I am in a rut here. For the last two or three months I have been getting pissed off very time I have a session. The first ten minutes are great and the pleasure is intense. Then suddenly, I find I am thinking of something completely off the subject and all sensation is gone. Sometimes a tweak of a contraction can start the sensations off again but with no real conviction. I give up. I seem unable to resume the pleasurable state and the wonderful surges will not return. I can't see what I'm doing wrong. I'm beginning to be afraid to use the Aneros in case it lets me down. I know this seems silly but it is not a happy state. Has any one else found this?

@Tomasheen honestly start using "the aneros challenge" audio files it should help. The audio helps keep the whole body focused.You must use headphones.

You could also try wearing headphones while you have a porn video playing. The audio from porn videos keep me aroused during my sessions, especially if there is a lot of moaning and panting.

Free websites such as xHamster and Redtube have a lot of videos longer than 30 minutes so you won't need to worry about switching videos constantly.

Sounds like a dry spell. I had a three month one this last winter. It eventually went away. It seems to be a common occurrence on the forum. I did use the time to get in touch with some of the more subtle feelings that get lost during a normal session. I don't know if there was benefit from this other than it kept me interested.

Pay attention to the other aspects of your life and health. I found that poor Aneros sessions are a good indicator of potential health issues and too much stress.

I'm beginning to appreciate the value of arousal. When I'm aroused and thinking arousing thoughts, there is a definite added intensity. When I'm not thinking arousing thoughts, the other mind noise takes over and like a switch, just shuts the Aneros down.

If your health is good and you aren't stressed, relax. The good times will return.

perhaps you need to be more aroused.
set an alarm clock (~60min) and continue until it rings - if you are having a good session, continue, if not stop but dont finish with penile masturbation.dont expect the sensations to increase every minute. they might fade but come back in just a moment after relaxing, dirty inner cinema and/or some nipple stimulation.

I have had a better experience today. I used my Syn and was surprised at the length of time I was able to relax and enjoy. The waves came and came and when they subsided, I gently nudged the contraction muscles and it all began again. Very pleasant. One thing I feel is important though is the question of Poo! For me, there must be NO poo. Even the smallest feeling of poo present puts a dampener on my efforts. So I only start a session when I have cleared out the caves and cavities! The aneros feels so different in there then. Its freer, lighter and much more flexible and the results are so much better. It pays to take this to heart. You're giving the aneros more room to move about. Sorry if you are having a meal!

I'm so glad you are making progress again!

I have found that after a dry spell, things change, prevoius routines may be different, and the intensity may ramp up. Just be sensitive to new sensations, even if they are subtle. The amazing thing about Aneros is how your reaction to it changes over time. We just have to be able to put our frustration aside and feel.
