Hi guys,
One of the most unsettling annoyances and nuisance of the present Aneros.com site for me has been its uncommonly short login times. I have lived with this reality since the erection of the new web site in April to today when I lost a long blog post because I had not paid attention to these short login times. Generally these login durations are 15 minutes to a half-an-hour. We could stay logged in old web site without any problem. Has anybody noticed this??? It has put a crimp in posting thoughtful Forum and Blog posts. (Oh, I use copy and paste generally, but not today).
Here is the copy of an e-mail I set to Aneros Support/Tech a few minutes ago:
"Aneros Support,
"I do have some thoughts about this uncommonly short Aneros login times of your current Aneros site. One of the guys in Aneros Chat told me that it could be due to the server you use.
"Also there may be a problem of coordination with the login of the back end of site which doesn't work for me now, with the login of front end which does work.
"I never had this problem with the old Aneros site. I was able to stay logged in for long periods of time with no problem at all.
"The problem of short login times with your new site is an annoyance which I had to live with since April. It would be so nice if Aneros Tech would resolve this problem soon once and for all."
Please forward this e-mail to Aneros Tech. Thank you,
I second what BigGlansDC has stated. I too have lost detailed blogs only to have to recreate them. It is extremely frustrating! Please help the bloggers! BTW, could there be a "pop-up" indicating how many minutes/seconds are left? And a way to increase that time, say for another 30 minutes?
Thank you, @goldenboy. Your suggestion of "pop-ups" warning our time online lapsing is a good idea.
The whole new website is horribly deficient compared to the old one. We have lost active participation by so many great posters here. Techpump comes to mind. Yes, he is still here, but not nearly as prolific and insightful as the old website. So many people who had such a helpful attitude are gone. Sad. Sad. Sad.
@BigGlansDC , I also lost a few long blogs due to time-out and I wrote a post about it about a month ago I also wrote a polite note to Support about it but I guess it is still not fixed. I now copy and paste when I write a long one. We should not have to do that. Thanks for bringing it up to the surface again.

@Turnrow, we also lost prolific blogger, lingaman, who could not adjust to the changes of the redesigned web site. @GGringo, another big annoyance of the blog section is that when I try to post a blog post, I get a 404 error message. I do not know if Aneros.com takes down the Blog section for this to happen, but a good 12 hours later, my blog post is posted. Strange!
@BigGlansDC , a few weeks ago, I took a screen shot of the error 404 and sent it to Support. It's as if it was something they never saw before and they are working on it.
@GGringo, I am so glad that you have the back of us Aneros bloggers!
More often than not I shun taking the time to go out to the web to research a response or find a Wiki quote or weblink for a newbie.
Hi guys,
Andrew from Aneros Tech contacted me by e-mail this afternoon about the issues of short login times and 404 error messages coming from blog posts. We exchanged a few e-mails about these two issues. He told me that Aneros Tech wants to resolve them.
You should not have a problem being logged out if you check Remember Me when you log in.
