3) about 1 hour, sometimes 15 minutes sometimes 2 hours all depends on time available
4) 4-5 ml of KY jelly or other water based lube, a little Vaseline is good, too.
5) daily if I can

The most important thing for me is proper lubrication and relaxation (aided by a little marijuana).

@inhope this is what I was trying to tell you (although I didnt take the time and finesse @Gilman did and properly describe my thoughts). Take his advice its golden. As far as the questions what difference does it make what others do....they are not you thus what they do probably will not work.

1. Lying on back, legs flat, dark room, only occasional gentle contractions, as needed (the pleasure leads the way here - if the involuntaries are active and feeling good, then I let them work).
2. Nope. Never works during a session. The erotic timing has to come from within and I have to shut down external distractions. My best experiences were trance-like, deep and empty.
3. 2 - 3 hours.
4. I use water based. No clear ideas whether more or less is better. Doesn't seem to make much difference currently.

5. Not usually. Sometimes I'll be on a roll and want to use it every day for about a week.

The questions you ask here are not things I'd put at the top of my list of importance though. My biggest question in a list like this would be "What sensation do you focus on?" and "What is your mindset?".
I think of it like turning a dial on a radio and picking out a signal from all the noise, there's more than one station. In the past few months it feels like I've found a new station. That lower abdomen feeling of warm dizziness, which is almost nauseating and adrenaline-like. Staying with that signal has lead to some nice sessions, and one or two amazing fully prostate-based orgasms. I don't know what the hell I was focused on before, but it wasn't this.
I'd say stop chasing an orgasm on the frequency you're locked into and see what else you can pick out from the noise. You might be overlooking a weak signal that comes in very strong after a while.

I'm more interested in how people positioning their legs, if i have my legs up they ache after a while (like 30 mins or so) was trying to see if there is another way of doing the same thing is all, seems to have the muscle engaged which is a distraction, looking at easy around it as we speak.

to the people that are saying I'm obsessed etc: read my latest posts in my other threads, this was made well before i made progress and moved on from such things. Still, its nice to know how you guys have your sessions, so keep posting people 🙂

inhope, I found out about three months ago that I can engage my prostate more intensely if I rotate my left leg out (gently splay the foot). I need to be totally relaxed to get any sort of results, so I'm an on-the-back fellow. Legs always flat to erase tension, but I do adjust leg position from time to time. When my pelvis starts vibrating, I usually have better results by pulling my thighs together and lying like a pencil.

Now on to the questions.

1. I mostly answered this, yes? Flat on back, left leg splayed. Flattish pillow under head. Naked except for socks and sometimes a hat. Instrument of choice = smallest peridise (I own almost every other model, though).

Method is a mix of nipple stim and do nothing. Before I even get the device ready, I spend about fifteen minutes suctioning my nipples to sensitize them with "Little-suckers (I can't remember what they're called). Then I remove them, insert Peridise, and initiate the do-nothing portion.

I concentrate on breathing and let the feelings come. It takes about 45 minutes to get into the zone, if it's going to happen at all.

When my whole body comes alive and I feel sexual energy throughout my torso, I start caressing my belly and nipples. I vary nipple stim for the entire rest of the session, sometimes stopping for several minutes at a time to concentrate on the internal sensations.

2. I try to incorporate porn occasionally, but it never adds anything to sessions. Best practice: I like to look at some soft videos, like movie excerpts, an hour or two before the session to get in the mood or to stock up on some images to fantasize about. During a session, though, it's best if I have my eyes closed and my mind mostly at rest.

3. Sessions vary from 40 minutes to 2.5 hours. Most are about an hour and 15 minutes.

4. Actually having best results these days with silicone. I pre-lube myself with a finger, then a coating on the peridise (it's so small!), and that's it.

5. I have sessions almost every day.

95% of the time my sessions are:
"Do nothing" - It comes to me, I don't usually have to "do" anything for success. I lay on my back, legs slightly bent, feet flat. Naked, freshly showered, darkened room, soothing music. Eliminate distractions. Everything I need nearby - towels, lube, my Aneros collection. No expectations with completely relaxed.


2. Do you use porn?


Rarely at all. It does arouse, but is distracts.


3. How long do you have sessions for?


30 minutes to 4 hours riding. There are also the after effects that may last MUCH longer. And, I am lucky to have Aneros-less multiple orgasms. Those sessions vary in length and intensity as well.


4. What sort of lube works best for you?


A layer of Vaseline with a layer of oil over that. If prep time is limited, I use a commercial gel, AstroGlide.


5. Do you have sessions every day?


Darn it…no! As with many of my fellow Anerosians, my alone time is very limited. However, being able to have -less sessions anytime I want, and a wife who understands my "orgasmic gyrations," I don't need alone time to enjoy being a rewired multi-orgasmic man! 🙂

i should have made another point:

6. for those having long session i.e. 2+ hours, are they because you don't feel anything for a long while and need those hours to reach a successful point, or 2 hours of orgasms?

I've had two session since taking a 4 day break (as suggested by others) and the techniques i did and things I felt before no longer work... 2 sessions in so far. Do nothing seems to be making me feel something, but last 2 sessions i just felt.... nothing at all really (except for a sort of short lived build up when doing nothing, contractions results in nothing at all being felt anymore... un-wiring maybe)?

I had some of the best sensations early this morning. I was sleeping with my bobtailed Maximus, when I suddenly woke up from some wild thrusting sensations, which got me to bucking with it, and breathing like I've never breathed before during one of these. I started thinking, "OMG, this is going to be the BIG ONE!" Then my wife groggily asked, "Is everything all right? What's going on?" This is the second time this has happened, when I'm on the brink of a paradigm-changing, threshold-breaking orgasm. How did you damage your prostate/nerves Badger?

At least you have had dry o's, something i am still yet to experience 4 years in! though i feel i did some damage early on which to this day remains when i first got my aneros. (i milked myself with the device which caused pain when i would cum through sex for months/a year afterwards, a 'stinging' ejacualtion. Well, yes and no.
It's not 2 hours of what I'd class as full blown orgasms, but there is pleasure to ride, and it's present at some level all the time. It's nice enough that I want to keep going, and it may peak into a full orgasm or not. 3 hours is my limit, after which point the feelings start to fade and things get numb and boring.

@inhope, I have both degenerative disk disease, and osteoarthritis, in the bottom three disks in my back, that's been going on for nearly 20 years. When I first tried my Helix, the sensations weren't what they were some twenty years ago, when I inserted a set of Duo-Tone balls and desperately wanted to orgasm, but enjoyed the delectable sensations anyway. Right after I got my first Aneros, the Helix, I noticed that deep inside me, near the prostate, it felt cold. That cold has spread to the whole rectal region, and the sensations are pretty much numb, at best. Until there's a major breakthrough with nerve regeneration, it's going to be a very, Very long time before an appreciable portion of my sensations will return. But the biggest Aneros seem to work the best, giving me the most sensations and action.

1. I use it on my side, legs bent, usually when I'm reading or snuggling with my wife. I relax first and then contracts lightly until I feel contact and then play with the contraction strength to "keep the contact" and generate nice sensations.


2. Do you use porn? Sometimes I read sex stories but not all the time. I read other stuff until I am too distracted by the nice feelings and then I put everything down and try to just generate more sensations.


3. How long do you have sessions for? Usually under an hour. Then my wife usually becomes impatient and takes over 😉


4. What sort of lube works best for you? Aneros lube in my rectum and pjur silicon lube on the helix

Below are my answers to your questions:

For the first eighteen or nineteen months of my Aneros sessions, I had most my sessions with my lying on my back with my butt on a folded pillow and my upper body propped up on more pillows right next to my dresser. I also during many of those months had long Kegel contractions against my Aneros tools, especially Maximus and Progasm for probably five, ten months. Such Kegeling strengthened and toned my anal musculature and sphincters which have helped me a great deal along in my Aneros journey.


However now I lie on my right side with my right leg straight down and my right leg hooked almost up to my chest. This is the recommended position as given in the Aneros Instructions for Use. I tire less easily in this position which is ideal for penetration of even my larger models. This position is also ideal for the Do-Nothing-Technique. When I adopted this position under recommendation by @ineverknew in early February, my sessions really took off.


2. Do you use porn?


No, not at all before a session. Pornography is a great distraction.


3. How long do you have sessions for?


On the average, 1.5 to 4 hours.


4. What sort of lube works best for you?


For lubricant, I began with AstroGlide but in fall 2012 switched to extra virgin olive oil which works perfectly.

Depends. Sometimes I have sessions every other day (recommended by Aneros Directions for Use). Sometimes every day. However I seldom have sessions on Sunday.

Great thread and same questions I had!

Disclaimer: lots of fun, but not over the top yet.


1) mostly on left side, knees bent together (top knee slightly more bent over bottom knee), feet entwined or just pressed together. Balls between thighs, cock out and dangling down but as clear from touching legs/belly/bed. I do often thrust but cant determine if this is good or bad (going to stop and do-nothing for a while and see). Sometime on back with flat feet but no luck really. Lots of nipple stim (surprised at the direct-to-prostate electricity this provides), however, arm/hand position sometimes distracts.


My question for the straight-leg users is what do you do with your cock? If I straighten my bottom leg, this rolls me over more and my cock touches the bed hijacking to a normal wet orgasm...


2) I use porn but it truly is distracting - and as said before, the timing isnt usually right. I struggle with clearing the mind and fantasizing... SO, I will now leave the porn out of the room based on feedback above (thanks everyone!)


3) minimum 1.5 hours... usually around 2.5. but hard to find free time. I've gone 8 before (NOT good due to dehydration). I've also tried sleeping but also didnt do much for me. Also, as said above, my warming up time is about 45 min also.


4) I've tried Tenga lube (ok), coconut oil (good but dries out after a while), currently on Gleitfreude a german glycerin product (not bad). Also I just started pre-lubing with 5ml and seems to help prevent the "lock-in" I seem to get regularly, plus pre-lube the Helix. Also, some vaseline on the device + lube helps somewhat.


5) I have lately done sessions everyday but noticed a better sensation after taking a few days off...


Additional:
* soundcloud "edging" tracks are great but like porn, I think distract
* hot bath before is also great - gets the heart pumping
* breaking a session to pee holds me back a full 30 min to return to same level
* I started with MGX and Eupho, but picked up a Helix which is much better for me
* I am about 4 months on the journey
